Had a great out of Town experience with Colton's Steakhouse! We were in town for a baseball tournament and brought over 30 people to eat and they did great! They worked together to get us all fed at a great price and the food was great! definitely recommend! read more

Our most recent visit to Colton's was not on par to the good food and service we have had in the past. Although we were seated promptly, it took a while before we were able to order, and things seemed a bit slow. I think only about two waitresses were working the main dining room, and there was a good crowd. The dressings for our salads and appetizer had surely been watered down as they were quite runny. Our steaks were not quite cooked to our likings (mine too red, my husband's too done), and the green bean sides were under seasoned. Two of the three of us who ordered them left them mostly uneaten. Our previous visits to Colton's were 5 star, so I hope our next visit will be as well. read more

We waited 25 minutes for our waiter to show up (which never happened) and as we were leaving I'm assuming our waiter and another waitress were debating who was going to serve us. Ten minutes prior, my husband spoke to the bartender about who our waiter was and noticed that the waiter ignored the bartender. We've been eating here since they opened in Radcliff and most of the staff know us. The third waitress offered to wait on us because she knows us and comp our meal. read more

I LOVE Colton's. I went in for my first time for a friends birthday and I keep going back. Personally I like them waay better than Texas Roadhouse. The prices are fair and the restaurants nice. Their beer selection is great! Please go to Colton's if you're in town! read more

The service was amazing. They are very kind. On one condition. I had their steak with chopped onions on top with okra and sweet potato fries. Sweet potato fries were on point and so was the okra but the steak was really salty... maybe if it was little light on the salt then it would get 5 stars. read more

We had a party of 9 at 630 p.m. on a MO day. Store full. Waited an hour to be seated, We were the only ones on their waiting list. Waited an hour on our food. Had to ask for rls, waitress said they were cooking them. Rolls were delicious, no seconds!!!Everything was very good except a ribeye was all gristle and reserved. Two people order cheeseburgers but came plain, had to ask for y lettuce and mayo, they looked good and my grand stated so.I had CHICKEN FRIED CHICKEN, it was the best chicken I have EVER eaten. My wife's potato soup looked like mayonaise. She said it tasted that way to!! I've never ate steak sauce with my steak until now! The filet was so bad I had to drown it with A-1. Very rarely do I leave low marks for a restaurant but this is one I cannot avoid. I love a great steakhouse, I have traveled all over this country and had many different experiences but this was one of the worst I hate to say. First impression (what drew me in) close to fort knox, looks like a nice classic Texas steakhouse. I am seated in a booth that I have to say must have been designed around the most scrawny fella on this earth. I have only been out of the military a little while and put on a few pounds but this was downright ridiculous. You could not fit in the booth comfortably, the table was crushing you the whole time. NOT COOL. Who wants to sit down for a steak dinner and worry about the waist expanding and not having enough room to sit comfortably? Not this guy. Next thing was the food. The sirloin steak dinner I ordered was something else. The steaks presented looked like something in a child's play set. The steak was in no way charred anywhere but on the "grill marks" that looked like they were drawn on with a sharpie marker. That's not steak, Definitely not TEXAS steak. The sides were ok, but hey I came for a steak and you lost me after that. I give em two stars because I appreciate that they offered me a Veterans discount without me asking (some folks just have the look I guess). I do appreciate when people make the effort and do this for Americas most sacred citizens. This always means a lot to me. Thank you for that Coltons, but the Veteran in me still has Integrity and has to tell it like it is. I won't be back, I will head up to the other side of E town to a steak house that has never let me down and knows how to cook the steak right. read more

It's not that this restaurant is bad, per se; it's just that they really do nothing special in terms of their food. I mean the place has an interesting design to it with a moose and cattle head hanging on the wall. The free unlimited peanuts are a nice touch, but the food is nothing special and doesn't particularly warrant a drive from Fort Knox or even the middle of Radcliff. I just wish they could have improved on the food because they did fine on everything else. Anyway, there was a bucket full of peanuts on the table and another empty bucket beside it to dispose of the shells in. It's a fun little novelty, but not enough to impress me. Their dinner rolls were warm but also quite generic and possibly store-bought. We ordered a fried onion appetizer which was good and more than enough for three people, but I felt sick after eating it for a while. I ordered a Caesar salad as a side that they brought to the table in very little time, but again it had the same familiar store-bought taste to it. My steak and lobster dish was quite ordinary; the steak was small and somewhat plain while even the lobster managed to be nothing spectacular. It's not every day that most people get to eat lobster; in fact, I remember last having it six and a half years ago, and it was simply amazing back then. Here, it just kind of felt like they were cutting corners. The steamed broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots off to the side were largely devoid of flavor. I can't complain about the service, though. Our waitress was exceptionally nice to us and happy to tell us about her military husband of 23 years. I get the feeling that this is the type of establishment that would typically attract people of a military background, but it's somewhat far off-post and even outdone by several restaurants closer than it. Also, I don't know whether this is due to their food not being cooked right or some other sort of contamination, but I felt rather sick to my stomach after eating here. Visiting Ft Knox, came in for family dinner. Server was loud, intrusive, and leaning over the table. Trying to have conversation, we were interrupted as if the meal was about her. Food was OK, but difficult to enjoy. Bad experience. Need delicate touch not disorderly conduct. Disappointing as we had made an expensive trip for this visit. read more

We have stopped at this restaurant several times on our way through. We've always had great service. This time we walked in told the server 2 stepped to the side because of social distancing. She proceed to take several couples back to be seated then looked up and said oh do you need seated, I said yes were told as soon as that first table was cleared. All the food was rushed at once. The appetizer came back after the main course meal. And mid meal it was brought out. I was trying to inform the waiter that we don't want the chips for it being after the meal. I was still charged for the meal still. Waiter was ok. This is a hidden gem in Radcliffe. It's not really hidden though. I ate here probably four times in the week I was there. I didn't have anything I didn't like. The cheese sticks are huge and if I could eat those everyday I would. Their burgers are amazing and also very large. One night I ordered the chicken strips because apparently I'm seven years old. They were more like chicken breasts. I've never seen chicken strips that big before. They were cooked perfectly and tasted fantastic. Those tossed in buffalo sauce and dipped in ranch is a match made in heaven. I'll definitely be going back as many times as possible when I go back to Kentucky. read more

It's Coltons. It's a Meh steakhouse. Food is usually tolerable. Tonight was the exception. Ordered steak medium it came rare. Someone else with us had their order botched as well. But... instead of firing a new steak i get my same steak back just thrown back on the grill for a few. Sad... i have not seen this done before. Lost its flavor and it looked horrible. Ranch dressing was really watered down, salads were sad with 1 onion, cheese and a few random tiny tomatoes thrown in. Overall meal was almost edible. The waitress tried her best but the kitchen failed her. Quit being so cheap! It's obvious! I will not come here again. read more

Overall, a really good lunch stop with friendly service and great food. The food is typical "roadhouse" steakhouse fare. That being said, the sirloin was cooked nicely, the honey with the bread was a nice touch, and the unlimited peanuts in a bucket on the table all contributed to a solid lunch. The friendly waitstaff, clean restrooms, and laid back atmosphere a rounded out the experience. The one exception was that I was here on business and the Wi-fi signal was very weak (prob. Friday night about 5:30 got right in and grabbed a table before the dinner crowd. Greeted by a friendly waitress who took our drink order and we asked for onion straws for appetizer. A few minutes later a plate of thinly sliced, seasoned and fried to perfection onion strings arrived at our table. They were complemented with a delicious sauce and a basket of warm rolls. There was a bit if delay between finishing the appetizer and dinner. It got to be a bit longer than I like, so stretch the appetizer and the conversation so you don't sit in a silent awkwardness waiting on dinner. I ordered the loaded chicken and my daughter got the fettuccine with shrimp. She enjoyed every bit of hers. My chicken was a bit in the dry side, extra Dijon mustard helped that problem a bit. Overall, not bad. It might not be on my list of regular go to's... but I would give it another try. read more

I was pleasantly surprised with good service this time. That usually hasn't been the case. The food was good and came out quickly. My husband had chicken fried chicken and said it was pretty good. I had the strawberry pecan salad with raspberry vinaigrette dressing, which is something I would usually never order, and it was great. Definitely recommend Colton's. read more

Had heard great things about the experience but despite reserving a party room a month ago for my newphews graduation & calling to say we were running late (due to traffic leaving the school parking lot), we arrived 11 minutes after our scheduled time to find out that the room was given to another party. There was no apology, no nothing. Just a matter of fact type attitude from both staff and management. Had we known that we would not be accommodated and the room was not available, we would have tried coordinating something else instead of ushering our party in then out. When we called, we were told that arriving 10-15 minutes late was okay. Very poor experience on what was a very special day. read more
