I ordered chicken fried chicken expecting it to taste like fried chicken (as it normally does) but it tasted terrible, my husband LOVES chicken and he didn't like it either. I told waitress and she got manager, who informed us that corporate orders those product and it's actually lemon pepper flavored. Stated they get a lot of complaints, she offered to get me another meal and/or remove this from my bill. She also offered a free dessert, but we chose chocolate cake which they were out of! So she gave us coupons for 2 free appetizers and desserts. Very helpful read more

Wow! Really worth the drive from Fort Knox to this location. Have only been in a town for a few days but must say that this is the best food and service that I've yet to experience. Our server, Brittany was amazing. Always quick with refills and suggestions on what the "locals" eat. I love her accent, which she swears she doesn't have (LOL). The way she says "sweet tea" made me order it, and I was not let down. It's sweet without being overly "sugary". She suggested having the sirloin with "Del Rio" sauce. It's made in house and goes with literally anything. My wife got it on the shrimp and her steak. It was SO DELICIOUS!! Not 100% sure what's in it but let's just say you can put it on anything (to include salad) and it will change your life for the better. Had to request another sauce just to dip my bread rolls in. It's that good! The dinner rolls are made in house and are super soft and come to the table piping hot so be careful when reaching in the basket. They serve it with softened butter and honey on the side. I tried the rolls plain then with butter/honey; both were equally amazing. The decor is similar to a Texas Roadhouse but the atmosphere is more laid back and family style here. All the servers appear to enjoy what they do and they assist each other which is always a sign of good management practices. Overall, this place is a "MUST TRY/GO TO" if you are ever in the Fort Knox area. Special shout out to Brittany for the suggestions, service and friendliness. I would actually rate this place a 3.5, but since there is no such thing I would rather give it a 4 star instead of a 3 star. The steak was good, but not great. It was just missing something. I am not sure what it was, but the steak did not stick out like something from Longhorns or a Texas Roadhouse. I am not sure, but I think Colton's Steakhouse was formerly a Saltgrass Steakhouse remodeled to a local spot. Their salad was huge, so if you are in the mood for vegetables or a healthy choice then their salad is a good choice. My server was an LGBT guy that I had to give a double take to, but since I have no issues with LGBT people it did not bother me. All I can say was that his customer service skills were very good. This is our (co-workers and family) go to eatery. We enjoy the atmosphere, the service, food, seating, just the whole place in general. The pork chops are my go to dish (need to try other dishes)..lol...location is great, especially if you need to stay kind of close to work, but want some distance. Only issue I have is, they serve Mr. Pibb (fake Dr.Pepper ). I won't fault them on that, every restaurant can't be perfect...lol. Overall, great place, highly recommended. read more

Okay this place isn't awful but I also wouldn't eat here again. The service: super friendly host but our waiter wasn't the best. He was bad at refilling drinks (they weren't busy) and he often checked on tables around us, but not us. The food: I LOVED the Caesar salad, the potato soup was almost slimy feeling (gross), and the potato trails were great. The sweet tea also smacks . The store itself was cute. We went to a new restaurant tonight. Colton's Steakhouse in Radcliff. I ordered the "Montana Burger" with sweet potato fries and a half/half peach tea. They also serve fresh, hot rolls with whipped butter. Merijayne got the kids menu sirloin steak bites with steak fries and a sprite. My dad got a steak and sweet baked potato. My bonus mama got a grilled chicken salad. The food was PHENOMENAL and our server Katie was AMAZING. 15/10 service. And for being a steakhouse restaurant, it was NOT as expensive as I thought it would be. The lighting was pretty and for the amount of people in the restaurant, it wasn't overcrowded. read more

I really like Colton steakhouse and grill. I've been there probably about five or six times in my life. And it's a really solid atmosphere. It's right down the street from where my wife used to work so we will go here sometimes on her lunch break or after work we picked up our daughter trying to figure out somewhere to go and this is a good place to get a good steak good salad good potato with really good service. It's a really good spot for Radcliffe and you're in the area it's definitely worth checking out read more

First time here, not a fan. The server was good, Stephanie, she kept the sweet tea coming and was very friendly. I had no complaints until the food came out. I ordered the Hawaiian Ribeye, Steak Fries, Okra. As you can see I tried a few bites of each, I'm not a fan of the Hawaiian flavor. I'll take the hit on that, I love pineapple but this was not good. So I shifted to the Okra, it was under cooked and had a raw taste despite being fried. I tried approximately 5 to be sure I didn't just pick up an oddball bite. Fries were ok I guess, but my appetite was gone by this point. I can honestly say that this is the first time I've not finished a plate and also refused a to-go box. Over $40 with tip and I ate maybe 10 bites total, I have no desire to try again later... probably grab a fast food burger on the way home. One big thing that stood out is that no one even bothered to ask why I sent my entire meal back. No one asked how the food was. No manager came by to see if there was an issue when I didn't eat. It felt like they knew the food isn't good so let's avoid asking. Just my opinion of course. Oh the rolls were very good though! read more

We had such a good experience with with a family dinner that we decided to return the following night. Our server the first night was Bonnie and she was excellent--friendly and attentive. The server on the second night truly detracted from the overall experience. While the food was good, nearly as good as the first night (I did order the same option) the server was subpar. She insisted on all adults showing ID even though the youngest adult was 41 and the oldest adult was 72. She never even looked at anyone's ID, she just did her little powerplay and snapped that she was not going to get into trouble over us not showing ID. She did not bring peanuts to the table--the previous night, two buckets of peanuts were provided for our party of 7. The second night our party of 8 had to get up and ask for peanuts--and were provided with one bucket. Not a big deal but it added to the declining experience. Then we could overhear the server loudly complaining at the reception desk after we expressed how ridiculous it was for senior to be carded. She then returned and went through a tutorial of just how she was going to take orders: it would be "to the left" (clockwise) and would begin with the "lovey lady right here." Obviously, we were to be prepared when this server, who was probably 20, was ready to take our order. It was so condescending. Even her manner of calling each adult "hun" and two young boys "sir" was off-putting. I am not sure I believe it is Colton's policy to card EVERYONE; if it is, it needs to be revisited. Our party two young children and six adults--41, 42, 66,69, 70 and 72. Somehow Bonnie was able to easily determine that the six of us were of legal drinking age without the need of a carding us. Well were in the area for a while. At one point the server tried to dial it back and became so obsequious that it was obnoxious. As mentioned we had such a good experience the first night we opted to return the following night rather than go to another establishment. Needless to say, we are not returning to that Colton's or to any other. Hopefully, some training can fix the issues and the server can adjust her attitude. It is indeed unfortunate when a server's attitude can so greatly detract from a dining experience. read more

So, I gotta be brutally honest... Most of the time, if the food is so-so but the service shines, I'll take great service with mediocre food... Not bad food, mind you, but average. I will even go back and give it another shot because the service was so good. Welp Yelp... Probably one of the glaring exceptions I make is with a steakhouse or a sushi house. When you're specifically going for steak or sushi, the food should shine. I am sad to say, that Colton's disappointed with regard to the steak. After moving to Central Kentucky, we wanted to try different regional chains and local restaurants that we never been to before. My hubby's big on steak and he was craving it, so we ended up at Colton's. At first, I was pleasantly surprised that there was a Hawaiian steak on the menu and being that he loves pineapple so much, I figured it was serendipity at its best. Sigh. For any steak lovers out there, the steak you pay good money for should be better than one you can cook at home. Nope. Sorry. While it wasn't the most expensive steak we've ever paid for, it definitely was not one of the better ones. Not even close. It was tough and it was fatty and that ruined it for my husband. And if the steak had been a tiny bit better, I would have given them a four for the service alone. I will say, the place was clean and again, the service was great but I definitely don't think we'll be going back when we are craving steak. read more

Portions are large and perfectly prepared and the prices are more than reasonable for the quality of food. Definitely on our short New visit. Tried the grilled salmon. If there's anything as good as their sirloin it's this. Flaky, cooked perfectly and served with a delicious raspberry sauce. Gonna eat a lot of this. Ordered food to go at the bar. The female bartender was just incredibly nice and attentive! She packaged the food so well that when I got home I was throughly impressed! You could tell they care about the customer! We had ordered a ton of food, and for the price I was shocked. They don't skimp and all the food was delicious! My steak was grey with grill burn marks. Potato had a rubber skin and barely microwaved to temp. Steamed veggies were flavorless broccoli and cauliflower. Absolutely awful. My steak was chewy and raw. The ribs were so over cooked that it was like eating jerky. The loaded potato's had so much load there was hardly any potato's. Tasted like I was eating a stick of butter dipped in sour cream. The salad dressing tasted like it spoiled. The table was sticky. The server was nice. read more

My husband and I decided to try this restaurant on a work trip. The restaurant was a little bit dead. My husband wanted to try the Ribeye 16 oz. (1240 cal.) It was lacking salt and flavor.
