Dinner, I had a steak and broccoli (boring but so good) Shrimp pasta good Brisket bad!!!! Burnt and dry couldn't cut it. Beans were terrible, mushy and no flavor. Waitress was good with drinks. The first time we went-Dad & I shared their largest steak with a baked potato. The steak was pure fat and the potato was so old it was dried out and brown. We waited a month and went back to try it again. It was a night and day experience. The steak was perfect and the baked potato was fresh! I would recommend it! Not sure what to say about this place. I've been coming here for years and I can honestly say this place is on the decline. Judging by the conditions of the parking lot with the trash and dead overgrown vegetation the place looks closed already. The interior a little dated and menus falling apart is a good sign of financial hardship. The food was ok. I question the "21 day aged meats as they were tough and hard to cut with a knife. DO NOT order the 6 ounce New York Strip steak special on the lunch menu. I should have taken a picture to post of it. I ordered it medium but no way it could have been cooked to order unless I ordered it raw!! It was only maybe a quarter inch thick (& that's being generous) and once it's seared on each side, it's well done! Very disappointing. I should have sent it back!!! Restrooms are nice not handicapped friendly. The owner came around and spoke to the tables. The owner is 83 and says he enjoys what he does and talking to the patrons. Great place for a steak ! Everything in their kitchen is made from scratch including their salad dressings, dips, and sauces. If you enjoy salmon, they have some of the best around. Today I tried their new special, brisket nachos. They were delicious with a hearty portion of smoked brisket on top. Great service, free rolls with cinnamon butter, and good cold Modelo on draft! I did not see the owner there the time I stopped by. I hope this is the same little dave that was on Cane Run Road when I was a child. He was a nice man and I remember him treating my family well. 84 would be about his age. The food was spot on... the service was good. I will gladly stop by here again... and hope to meet Dave. This is like a small version of Texas Roadhouse. Located in the small town of Brandenburg. We decided to come here after a family outing while down visiting. We were seated promptly and got to order our food rather quickly. I got the Bacon Cheeseburger with fries. For the most part, the bacon was the right amount of crisp and had some raw parts in there but, not too bad. The fries were mediocre at best. We also got to meet Little Dave himself, he came to our table and thanked us for coming in and asked if we needed anything. He went to the other tables and did the same thing. Decided to try this because it was close to the Quality Inn. We had to wait get seated for 10 minutes because the kitchen was out of cups! Strange! We were then seated and ordered drinks but the bartender didn't know what 7 and 7 was or Makers and water! The place was almost empty yet we waited for 15 minutes to get our dinner order taken. Tables were left piled with dirty dishes. Services is very bad. I would pass on this unless you are desperate there are plenty of other places in Brandenburg to eat. read more

So sad that this place has gone down hill. We've enjoyed going here for years, but last night will be our last visit. We went with 2 other couples. The ribeyes were burnt when they should have been medium. The grilled shrimp was dry and Luke warm. The baked potatoes were not cooked thru. The salads amounted to a pile of iceberg lettuce with a little cheese and some tiny pieces of tomato. Plenty of dressing tho. The manhattans were the only entrees that were acceptable! This used to be a great resturant. So disappointed tonight. Service was slow, kitchen was slower. Got the salad with the meal. Not a big deal. But steak and riblets were room temp at best. Riblets were tough, not "fall off the bone tender" as advertised. Grilled shrimp was hot but way overcooked and chewed like rubber. We stopped here today for lunch and were really impressed with everything about Little Dave's. I've ate at other locations he has owned over the years and I believe he's got it as good as it gets here in Brandenburg. The building is nice, well appointed & relaxing for a "roadhouse". The food was great. I had the BBQ Chicken, my wife the Mesquite Chicken. We both ate every bite and enjoyed the sides. Loved the rolls and cinnamon butter:) Very friendly staff and Dave even came to the table to make sure everything was perfect. He really works hard to keep his customers coming back. Good little restaurant! Just a small town store trying to offer food you would get at Texas Roadhouse. Catfish isn't the best but the Brandenburger is my go too. The fried cauliflower is very good! well i thought this place was alright but now ive changed my mind on that they served me food the pickles were not done they were still dough all over most of them the steaks were over cooked like really but what most gets me is when i went in for an interview they said they wanted me to work on that upcoming Friday at 4:30 pm and had to hear back from another manager to let me know what time exact to start i never hurd back from this place i then called and they said she would call me back but never once hurd anything till now they told me they had full filled the interviews and filled my position i don't recommend this because they will go under you this is not even professional at all dont tell someone a date and a time and have there hopes up for something that was not even what it was supposed to be!! never again will i apply to this place i will never eat at this place again i kept it professinal for as long as i could the manager is so bad that they will refuse to even give you corp number so dont even waste your time!! read more

I have given this place several chances. Each one was worse than the last. When you're seated you are lucky to see your waitress again because she will either be spending all of her time taking care of her friends that look like they just came out of a mud pit or she will be sitting in a booth on the other side of the restaurant on her phone. Recommended by the girls at Squire Boone Cavern. It was refreshing to go to a steak house without peanuts! My prime rib was one of the most tender I've ever had-I ordered medium rare and got medium well which is the reason the didn't get 5 stars, but it was still tender and flavorful. In their defense, ordering a med rare prime rib late on a Sunday afternoon when that roast was cooked last night or this morning, I was taking my chances. Yeast rolls were good, salad bar fresh and it didn't taste like chlorine! My husband had the chicken tenders which look hand breaded. Tender and not too salty. Overall, I can definitely say this restaurant did not leave a lasting impression on me. From start to finish service was mediocre at best. My boyfriend and I were promptly seated, and that may have been the quickest part of our hour and a half long experience. Our waitress was definitely not the greatest. I can honestly say we may have only saw her at the beginning and end. We never got asked if we wanted refills, let alone extra napkins. The seats I must say make a great place to wipe your paws if needed, I hope they wipe down the seats. However, I must add the yeast rolls with the cinnamon butter you receive are quite delicious. Furthermore, our food was good, not great but satisfying to the pallet and enough to fill the belly. Personal recommendation, do not order a garden salad as a side, unless you plan to eat a bowl of cheese and tomatoes. We were passing through from out of town. We had an amazing waitress named Charlie and Dave even stopped by to check in on us. I had one of the best fried chicken meals I've ever had and my husband loved his Cowboy burger. Not one aspect of our meal or dining experience disappointed us. Meal portions were huge. If we are ever traveling in this area we would definitely make it a point to stop here again. read more
