Anyway I would like to give Kudos to the excellent customer service that this particular location has extended to me and my family. when walking in you are greeted, asked what your looking for and directed to the section that may have what your looking for. After that they notify the associate in or near that dept that you are headed their way so they may assist you. On this particular occasion we were returning a bike recently purchased, as it had a manufacturer defect. Upon calling the store I explained the situation to Travis, the store Mgr and he quickly went to check stock to replace the defective product unfortunately they did not have one, so instead he offered to upgrade the bike at no cost to us and said he had a few choices my Son could pick from. Upon arriving we were met by SJ another store Mgr and informed us that he had been made aware of the situation and was expecting us, he than called back to the department associate to let them know we were on the way back to him. After my Son made his selection to our surprise SJ showed up back in the bike department to be a second set of eyes that completed the safety checklist that was performed by Moe the on duty bike tech at the time and also to make sure the transition went as smoothly at possible. I personally have not received this level of excellence in customer service for a very long time and even upon asking about a new shipment of YETI coolers SJ advised me to call the store as to check stock so I don't waste a trip. But in the end if you have any needs as far as any type of sporting goods this would be the place that I would recommend the only thing that seems to be lacking is the fishing gear which is no fault of their own blame COVID for that. But honestly even though we live closer to another location this is now my "new" home store. Definitely recommend on customer service only if that gets you in there. P.S. they also offer points for purchases and points for steps!!

Great selection of all kinds of things. Prices are a bit higher than those box stores but you get far better service and selection. They also have an old school style coffee and ice cream shop!! They even have other miscellaneous items to keep non-adventurers excited like soaps, toys, dish towels, hot sauce, dog toys, etc. Truly, they have it all! And... it's all priced the same as REI. Plus, staff has always been helpful when I've asked questions. And... they allow dogs in their stores! It's been a great spot to take our pup to socialize. :D

Reminded him by text 4 days in advance and he again assured me they would be ready. Day of, at noon, I went to pick up the skis and they were not ready, but he said if I came back at 5p (just before my flight) he would be done. Went back at 5p and they were not done. After swearing at me that he had too many f**ing tasks to do and too many customers so it wasn't his fault he said he could finish the tune while I waited for 10min and charged me full price. When I brought my skis in days later to adjust the bindings I was informed by a the new shop that "the skis have not been touched at all, the edges are so dull I can safely run my finger with pressure, there are 4-5 core shots needing repair for safety reasons, there is no basework, no grinding, and no wax." This shop charged half of Snow Hut and did a professional job and a full tune that you can see and feel. I have called my credit card company to revoke the charge since no work was done on the skis.

We stopped in to the place we had purchased it, our REI store being incredibly helpful and knowledgeable of such repairs, though they don't do any themselves. They gave us two names, Bare Boulder being the most comprehensive and a 20 minute drive away, on a prominent street in Lafayette. I called, got info from the owner, Eli, about general pricing and timing. We took the bag of poles out 3 weeks ago, the estimate in person was at the low end of general approximation on the phone. We dropped it off and was told about 3 weeks as my husband had no need to camp with for at least a month. We picked it up today, ready on time and beautifully done with even higher quality cord than original. The shop is amazing, with antique sewing machine display, thousands of sizes and colors of zippers, piles of buckles and straps. It appears he can fix such parts on almost anything, luggage, jackets, backpacks, scuba BC vests, tents handbags, tote bags, recreation gear galore. We will certainly return as we wear out more and more of our gear.
