Been here so many times but this is my first time reviewing their food. Chicken is one of my favorite meat, so to eat at a restaurant that focuses on chicken is my dream comes true. My go to order would be Miến Gà (chicken vermicelli) if I crave for noodle soup, since the broth is much lighter and the vermicelli texture is chewier than Phở. Their chicken is tender and goes well with ginger fish sauce. Staff are helpful and attentive. The restaurant is spacious and family-friendly with a variety of chicken dishes to choose from.

Solid chicken pho and chicken rice dish here at Com Ga Houston. Chicken Pho - 4/5 - Thought the broth was full of flavor and delivered a unique chicken pho taste. Only take off 1 star because the chicken itself was mild in taste. Com Ga(Chicken Rice) - Thought this was a Vietnamese take on Hainese Chicken Rice, but instead of a soy based dip there was a fish sauce dip. Overall, was solid w/ chicken flavors seeping throughout the grain of rice. But again, the chicken flavor itself felt neutral at best. Service was 5/5. Waiter was attentive to our needs.

My friend insisted we visit this place as it's his go-to for chicken pho. We had quick service and they brought out drinks as soon as we sat down. I ordered the mien ga thit trang (white meat and clear noodles). I asked for extra cilantro and bean sprouts, which they brought out at no extra cost. Everything was very tasty and the portions were good for the price. Their fish sauce was unique but a bit spicy for me personally.

I like the store, parking, atmosphere. It is clean, nice. The food is very good. I ordered Hu Tieu Ga and Goi Ga.

Great for chicken rice or noodles, and equally good to-go or dine-in. Often with Asian food, the quality is better dining in than take out. Not here! I've always had a good experience. I've called in advance and have also ordered in person and it's always fast. I live about 15 minutes away and when I get home it's still hot when I order the noodles. The chicken rice isn't supposed to be hot- so if you order that to go- don't expect it to be super hot. I'm sharing this only because my husband who is American thought it was not freshly cooked until I explained it to him. I love the Com Ga here because it's the closest I can get to Hainanese chicken rice in the area, which is one of my favorite things to eat. My only wish is that they would include a sauce for the rice. I know it's not traditional for this Vietnamese dish, but it makes it so much better when the chicken rice has a sauce. No matter though- I always have some in the fridge. I have tried many noodle combinations here and really they're pretty similar just with different types of noodles. I'm a big fan of blood cake so makes me so happy that they offer it here.

I remember when they first opened... it was soo delicious and something where you knew would hit the spot everytime... things have changed! Walking in, I was greeted right away. Service was great and fast. Portions are large and I like how the ambiance was clean and also still had those Vietnamese elements. The food was just unfortunately lacking. Not close to what I remember at all... maybe it's been too long since I last been here but today, on a Friday in DEC, not many people here unlike back in the day where it was always packed. Don't know if I caught them on an off day but hope they can find the old recipe and technique from back then!! Otherwise, it's going to be tough to want to come back.. though will for sure give here 1 more shot before final decision and spending more coin here

One of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in Atlanta! The chicken is fresh and flavorful. The goi ga is a must try! And I also love the mien ga! The portions are abundant! Customer service is great!

We've heard nothing but good things about this restaurant from family and friends. We decided to visit and we're disappointed in the lack of flavor. The portions were very generous but the amount of onion in my pho was overkill. The service was ok, nothing that made it stand out much.

This place is very minimal. Minimal service, minimal amount of effort, minimal care. Table was sticky, ground needed a good mopping, and utensils another good wash. Food was fine, not horrible but also not mind blowing. The soup/broth was probably my favorite part. I felt the rice was lacking flavor. There just wasn't anything special. I could have ordered the wrong item but not sure they left enough to be desired.

Came here on a Monday afternoon for lunch during their peek hours on a time crunch and I was impressed. We waited for about 10 minutes to be seated. I already knew what I wanted to order before came. Server was very busy but he sat us down and took our orders right away. He apologized for the wait and could tell I was on my lunch break and offered to push our orders to the top to get us in and out. Definitely a nice and good place for lunch or dinner. The chicken pho was delicious. I'm using not a big fan of Vietnamese pho as most of them all have strong packaging spices. However, the broth here was very flavorful and had a home cooked taste and not an instant taste. Chicken salad was good as well very savory with lots of flavor. Sugar cane drink was not what I expected. I was hoping for a freshly squeezed drink but instead it tasted like like it came from and instant package with a hint of orange juice.

Came here for lunch break, it was only us first diner @11:30am. Service was great. Food came out pretty fast. I was craving for some rice chicken porridge. It was decent.

Not many places in the area offer banh canh, mien, and/or hu tieu. Most places just have pho. So I'm excited to have a place to satiate my noodle cravings. As the name suggest, this is a chicken focused restaurant, so all the dishes have chicken or duck as the main protein. We ordered the goi and banh canh to-go. For the banh canh, you can choose between white and dark meats, with the latter being the more pricey one. Overall, it was enjoyable.

I dined at Com Ga Houston on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at noon. This restaurant specializes in steamed chicken that is served in a variety of ways - rice, congee, noodle soup, pho, salad, and more. There's something for everyone. Food: The food was authentic and tasted like it came out of a big Vietnamese family's kitchen as it has that home-style charm without the fancy restaurant-quality pizazz. Less is certainly more. I ordered the Hu Tieu Mi Ga. It tasted comforting, fulfilling but also light at the same time. I can imagine myself eating this when I have the cold or on a rainy day. The portion of chicken was generous and proportional, even for a big eater like myself. The broth was also aromatic. However, some dishes (especially the signature Com Ga) at my table were served with cold chicken and there were even some comments questioning the freshness of the chicken. Ambience: The restaurant was spacious and clean. There was certainly some effort put into the interior design. I like the basket-style light fixtures combined with the many indoor house plants. It brought a warmth to the restaurant. Service: Adequate. Server was friendly and accommodating. For a party of 9, I was impressed that all the food came out together and in reasonable time. Overall, I was pleased with my dining experience and I will return next time I'm in the area. If you're in a mood for something authentic, light, and comforting Vietnamese chicken, this restaurant is for you.

Pho Dai Loi 3 is a hidden gem, you wont be disappointed…read more Super generous portions and amazing flavor as well. Definitely will be my go-to!

I want to be upfront with this review and call out my experience honestly…read more Personally, I'm sensitive to heavy MSG usage. When I eat at many Japanese or Korean soup restaurants that don't rely heavily on MSG, I rarely get headaches afterward. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case here. I ordered the bún bò Huế, a spicy and rich Vietnamese noodle soup originating from the central city of Huế. Traditionally, it features a bold, savory broth flavored with lemongrass, shrimp paste, and chili oil, served with thick rice vermicelli noodles, sliced beef, pork (often shank or knuckle), and fresh herbs with crunchy vegetables like banana blossom or cabbage. The portion was generous and visually accurate to the dish, but the broth felt extremely heavy and overpowering for me, and I left with a noticeable headache--something that doesn't usually happen to me at similar soup-focused restaurants. As a side note, the restaurant had a health inspection score of 81 (low B) the last time I checked, which is fairly in line with many older, high-volume ethnic restaurants, but still worth mentioning for transparency. The location is also something to be aware of. It's in a busy parking lot with a lot of reckless driving activity, so be careful when walking--this isn't the kind of place where you can casually stroll through the lot like you might at Whole Foods or Publix. You definitely need to watch left and right. The surrounding businesses include an American Deli and a pizza buffet, which gives you an idea of the overall environment. Overall, Pho Dai Lo serves authentic, bold-flavored Vietnamese dishes, and fans of strong, intense broths may enjoy it. However, if you're sensitive to very rich seasoning or additives, your experience may vary. Im Asian btw I know msg is used in a lot of viet and Chinese dishes and maybe the reasons why I enjoyed this dish. But I do have regret after coming out. It's not cheap either for two person with tip roughly $20 pp. u can get all you can eat buffet or even the Gohan seafood buffet if you think about it.

She's been there so long that I just call her my aunty at this point. Today, I did a little takeout haul--grabbed five banh mi sandwiches (Shrimp, Steak, Chicken, Special Combo & BBQ Pork). The wait time was super chill, maybe 15-20 minutes max. My usual go-to is the Special Combo, but since I was ordering for friends, I let them pick first. Ended up with the Shrimp Banh Mi today, which I hadn't had in forever. Solid 7/10. My dad knows I'm obsessed with the Special Combo, so he shared some with me, and yep--still a 10/10, no question. Aunty also has a deal where if you buy five items, you get one free, so I went for the spring rolls. They were pretty simple--just shrimp, carrots, and noodles--good but nothing crazy. 6/10. Now, back to the sandwiches! My friends gave the Chicken and BBQ Pork both an 8/10. The bread was soft, the meat and veggies were balanced just right, and overall, it was just chef's kiss. Honestly, I love banh mi so much. If you haven't been here yet, you're seriously missing out. Pull up!! Until next time :)

So far I have had the pho twice, the rice cubes, and the shaking beef. Everything tasted great. Big parking lot for free parking. It is amazing how similar my visits have been. I think their dishes although prepared authentically are underwhelming in terms of the depths in flavor and really the soul of Vietnamese food. I'm not an expert but I've eaten my fair share of Vietnamese food for a standard issue white girl. The pork patty was dry and likely made at the beginning of the week and just reheated as the week went on. It was pretty bland and had this rubbery overly bouncy consistency and literally snapped when I bit into it. It basically got lost amongst all the fresh herbs too. As you can tell from the photo the Bánh bột chiên was burnt and it ended up being burnt on both sides. The squares were cut too thick...and because they were cut too thick they were on the mushy side even after being overly pan fried. All of the veg was fresh and well cleaned, the rice noodles were not overly sticky and clumped together. The pickled carrot/daikon were tasty. The server I had was attentive and polite. The interior was as to be expected and I couldn't care less that it's a little rough around the edges. If the tile isn't cracked, if the booth's vinyl isn't taped up, the utensils aren't mismatched and the tables aren't wobbly then I don't trust the place!! Like I said-I don't dislike it here. I just don't see the hype. Then again I feel like I have to piece together my favorite dishes from several spots between Doraville/Chamblee and Duluth, so maybe it's because I haven't found one place that checks all the boxes and I can get all my favs from one place. I will come again...because I love Bánh hỏi.

It's huge inside and always busy, but somehow we've never had to wait which is amazing when hunger strikes fast! The prices are a breath of fresh air too. A generous bowl of pho for $13.99 when so many newer spots are charging $17.99+? Yes please! And the flavor has never once let us down, it's warm, rich broth that tastes like comfort in a bowl. We usually order the shrimp spring rolls, but recently tried the grilled chicken spring rolls and WOW...a new favorite. If you only eat halal, they also offer seafood pho which is such a thoughtful and helpful option! It's close to home, consistently delicious, friendly service, and open late honestly everything we need in a neighborhood spot. We always leave full, happy, and already talking about our next visit.

I've been a loyal customer of New Super Pho for a long time. My family and I (brothers, children,…read morenieces, nephews, in-laws) dine in regularly, and I always leave a generous tip--often $25+--because the food has consistently been good and the staff has usually been great. Unfortunately, tonight was extremely disappointing and unacceptable. We arrived almost two hours before closing, and the restaurant was not busy. Despite that, our food came out very late, with half of it being served when we were already preparing to leave. It was also my husband's birthday, and since we run a business ourselves, it's hard for us to plan outings--so this was meant to be a simple, enjoyable dinner. I ordered a chocolate cake, which arrived completely frozen. I let it sit for 15-20 minutes, and it was still rock solid, so I had to send it back. On top of that, as we were leaving, we were still waiting on spring rolls and a chicken baguette. It also took a long time just to get the check so we could leave. The most upsetting part: As we were walking out, an older gentleman and our usual server stopped us and asked for a tip. My husband explained that we weren't leaving a tip because the service was poor and extremely slow--specifically mentioning that the younger server never came to our table until around 2:05 AM. Instead of handling this professionally, the server became angry, started kicking us out, and even called us "cheap." We have never been confronted like this before. Business owner to business owner, I would NEVER speak to a customer this way. If service isn't up to standard, getting upset at customers for not tipping is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. The food is still good, and I've always recommended this place to others--but treating loyal customers this way is ridiculous and avoidable. Did they lose a customer? Yes. Will I miss coming here? Yes. Could this have been handled better? Absolutely.
