I've started coming here when it first opened up back in 2010 when I was a high school senior. Fast-forward 15 years later, and it's still as good as ever! I stopped coming between 2014 till now because I moved out from this town and have tried other places nearby. But today I was craving com tam and I remembered this place is still around so I came back here to eat it. My #58 dish dish was delicious. It has sausage, pork, and a side of sunny-side up egg. The rest of my party ordered bun bo hue, which is good and flavorful. Another one ordered the com tam bi cha suon and tasted great. There's plenty of parking here. Shared in a plaza with an acupuncture and dentist office, and other offices around. Service was quick and attentive. Typical of any Vietnamese restaurants.

Saturday January 13th 2024 7:30PM Parking: not a problem. Service: Nice people but they don't speak much English and it would definitely help to bring someone that speaks Vietnamese. Once you're inside you will be greeted and seated right away. The place is clean and music videos from the one tv in the back is very loud. There are forks, chopsticks, a napkin dispenser and spoons along side with condiments at the table. Our server did his best to understand what we wanted to order and brought it out quickly. Restrooms are in the back side near the tv. "Phõod" here is good and comes out piping hot! I like both hot of the hot sauces here[they aren't the best but pretty good]. The cost for phõ is about $15 plus tax. The whole menu seems a bit pricy but it's worth coming since you don't have to wait long for service and food & don't forget that the food comes out pleasantly hot. Definitely will come back since it's kind of hidden away from other spots that can get bus

We enjoyed everything! Not sure when this promotion happens but we had a choice of free lemonade or ice tea. Overall, price is still so reasonable and food is good! Service is fast and employees are nice.

Bun Cha Ha Noi

This Vietnamese restaurant serves most of Vietnamese authentic foods. Especially, cơm tấm Gà Nướng, Chả. The lady owner is also friendly, nice. This time, I ordered Bun Cha Ha Noi. I love it! It so delicious and big portion for 1 people.

Compared to golden deli (which is popular for com tam) this place was so much better! Portions and serving was great for the price. We two difference rice plates and a noodle soup. I don't eat pork so the owner (or manager) offered me a beef soup instead, she said to keep hydrated. So thoughtful. Inside is a typical Vietnamese place with old school decor. But everyone is veryi nice.

20.99 Com Tam Plate w/ Porkchop

I wanted to try another Vietnamese restaurant in the San Gabriel area besides King Com Tam, so my friend recommended me his childhood spot: Com Tam Ninh Kieu. I ordered the special plate for 20.99, which gives your choice of meat: beef, ribs, or porkchop. I decided to choose the porkchop, and the food came out in less than 5 minutes :). The service was super attentive and excellent here, and they give complimentary hot ox tail soup as well. The portion sizes are huge and are enough to find 3-4 people solely, and their ingredients of the pork skin are flavorful and plentiful. The porkchop had a nice sauce to it, and the addition of fish sauce and chili oil really complimented the dish. My total came out to be about $24.00, which was very reasonable. Note: They don't accept Apple Pay, so make sure you have card or cash ready. Highly recommend for Vietnamese lovers in the area!

I ordered Bún Bò Huế Đặc Biệt Xe Lửa XL and Bánh Hỏi Đặc Biệt. The owner and staff are very professional and the food is delicious. I will come back again next time. Thank you.

Fast service, delicious food with great value. One of my go tos for broken rice! I think it may be cash only so just make sure to have some handy :)

I usually enjoy mom and pop Asian restaurants and tried this place for dinner. Was sorely disappointed with quality of both the pho and Vietnamese coffee. The Vietnamese coffee with condensed was just served in a styrofoam cup and not in the drip cup that is usually served and the restaurant had the audacity to charge $5 for that crap. Pho barely had any noodles and only 3 pieces of meat. I do not recommend this place at all.

Time to eat!

Going strictly on memory, this is the type of restaurant I want to re-visit again and again. First of all not to worry the staff speaks enough english to make ordering and asking questions easy. We had pho, egg rolls and spring rolls and some com tam (broken rice dish) The restaurant was so clean and looks like it was recently remodeled. The menu also has so many options to chose from and the prices are actually very reasonable compared to some other places. The menu does say prices are 1 dollar more than what is printed on the menu.

There's lots of competition in the 626 area for the best broken rice. I wouldn't say this is the best, but it's made fresh and hot. What do I mean by that? Well in the past, I've gone to a few Com Tam spots and a big turn off is when your food comes out at room temp. How hard is it to make hot food for your customers? Well Com Tam Ninh Kieu offer that beautiful balance of good flavors and every item is piping hot. Meat wasn't sitting under the hot lamp and the egg rolls are fresh off the fryer. I've never gotten a bad meal here. Also, if you want your coffee fix. Do try their strong iced coffee. Hopefully you can sleep after that drink.

Food was gross. And the place was dirty. My food tasted spoiled and the eggrolls were undercooked. Should've stuck to golden deli.

I've been here for a good handful of times now, and just wanted to say the food and the staffs are…read morereally amazing. Been wanting to write a review about it. This plaza has gotten a lot more popular in the recent few years, which made the parking lot very challenging, given how small the parking lot. But worth it for visiting an excellent authentic Vietnamese restaurant such as this establishment. The restaurant itself is cozy. A lot of open ventilations. Floor to ceiling glass window for wall that opens up for air and breeze, which honestly makes dining in quite more enjoyable. Something I don't know how many people realize. It's busy enough to be lively, but not too crazy enough for a long wait. At least not personally every time. Hats off to the chef, owner, and the staffs for making this business fun and enjoyable. I don't know the name of the owner, who I believe goes around and checks on the customers every time I visit. Also, another staff, Marie, who always serves my friends and I, is one amazing person! Very engaging and fun to interact with! One of the best employee (sorry if you are actually one of the managers) I ever met. I actually don't need to say anything much about the food because everything I've tried was great! You can't go wrong with anything at this place. Around San Gabriel or even the greater area, this place has been my top favorite Vietnamese restaurant in the recent years, and counting!

The broth is perfectly seasoned and really ties the whole bowl together. I always ask to skip the blood cubes and opt for extra pig's feet instead, which they handle perfectly. The ratio of tender meat to fresh vegetables balances the noodles beautifully, and the satay is an absolute must-add to hit that savory umami flavor profile. All in all, I have no complaints. It's an incredibly satisfying meal, especially after a long night out with friends.

Pretty Trang tasty. Get it?!…read more Today, I stopped by for a Bon Rieu, Nem Cuom, and a House Special iced tea. Service: Service was short and the entire wait took 5 minutes. That's right, 5 minutes. Although I did go around 9:50AM so there wasn't a line nor another party in the dining area. Food: I woke up craving Vietnamese and this place didn't disappoint. The Bon Rieu had the depth of flavor that I crave. Honestly, I judge most Vietnamese pho restaurants by their Bon Rieu because some places simply use seafood powder in their stock to fake it. What results is a very thinly flavored broth that has very little umami. Bon Rieu should have THE MOST umami of any soup dish because of its tomato and crab base. That's how you can tell if a place is cutting corners. The Nem Cuom is huge and the dipping sauce is generous. The House Special Tea is reminiscent of a passion fruit green tea from a boba place. Sweetened just enough to not be saccharine. Ambiance: Quite small. I believe one of their main issues may be parking during peak hours as it shares a tiny parking lot with many other businesses. HOWEVER, neighborhood parking is plentiful and just around the corner past the Sheridan Hotel and Starbucks. Round the corner and you'll find plenty of parking throughout the day.

The Braised Fish did not come with steam rice, so we had to order the steam rice. For the drinks, we had the Peach Oolong Iced Tea and the 3-Colored Dessert. The Bún Bò Huế was very good. The Braised Fish was a little salty but still tasted good. The Peach Oolong Iced Tea was refreshing. The 3-Colored Dessert was very yummy. I enjoyed the sweet taste of it. This soup is so pungent that the only time I get to savor it is at home and the stink doesn't leave your home for a few days. So, it is to my delight that they offer it here during the weekdays. It is a nicely stacked bowl that has everything but the kitchen sink in it - roast pork belly, catfish, squid, eggplant, and stuffed jalapeno with fried fish cake. Very filling and reasonably priced! The only reason I gave this place a 4 instead of 5 rating is because you can only order certain items from the menu when they open. I wanted to get some Chinese food to-go for my husband, but was told by the server that the other items were only available beginning at 10 am, which is odd to me.

Bun Rieu is a rice noodle soup that is flavored with tomatoes, shrimp paste, fish sauce and a meat broth (usually pork). The meatballs in this dish is typically made with crab, egg and usually pork.
