Banh Mi Che Cali has been a solid spot for me ever since they opened but unfortunately, they've downgraded so much ever since, it's a bit disappointing. My partner and I visited to grab some party items, 50 egg rolls, some banh mi, and prepackaged banh cuon. My first ripe is that the party tray of 50 egg rolls was not secure at all. They had it in a standard party aluminum tray but there was no cover. They just placed it in a brown paper bag and stapled it. Not very sanitary in my opinion plus the possibility of egg rolls falling out of the tray. I used to get their milk teas quite a bit because it was cheap and its BOGO. For tea quality, it's pretty basic and sometimes very watery. Boba is always hard and not very easy to chew, but for the price, that's the quality that you're getting. I've also dined here plenty with family, their Phos are pretty standard and are worth a look, sometimes the broth is a bit salty so it varies from time to time. My favorite item to get here is their prepackaged banh cuon, it's easy to eat and it's pretty tasty, by far their best menu item in my opinion over the years of visiting. Highly recommended to have a quick bite if I need a quick meal here but I personally wouldn't dine here anymore. I've been here a few times, although I usually visit other locations. What I like about this location is that they offer daily specials and the wait to get your order is usually much shorter. At another location I go to, I've had to wait over 25 minutes, so I really appreciate how quickly they get the food out here. There's also a good-sized parking lot in the back, which makes visiting much more convenient. They have outdoor seating available and I like that they offer other baked goods and special deals as well. Overall, it's a convenient location with fast service and plenty of options. read more

This was my first time coming to this location, so this review is solely based on my experience for the Super Bowl weekend. My partner, I came here thinking that it wouldn't be so packed, but it was packed packed. I'm giving them five stars because I was really impressed with how they handled the chaos. They had so many catering orders. And none of them were small. And I mean, eggrolls on top of eggrolls, and sandwiches in front of top of sandwiches. It was pretty crazy. My friend treated us to some Thai teas and banh mis, and they weren't very good. This place seems to be on the lower end when it comes to the quality of food and drinks. My boyfriend and I had to do a walk through over all the food before we could make a decision. Out go-to is the Ham and Meatloaf Bánh Mì with everything in it - pickled veggies, cilantro, jalapenos, in that great baguette. All the sandwiches are BUY 2 GET 1 FREE. There isn't much vegetables in the sandwich. I felt there should be more cilantro and I think there used to be cucumbers and more jalapeños. We also bought the Chicken Meat Pies and the Pork Meat Pies. It was so good. The pastry is super flaky and I loved it. The meat isn't minced. It's a solid sliced sausage that they put in the pie. This is my go to fast food Vietnamese joint. It's great because they have sales for some of the items depending on the day of the week. My all time favorite is the banh cuon which original price is $7.50 but on Mondays it is $4.50. I also get their banh mi but I will say that their bread ratio is greater than their meat ratio.
