Of all the cơm tấm places in the land, this one is my favorite. I recently dinnered here and accidentally ordered one of the massive combos. I shared the #2. For $19.99, you get 7 protein choices. 7! My order came with Julienne pork, steamed egg cake, Chinese sausage, sausage roll, tofu shrimp cake, grilled shrimp, and grilled pork. All over a bed of rice with some cucumbers + pickled veggies. Value wise, you get a lot of variety and food. I absolutely love the tàu hũ ky here. It's the best. It's meaty and has the crispiest tofu skin. When you order a regular entree, you get 2 pieces! Incredible. I just think the cơm tấm here is top tier. Each individual component of the dish is solid. Any combination of things will leave you satisfied. Cơm tấm Thuan Kieu is great for first timers, second timers, or old timers.

Delicious Bánh khọt + coco sauce

Been going to this place for decades. My family comes here for their infamous broken rice combo every time. (Tip!! always get the combo instead of the entree bc you get more bang out of your buck.) But today we were adventurous and tried their "banh khot" bánh khọt. 7 piece Bánh khọt review: Yall be sleeping out on the bánh khọt here! It tastes amazing. Krispy thin yellow pancakes. The khọts are 3.5 inches long in diameter. A bit of meat, 3 shrimps, served with a bowl of salad, pickled carrots/radishes, fish sauce, and coconut sauce. This is a must try here! The best bánh khọt I've ever had.

Don't get intimated by how empty the restaurant is lol! The portions are ginormous for $25-$30, you can split between 2 people. Everything is pretty good, even though the shrimp cake could be crispier. But this is def top 3 for com tam in garden grove for me.

Food is average, but portion size is reasonable. Not a lot of choices as it is mostly chicken. Customer service is non existent. There are better com tam places in the area.

One of my favorite places for Vietnamese broken rice dishes! The menu has a large variety. You can make your broken rice plate customizable with the type of meats and sides. The staff is very friendly and you'll be seated right away if you decide to dine in. Plenty of seating and it's always clean. There's an option for take out as well. The prices are very reasonable for their quality and big portions. I would highly recommend. You won't be disappointed!

"I've been a regular here for over 10 years. The marinade is a bit different from Westminster, and the meats and veggies were a little less flavorful, in my opinion." But the service here is a little bit nicer than Westminster!

Came in and was sat immediately. The service was very fast- we already knew what we wanted so we ordered off bat and our food took only 5 minutes! This is definitely my favorite com tam place, the shrimp paste wrapped in beancurd is perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.

I come here often to get their egg cake to go. It's the best quality and quantity for the price compare to other com tam places.

This is a good place if you're craving com tam. I used to come here as a kid. The food is good and comes out quick. If you love com tam, then this is the place to get it! Lots of parking in the plaza!

My husband came here by himself on a Saturday afternoon and dined in. He got the com tam 10 mon ($20.65) which he said was phenomenal. The portion size was also really big so he had food coma afterwards. We recently stopped by on a Friday afternoon and ordered banh hoi 10 mon ($30.44) to-go and drove 1 hour home before we got to eat it. The food was surprisingly still warm enough to eat but the egg roll was soggy. The banh hoi cost $10 more which was not worth it since it didn't taste super fresh or hand-made. My husband said the portion size was smaller too. They didn't give enough nuoc mam so we added our own. However, they did give a good amount of veggies though. The meat, fish, & shrimp were good but my favorite was the egg cake. The eggroll and Nem Nuong log were just okay. Lesson Learned: Only dine in at this restaurant.

Just happened to drive by the strip mall where this place resides. Only a few other patrons so there were plenty of tables available. Took a look at their extensive menu and decided on their 10 item plate. It was overkill for me as I couldn't finish it all. Items were decent and I definitely enjoyed the variety. Loved the soup, which helped break up my meat overload. Would consider coming back again.

First time here, I really like the egg cake and tofu skin, the rice was really good, service is great

Hands down best Com Tam I've ever had! This was my first real time trying this place/ having com tam, it was AMAZING. I loved the ability to choose different items, along with the pickled veggies, sauce and soup for variety! Everything tasted sooo good and the items came out glistening and so beautiful highly recommend! Servers are super sweet too, I love sitting next to the window seeing cars pass when I eat as well :-) 10/10 stars!

Filet Mignon was cooked perfectly, we ordered it medium. Chifa Fried Rice (with Filet Mignon)- fried rice had plenty of wok heat aroma. Next time if we ordered both the fried rice and saltado fries, we might opt for a different protein rather than both being Filet Mignon. Garlic Butter Prawns -shrimp had the perfect snap and cooked perfectly. Sauce paired well with the rice, rich and decadent. Rib Bone Soup -sooo good! Beef ribs were fall off the bone tender. Soup was clear but flavorful which helped wash down the rest of our meal. If you love glass noodles, you have to give this a go.

The inside area is a bit cramped and doesn't really have a good ambiance. The service at Kei concept restaurants is pretty solid, the workers are very nice and considerate. My favorite dishes are the Asian pear salad and the Lomo saltado fries with filet mignon. I really recommend the pear salad because the arugula, burrata, the dressing with the Korean pear is so refreshing. One downside is that they're a bit too pricey now so I don't go as much as I did before.

She put on the family calendar dinner for a Sunday night at 6:30 PM. She forgot to make a reservation through Open Table. Knowing that the restaurant sometimes has tables for walk ins, we took a chance that there would be a table and went to the restaurant. When she checked in with the host, he said that the wait would be 20-30 minutes. There was a table of 4 just finishing up. Other parties checked in for their dinner reservations. The wait was less than 20 minutes. It was our daughters' first time at the restaurant. Older daughter had a blackberry lavender. She gave me a sip. I'll need to order one for myself next time. I liked the flavor. Older daughter also ordered a small plate cauliflower and spaghetti and meatballs. Besides the Miso Glazed Black Cod, we also ordered the Pork Tomahawk, and the Seafood Mafaldine. All the food was excellent. The cauliflower was unique in its preparation. The florets were dipped in tempura batter and fried, dressed with ginger miso, had a savory umami flavor, and sprinkled with Parmesan cheese. The miso glazed black cod lived up to expectation. It was accompanied by soba noodles in a mushroom broth and topped with frisée. The pork tomahawk was huge at 24 oz. The sweet potato puree was silky. We asked the server to pack the bone and other pieces of meat that we couldn't finish so that we could continue to enjoy it at home. There was plenty of seafood: scallops, crab, and shrimp with the house-made mafaldine. Daughters enjoyed their first visit to Ini. We loved bringing them with us this time and having dinner together as a family.

I'm a bit late getting around to writing this, and unfortunately, they are already closed, but I still felt like I had to share my experience. I'm not completely surprised that they closed, especially after trying their bò né. I've had this dish many times at different places around Orange County, and unfortunately, this was probably the weakest version I've come across. The first thing that stood out was the presentation. As you can see in the picture, there was this purple-colored sauce on the meat itself, which honestly did not look very appetizing. To make things worse, the sauce was cold and did not heat in time with the skillet, which really took away from the experience. The flavor itself wasn't terrible, but it also wasn't anything memorable. It was just okay, and when you factor in the cold food and the presentation, it made the whole dish disappointing. With so many places around Orange County serving bò né at a much higher level, I would probably recommend spending your money elsewhere. If you were wondering whether you missed out on some hidden gem, don't worry, you didn't. This one felt more like a piece of coal than a diamond. That being said, every restaurant has its journey, and with more time, maybe they could have found their footing. Hopefully, they can take this experience as a lesson, refine their recipes, and bring something better in their next venture. I am rooting for you Loi!
