This is located in the corner of a plaza and it is away from all the touristy/crowds of the weekend. I ordered the Bo Kho with noodles and it's was very good! Not too salty and very flavorful. I would highly recommend it! I have also tried their traditional hu thieu which is also very good especially if you are looking for something with clear broth. They also have pickled garlic and jalepeno which is a great addition! I don't think you can go wrong with any dish here. Note- there is a 4% additional charge if you use credit card so bring cash if you want to avoid that charge! 10/10 would recommend and come back again.

Order the hu tieu my tho, clear chewy noddle. It comes with the tomato ish sauce with cooked or raw bean sprout . Service was quick, food came out about 10 mins after. My son and I are in search of the perfect hu tieu bowl. He rank this one as number 2.

The banh canh was tasty but leaned a little sweeter than I usually prefer. The hủ tiếu my tho had a strong tomato-forward flavor -- great if you're into that profile, but it might be overwhelming if not. The banh beo and cha hue was solid overall, fresh and satisfying. Service was friendly and the ambiance and music had a nostalgic viet restaurant vibe.

Came here with my parents, and we ordered the 2 bowls of the hu tieu nam vang and 1 order of banh beo chen. Both items were delicious! I do think the price for the hu tieu nam vang was a bit steep since the portion was small in my opinion. Would also like to note that the older gentleman who took our order was so sweet! Great customer service. Overall, would visit again!

    * Delicious, flavorful broth: The soup is rich and naturally sweet from pork bones -- no overwhelming MSG taste. Very authentic Southern Vietnamese style. * Fresh and well-prepared toppings: Shrimp, pork, quail eggs, and liver are all clean and nicely cooked. * Friendly and fast service: Staff are polite, efficient, and the food comes out quickly even during busy hours. * Clean and cozy space: The restaurant is simple but neat and welcoming -- perfect for a family meal.

Came here for lunch with my daughter, the soup and dry noodles bowls is very delicious. 10 out of 10 everytime I come it's always been good no complaint. Service here is excellent, friendly, nice. Ambience here , it has alot of tables and you can come as a group. They played soft music relaxation. Highly recommend and i wouldn't go any where else. If you like rice noodles dry, their sauce on the side to put on the noodles are amazing taste. Pls come and try this place out if you haven't been here.

I like it when a restaurant focuses on their specialties, and this is one where their smaller menu is all hits. My favorite is the hu tieu my tho - though this time the red sauce wasn't as thick and flavorful as past years, and had less toppings, perhaps due to less ingredients on the day. Been coming here for years - it's a classic in my family for events and Christmas or New Years. Though having a small staff and it can get busy, they are thoughtful to you and your food wants, treating you like family. Overall, the most homey restaurant in all of OC.

Had the clear glass noodles, dry style (broth & sauce on the side). It's the #2 on the menu. It was good. I requested lean meat, no fat, and they followed instructions! Only thing was missing was the ground pork. I believe the real authentic dish comes with everything they serve here, plus the ground pork.

I got the #1 My Tho Noodles. You can get it with the clear chewy noodles or the white soft noodles or half and half. I always get the #1 dry with the chewy noodles. Sauce and soup is given on the side. My never-fail order. This dish is a one of a kind and I only get this dish from this restaurant because I don't see this noodle dish with this specific sauce anywhere else! It's pretty rare. It's a tomato base sauce that's tangy, savory, and delectable. They give you so much meat toppings and plumped shrimps. No complaints other then they need to put some kind of music on so we don't hear people slurping on their noods. Service is straight forward. You tell them what you want and it comes out. If you need anything you just give them a call. First, I pour the sauce on top then add in the crown daisy veggies and bean sprouts, squeeze that lime in, add picked jalapeños and garlic from the table condiment jar and enjoy the side soup on the side with some black pepper. 10/10

Phuong's is famous for its Hủ tiếu, a dish usually eaten for breakfast and served with a small bowl of broth on the side. It is your choice to eat as a soup or as a dry noodle dish without the broth but with the garnishments which include bean sprouts and a bed of chrysanthemum leaves along with a tomato-based sauce. I ordered the Hủ Tiếu Mỹ Tho (Vietnamese pork and seafood noodle soup), $13, which is the first listed on its menu. The version prepared here includes sliced pork, pork pate, prawns, and quail eggs, topped with some Mắm tôm chua - a fermented shrimp and papaya paste or sauce. You can order this dish with either rice noodles or egg noodles. The broth had a subtle, smoothing umami flavor to it. The rice noodles (my choice) were perfectly cooked (chewy and nicely stuck together but falls apart once it is covered with broth). The tomato sauce was slightly sweet and not too tangy. The pickled garlic and jalapeno condiment was also brought to add to the dish. Next time, I may just opt to eat the noodles dry with a little bit of tomato sauce on them. Or maybe enjoy half of them in the broth with the chrysanthemum leaves and bean sprouts. Adding all the ingredients into the bowl makes this simply prepared dish too complex to really enjoy in my opinion. A solid noodle dish, not completely different in style and preparation from popular Cambodian noodles dishes like the Phnom Penh Noodle. The Hủ tiếu did not 'wow' me like the first time I tried Phở, Bún bò Huế, or Bún riêu, but I would welcome another opportunity to try another one of their Hủ Tiếu dishes again.

We also ordered the pork cutlet on the side, and honestly, the portion was massive for like a quick lunch. Crispy, filling, and definitely enough to take leftovers home! The banchan was simple but solid too, especially the big slices of cucumber and daikon, along with pieces of pancake on the side. I've been once…read morebefore, but I'm still very much in the "watch the people next to me and copy their homework" phase of the experience. The meal starts with what feels like an endless lineup of little side dishes, a fried fish, rice in a scorching hot stone bowl, and then the bubbling tofu soup (medium spice for me) arrives like it's angry at the table. I ordered the bulgogi combo (C2) and everything was flavorful, comforting, and honestly just fun to eat. OK maybe a few too many onions for me. The stone pot rice situation was an adventure on its own. They ask you if you want them to pour hot water into the bowl to loosen the crispy rice stuck to the sides. I tried it. Felt very authentic. Still not fully convinced my rookie self handled it correctly, but we survived. What I liked most was the atmosphere and adventure. You can tell this place has a loyal following and there's a reason Yelp absolutely loves it. It feels authentic without being intimidating, and the portions are no joke. I took home enough leftovers for round two the next day. If you've only done Korean BBQ before, this is a completely different experience and definitely worth trying. Bring friends, come hungry, and don't be afraid to look a little confused your first time. Apparently that's part of the experience. Easy 5 stars for me. P. S. Quick shout out to the wait staff they are super attentive, smiling, and helpful. Maybe they could sense my menu awkwardness

I think I had wished for some sauce to go with the noodles (but I understand its mostly with the soup on the side), good tightness of the meatballs :D... They have the classic condiments on the side, the pickled garlic isn't very crunchy and kind of on the sweet side, the pickled chili does have that slight acidic kick that works well.
