There were 5 appetizers on the sampler plate to try - the lotus salad was my favorite, the egg roll was a bit over-fried, and while the shrimp tempura looked delicious, it was a bit too doughy for me. Nice selections, but probably wouldn't need to get it a second time. I feel like it's hard to find Bún Đậu Mắm Tôm at restaurants, but they did it pretty well and I liked the fried fishballs they had as I've never had that before. While the Hủ Tiếu Nam Vang came in a decent sized bowl, we would've liked more protein/toppings as there was a bit too much noodles. As we were checking out, they did have fried shrimp chips on the counter they were selling in addition to fried bananas with black sesame seeds sprinkled on top (2 for $5). We brought some fried bananas to take home and wow, that was probably the highlight for the restaurant. Would come back alone for these!!

Overall the food is decent but I can get good soup at plenty of other places and not be lied to and robbed by their staff.

During my 1-hr lunch, I decided to give CTTK a try. I ordered their "com tam bi cha suong", which is broken rice with pork chop and other stuff which I can't translate to english (sorry). I like the fact that the meal come with a small bowl of soup broth, which is common but I was delighted to find a piece of pork meat with chewy tendon in the soup. The soup was just perfect for me. Not too salty or bland. The broken rice was kind of dry, but once you pour the fish sauce on, it's good. The pork chop look very appealing along with the cucumber and pickled vegetable. Although it would be perfect if they put some cut tomatoes on my rice. I haven't had "com tam" for a while so not sure what the average price for the dish would be. I look at their price, it can range from 6.99 to 7.99 depending on you want with your broken rice. As for the place, it is very new and I like the ikea dim light setting and the loud vietnamese songs that they are playing, which is good so you don't have to listen to what the other table is talking about. My go to place for Vietnamese dishes! It's been awhile oh how I miss this place. Yes I have noticed the price have gone up. It's called inflation everyone! Prices goes up every where. Gas, food, theme parks etc! Look if anyone has any kind of common sense they shouldn't be complaining about price increases. In order for mom and pop shops to survive they have to increase prices to pay the employees. There inventory price most likely have gone up as well. No business would survive without making changes. Apologies for the rant but I think it's a little unfair to give a business a negative review based on a price increase especially with how the economy has been all over and staff shortages. Overall the quality of the food and service has not changed one bit. I will continue to support the business and I understand why businesses raise prices. Love the food guys keep it up read more

Food: Definitely my go to spot for some Vietnamese comfort food. I love ordering the kbbq short ribs, tau hu ky, and pork egg roll combo! Most of the other dishes I've had here are great too and the portions are solid. They offer fresh young coconuts and a variety of refreshing Vietnamese desserts as well. Service: The waiter named Phu is always top notch and fast and reminds me of an Asian version of Geoffrey from Fresh Prince of Bel Air. The cashier, I believe his name is James, is quite a character. It seems like he has no friends so he always tries to make small talk with me. I definitely don't mind it though and suggested on a few occasions if he combs his hair and freshens up a bit and he would have no problem making friends. This restaurant has got to be my favorite inside the Mekong plaza. Their menu has a variety of rice, soup, and vermicelli dishes but this restaurant is rice heaven! Their number 1 on the broken rice dish is huge! It comes with 10 different types of meats over rice and is big enough for two people to share. I have yet to try their rice noodle soup but I have had most of all their appetizers. I would recommend the yellow pancake called banh xeo and their fresh spring rolls. As for service, the service was good. My water cup was filled and the servers were never rude. I haven't experienced any negativity as some of the reviews below have experienced. Pleasant Surprise as I waited for a ride. I wasn't expecting such incredible food from this little…read morehole in the wall gem. I'm so glad I stopped by. There was no other customers in there which is perfect for me. Probably not ideal for them. Give this place a try.
