Combo house located inside the Hannam Chain supermarket in Walnut. The food here is fantastic; I particularly enjoy the King Dumplings, Spicy Seafood Noodle Soup, and Sweet and Soul Fried Pork. Good food at a good price. This will be my favorite place to go to when I'm in the area.

My third time here. I came with my hubby and son while in town. We got the sweet and sour fried pork and the Seafood noodle soup. We ate everything as usual. It is one of our go to places to eat when we are in town. This place is located inside a Korean supermarket. Your order comes with kimchi and yellow pickles. There is also a water dispenser that you can help yourself with a cup of water. If you want some authentic Korean food, this place counts.

Love the mandoo here. I get some fried and some not cooked to make some Korean dumpling soup. Today I sat and ordered some black bean noodles. Kimchee was good here. Price well.

This is cute little good spot, quick service and delicious food! Located in the Hannan market on the left side. Gives you the feel like you're in Korea! A team of 3 hard working people! Price is right, and the portions are HUGE! The king dumpling is filled with so much meat that it's almost equivalent to 3 dumplings into one!

Don't skip this only wall sleeper, mom and pop shop. The food is authentic and feels like Home definitely gotta try if you're stopping by to supercharger your car. We're picking up some groceries. We're on the way home from Disneyland so happy to find this place. We will be back again.

The char and broth is so flavorful. I have tried all the jjampong places I can find and even frozen ones but this place is incredible‼‼ I ordered it to go and the packaging of everything was very clean.

Today I'm giving review on Mongolian beef rice! The beef is cooked to perfection, the rice is plentiful, and sidings combine perfectly! The service is excellent, from cooks to busboy

A unique homely restaurant hidden in Hannam market. Very clean 3 person team serving even tastier food. You get to watch them prepare your orders right in front of you. Loved watching the way the team bantered with regulars. Jajangmyun (5/5) - smokey Tangsuyuk (4/5) - a bit tough but huge portion It's a local's stop so enjoy respectfully :)

This place is located inside of the Korean market. The parking lot is huge so parking is not an issue. They do go on lunch break from 3:30-4:30 (I believe). You place your order at their front counter first then basically sit anywhere that's opened. With the two dishes we ordered, they gave the yellow pickled radish and kimchi as side dishes. You can also ask for more too. Both dishes are definitely shareable if you are not starving. Champong Seafood Noodles- The flavor to this soup was great and it had the right amount of spiciness to it. They were generous with the meat and also the mussels. Overall, it had a blend of mussels, squid, onion, lettuce and squash. So if you enjoy spicy, this is it! Jajangmyeon- Black bean noodles- These noodles also tasted flavorful with small pieces of meat (not too much) and lots of onion pieces. This was decent but nothing out of the ordinary. I definitely would come back again to try their dumplings! They looked huge.

Haven't come here for a while, but it reminds me the house made dishes from my parents, guess I will start come back here more often! Yummy yummy!!

I gotta give this place a great review. My family and I looove this place and have been coming here ever since I was little. Sure, sure some of the things here may not be the best quality, but it's freaking delicious! Plus the portion sizes are HUGE and relatively inexpensive compared to other places. If you're looking to support an Asian owned, local mom & pop shop this is the place to go! They are located inside the Korean market, Market World towards the left side of the building. They have a huge sign that says Combo House so you won't miss it. Everyone in my family loves their seafood noodle. It comes with a good amount of seafood and a huge portion of noodles and soup. However, my personal favorites are their jajangmyeon (black bean noodle), cold soba, and dumplings. If you come here, do not skip the dumplings! They're probably my favorite dumplings of all time. They're huge, juicy, and filled with flavor. Plus, if you like them so much you can bring home some frozen ones!

For skewers, we also ordered the squid, beef, and potato skewers which were all very tasty. Not alot of char but the meats were fairly tender. The golden pot was a pretty surprising hit at our table. The gold almost florescent broth has an interesting sour kick, almost like pickled veggies. Soup was a nice contrast to the meaty skewers and came with a variety of hot pot favorites like fish cake, imitation crab, napa cabbage, wood ear mushroom, vermicelli, and thinly sliced meat. Also when they see that you are running low on broth, they will pour some more in. This was especially helpful because they serve this over a fire which can evaporate alot of the soup. The restaurant itself is very nicely decorated, and was even packed on a Monday night. Had a great experience and the food felt very familiar!

Fortunately, they serve both. We both love siomai, duck, and crispy salted squid so we ordered the trio. The siomai was fresh. Tasted as if it was just off a lunch cart. It's delicious and the serving size is quite generous. The price is unbeatable too. We really enjoyed its balanced taste. Sometimes, siomai can be a bit bland but this was packed with flavor. The Peking Duck was great too. Reminded us of our time in Hong Kong. Less oily but still delicious. The buns were great too. We both enjoyed every bite. The sauce was excellent too. It had sweetness to it from the pineapple sauce. The salted crispy squid is balanced. Salty yet a bit sweet. It's definitely more of the indulgent side of things. Best paired with rice. We skip the carbs that night, but we'll definitely order this again paired with something else. The service here is great. Everyone is welcoming and helpful. It doesn't feel like rushed service. Ambiance here feels like your typical Chinese restaurant. It's clean and you can tell it has aged over time. You're here for the good food though, not the aesthetics. This is where Duck Palace really earns its name. The skin hits that ideal balance--lightly crisp with a slight lacquered sheen--while the meat underneath stays juicy and flavorful without being overly fatty. It's not trying to be trendy or reinvent anything; it's just done right. The seasoning leans traditional Cantonese--savory, slightly sweet, and aromatic without being heavy-handed. I did not try the supporting dishes, but they had a good variety outside the roast duck. This is where you can tell whether a place is a one-hit wonder or a true kitchen. They had BBQ combo plates, stir-fried dishes, and various sides. Service here is efficient, is part of the charm. You're coming for good food, done well. Best to call in to reserve a duck ahead of time because they will sell out by mid-afternoon. The space itself is clean and straightforward--more casual than upscale--but comfortable enough for both quick meals and relaxed family meals. What I appreciate most about Duck Palace is the consistency. The price is reasonable for what you are paying for and the duck combo meal is enough to feed 2-3 people. Pro tips: - Go earlier in the day if you want the freshest roast selections. - Takeout holds up surprisingly well (the duck skin still has some integrity if you don't let it sit too long). - Great option when you want authentic flavors without driving deeper into the valley. - Discount for paying in cash Bottom line: If you're in Diamond Bar and craving authentic Cantonese roast meats, Duck Palace is a reliable go-to. It may not be flashy, but it delivers where it counts--and sometimes, that's exactly what you want.

It was 79 degrees inside, muggy, humid, and completely uncomfortable. We almost turned around and left immediately. The place was practically empty, which honestly should have been our first red flag. We decided to give them a chance anyway. Big mistake. My colleague and I were offered water or hot tea. We both ordered hot tea. The menu clearly says in English that hot tea is $2.99. Nowhere does it clearly explain in English that you will be charged differently depending on how many people drink it. When the bill came, we were charged $5 each. Apparently, there is some clarification written in Chinese, but how are customers who do not read Chinese supposed to know that? That is completely misleading. The tea portions were not larger, not special, nothing different. Just basic tea. The pricing felt deceptive. We also ordered popcorn chicken and chili wonton soup. Both came out in tiny portions that looked like appetizers, yet the menu does not clearly label them as such. For what we received, paying over $30 total felt ridiculous. The food itself was mediocre at best. Nothing memorable and definitely not worth the price. Because of the uncomfortable temperature, confusing pricing, small portions, and average food, we chose not to leave a tip. As we were walking out, the waiter chased us outside and pressured us about the zero tip. That is completely inappropriate. Tipping is not mandatory. It is earned. Confronting customers outside over a tip is unprofessional and embarrassing. Between the heat, the questionable menu pricing, the small portions, and being confronted outside, this was one of the worst dining experiences I have had in a long time. We will never be back.
