Combo house located inside the Hannam Chain supermarket in Walnut. The food here is fantastic; I particularly enjoy the King Dumplings, Spicy Seafood Noodle Soup, and Sweet and Soul Fried Pork. Good food at a good price. This will be my favorite place to go to when I'm in the area.

My third time here. I came with my hubby and son while in town. We got the sweet and sour fried pork and the Seafood noodle soup. We ate everything as usual. It is one of our go to places to eat when we are in town. This place is located inside a Korean supermarket. Your order comes with kimchi and yellow pickles. There is also a water dispenser that you can help yourself with a cup of water. If you want some authentic Korean food, this place counts.

Love the mandoo here. I get some fried and some not cooked to make some Korean dumpling soup. Today I sat and ordered some black bean noodles. Kimchee was good here. Price well.

This is cute little good spot, quick service and delicious food! Located in the Hannan market on the left side. Gives you the feel like you're in Korea! A team of 3 hard working people! Price is right, and the portions are HUGE! The king dumpling is filled with so much meat that it's almost equivalent to 3 dumplings into one!

Don't skip this only wall sleeper, mom and pop shop. The food is authentic and feels like Home definitely gotta try if you're stopping by to supercharger your car. We're picking up some groceries. We're on the way home from Disneyland so happy to find this place. We will be back again.

The char and broth is so flavorful. I have tried all the jjampong places I can find and even frozen ones but this place is incredible‼‼ I ordered it to go and the packaging of everything was very clean.

Today I'm giving review on Mongolian beef rice! The beef is cooked to perfection, the rice is plentiful, and sidings combine perfectly! The service is excellent, from cooks to busboy

A unique homely restaurant hidden in Hannam market. Very clean 3 person team serving even tastier food. You get to watch them prepare your orders right in front of you. Loved watching the way the team bantered with regulars. Jajangmyun (5/5) - smokey Tangsuyuk (4/5) - a bit tough but huge portion It's a local's stop so enjoy respectfully :)

This place is located inside of the Korean market. The parking lot is huge so parking is not an issue. They do go on lunch break from 3:30-4:30 (I believe). You place your order at their front counter first then basically sit anywhere that's opened. With the two dishes we ordered, they gave the yellow pickled radish and kimchi as side dishes. You can also ask for more too. Both dishes are definitely shareable if you are not starving. Champong Seafood Noodles- The flavor to this soup was great and it had the right amount of spiciness to it. They were generous with the meat and also the mussels. Overall, it had a blend of mussels, squid, onion, lettuce and squash. So if you enjoy spicy, this is it! Jajangmyeon- Black bean noodles- These noodles also tasted flavorful with small pieces of meat (not too much) and lots of onion pieces. This was decent but nothing out of the ordinary. I definitely would come back again to try their dumplings! They looked huge.

Haven't come here for a while, but it reminds me the house made dishes from my parents, guess I will start come back here more often! Yummy yummy!!

I gotta give this place a great review. My family and I looove this place and have been coming here ever since I was little. Sure, sure some of the things here may not be the best quality, but it's freaking delicious! Plus the portion sizes are HUGE and relatively inexpensive compared to other places. If you're looking to support an Asian owned, local mom & pop shop this is the place to go! They are located inside the Korean market, Market World towards the left side of the building. They have a huge sign that says Combo House so you won't miss it. Everyone in my family loves their seafood noodle. It comes with a good amount of seafood and a huge portion of noodles and soup. However, my personal favorites are their jajangmyeon (black bean noodle), cold soba, and dumplings. If you come here, do not skip the dumplings! They're probably my favorite dumplings of all time. They're huge, juicy, and filled with flavor. Plus, if you like them so much you can bring home some frozen ones!

For skewers, we also ordered the squid, beef, and potato skewers which were all very tasty. Not alot of char but the meats were fairly tender. The golden pot was a pretty surprising hit at our table. The gold almost florescent broth has an interesting sour kick, almost like pickled veggies. Soup was a nice contrast to the meaty skewers and came with a variety of hot pot favorites like fish cake, imitation crab, napa cabbage, wood ear mushroom, vermicelli, and thinly sliced meat. Also when they see that you are running low on broth, they will pour some more in. This was especially helpful because they serve this over a fire which can evaporate alot of the soup. This location is tucked in a small plaza in Diamond Bar and has an old school interior reminding me of old Chinese dramas. We arrived right when they opened for lunch and were seated immediately. We ordered our food through the tablet which was quick and convenient. POPCORN CHICKEN ($13.99) - this was pricier than I'm used to but the portion size was also bigger. It was crispy and I couldn't tell if there was spice or not or if it was just lingering from the other dishes. 4/5 KUNG FU CORN ($7.59) - this was slightly spicy but it was not crunchy like I'd normally expect. It had a chewy texture which I wasn't the biggest fan of. 3/5 POTATO TORNADO ($5.59) - the potato was crispy and I liked the chili powder. 4/5 GRILLED SCALLOPS ($7.58 for 2) - this reminded me of dishes you'd see at Chinese banquets between the noodles and the flavor. The sauce was garlicky and this was one of our favorite things. 5/5 LAMB ($10.49) / PREMIUM MARBLED BEEF ($9.99) - these were good. 4/5 CHICKEN SKIN ($7.99) - these were crispy, sweet, and spicy. It reminded me of chicharron but sweet. I liked these, but just a note that they are not good as leftovers as they were hard and chewy. 3.5/5 PORK BELLY ($9.99) - some of the skewers had more fat than others which meant they also had less meat. The flavor was similar to the others though. 4/5 KING OYSTER MUSHROOM ($7.99) - these were really good! We loved the flavor of the sweet chili sauce that was different from the seasoning of all the other meats. This was definitely my favorite of the skewers. 5/5 Don't worry that some of the skewers come in large quantities because they're small portions. The food wasn't crazy spicy but it accumulated as we ate and it had a lingering spice throughout the meal. There's also a karaoke machine that adds to the lively vibe, especially on weekends. I can see this being a really fun place to go with a large group.

This is where Duck Palace really earns its name. The skin hits that ideal balance--lightly crisp with a slight lacquered sheen--while the meat underneath stays juicy and flavorful without being overly fatty. It's not trying to be trendy or reinvent anything; it's just done right. The seasoning leans traditional Cantonese--savory, slightly sweet, and aromatic without being heavy-handed. I did not try the supporting dishes, but they had a good variety outside the roast duck. This is where you can tell whether a place is a one-hit wonder or a true kitchen. They had BBQ combo plates, stir-fried dishes, and various sides. Service here is efficient, is part of the charm. You're coming for good food, done well. Best to call in to reserve a duck ahead of time because they will sell out by mid-afternoon. The space itself is clean and straightforward--more casual than upscale--but comfortable enough for both quick meals and relaxed family meals. What I appreciate most about Duck Palace is the consistency. The price is reasonable for what you are paying for and the duck combo meal is enough to feed 2-3 people. Pro tips: - Go earlier in the day if you want the freshest roast selections. - Takeout holds up surprisingly well (the duck skin still has some integrity if you don't let it sit too long). - Great option when you want authentic flavors without driving deeper into the valley. - Discount for paying in cash Bottom line: If you're in Diamond Bar and craving authentic Cantonese roast meats, Duck Palace is a reliable go-to. It may not be flashy, but it delivers where it counts--and sometimes, that's exactly what you want.

We both ordered hot tea. The menu clearly says in English that hot tea is $2.99. Nowhere does it clearly explain in English that you will be charged differently depending on how many people drink it. When the bill came, we were charged $5 each. Apparently, there is some clarification written in Chinese, but how are customers who do not read Chinese supposed to know that? That is completely misleading. The tea portions were not larger, not special, nothing different. Just basic tea. The pricing felt deceptive. We also ordered popcorn chicken and chili wonton soup. Both came out in tiny portions that looked like appetizers, yet the menu does not clearly label them as such. For what we received, paying over $30 total felt ridiculous. The food itself was mediocre at best. Nothing memorable and definitely not worth the price. Because of the uncomfortable temperature, confusing pricing, small portions, and average food, we chose not to leave a tip. As we were walking out, the waiter chased us outside and pressured us about the zero tip. That is completely inappropriate. Tipping is not mandatory. It is earned. Confronting customers outside over a tip is unprofessional and embarrassing. Between the heat, the questionable menu pricing, the small portions, and being confronted outside, this was one of the worst dining experiences I have had in a long time. We will never be back. There are plenty of better places within the same plaza than to dine here. I don't expect this place to last long anyway.

Stopped by for dinner and tried the 8 piece pan fried fish dumplings with coriander and the…read morescallion pancakes ($8.95). The price point felt very fair, especially with the dumplings coming in at $14.85. Ambiance was casual and clean, jazz music with nice wall art. The food was good, the scallion pancakes were perfect for splitting between us. I also really appreciated the balanced portion control; it felt like just the right amount of food without being overwhelming. We were only ones in the restaurant near end of business on a Sunday night. Service speed was expected as cook to order. Definitely a good spot if you're looking for a simple and reasonable meal in Walnut or near Mt. San Antonio College. FYI photos are of the wall art, food was devoured.
