As a regular family who has frequented this establishment for years, we are incredibly disappointed with the lack of accountability and poor service we recently experienced. We placed a phone order, specifically confirming each item, yet upon returning home, realized items were missing from our bag. When we called to request a refund for the missing items--given that our food would be cold by the time we could drive back to retrieve them--the night manager refused stating it's their policy and that she didn't make the policy. It is unacceptable that the burden of the restaurant's mistake is placed entirely on the customer, forcing us to drive back while our food gets cold rather than providing a simple refund. To make matters worse, the lettuce served with our meal was old and brown. The management displayed zero customer service skills and showed absolutely no concern for their error, ultimately making it clear that they do not value loyal, long-term patrons. We have decided to take our business elsewhere, and I would strongly advise others to avoid this establishment. Find a new night manager that can resolve restaurant mistakes that benefits the customer instead of the establishment. read more

I used to live in the area and often went to eat here. Now when we come to town, we go here and I always order the catfish po boy. I was looking forward to eating it last night and it was horrible! Looks like they are using a flour breading or something. It was also bland. I couldn't eat it. Thankful for the French fries which were awesome. I was so disappointed. Don't know it if I can go back. We live in the area and pick up from Come Back Inn several times/month. The place is BUSY, and the parking lot is often packed. If you're eating in, this is an extremely casual place with the TV usually on a sports event. We have some items we pick up often - the catfish dinner; meatballs & spaghetti; poboys (their bread is really good) - especially the shrimp and bbq beef; lasagna; fried chicken; salads. My husband raves about the Italian salad, but I don't eat those meats. Surprisingly enough, their pizza is really good. They don't offer a ton of toppings, but my vegetarian daughter and I really like getting a pizza smothered with green and black olives. I personally didn't care for the gumbo, which seemed greasy to me. And the barbecued chicken is just chicken with bbq sauce slathered on instead of baked onto it. The only thing that should be coming back in that place right now is tomatoes. Apparently there is a tomato famine according to come back in news network. Yet, what's really happening is the owner is saying tomatoes are too expensive. So the owner is running a sandwhich shop, and doesn't want to spend more money on tomatoes. How can a business be that hurting they run out of tomatoes. If it's an ordering problem, just go to the damn store and buy tomatoes. Don't tell someone you have tomatoes and then allow them to take a sandwhich home and then it's just lettuce and meat. Excuse my accent because I'm from ny! I visited for a short time and wanted some authentic NOLA food. Someone told me come here, it's not far from the airport hotels. I wasn't blown away from the food. I actually added salt to the gumbo. It does have an authentic New Orleans vibe. The onion rings were delicious and the service was great. My husband and I visited because we heard their po boys were really good- especially the bread, but we were a little disappointed. The bread was a little too crunchy and it had sesame seeds on top, which I normally wouldn't mind, but they were a little too toasted and gave the sandwich a burnt taste. Sticker shock is real!! I've always enjoyed this neighborhood poboy shop. Their seeded bread is to die for as are their muffulettas (one of the best in the city, IMO), onion rings, and fried seafood. I moved and haven't had the chance to eat there recently but was in the area and decided to get a regular size ham and Swiss, dressed. I have to say that I was surprised when the counter help said it'll be $13.60!! Deli meat and cheese on a French bread with lettuce and tomato.
