We left STUFFED and still have leftovers. The potatoe was HUGE, soft and well seasoned. The el toco burger was good also. We had the crab meat, crawfish and shrimp. I wouldn't have thought that barbeque on a potato would be so divine. The potato was huge. To say it was loaded was an understatement. I couldn't even eat it all. The price was reasonable. Stopped in this little gem. We wanted something different, cheap and with a little NOLA flair. This met all of our requirements and more. They had a constant flow of people which is also a good sign. The service was superb as the waitress was friendly snd very attentive. I would not call this a destination place but definitely a place if I lived close I would frequent often. I had the chicken delight. It had all of the elements as described and full of flavor. The potato was also large like I expected based on other reviews. My daughter had the super duper. Listen....potatoes are my guilty pleasure. So I was 10000% excited to try Spudly's! I'm glad I did because it was really good. The portion size is huge-- I didn't even make a dent in my meal at the restaurant. There was plenty for me to take home. I had the "Super Duper" which contains cheese, chives, crawfish tails, shrimp, and crab meat. At the time, they were out of crab, but they compensated by loading extra shrimp and crawfish. The only down side was that the potato was not seasoned, so I had to doctor it up with some salt and pepper. After that, it was great! read more

I haven't been here in a LONG time. I remember before there were hundreds of food options in Metairie, there was Spudly's. I've pondered them as of late and finally went to see if it was still good. It was! A place this out of the way, that serves most everything in the biggest potato you've ever seen and stays in business this long , MUST be doing something right. I was solo but hungry. Their choices are many and all sound yummy. I chose the beef it up. It has chipped beef roast, grilled onions and peppers and mushrooms covered in a white cheese sauce and chives. I got a side of chili bc I like it a mess. It was better than I remembered. The beef and mushrooms were delicious. It was kind of like a philly cheese steak in a potato. These people do not use bottom shelf ingredients to top these spuds, it's top notch and FRESH!! I'm eagerly looking forward to the crab and shrimp spud. They ,as of 4/14/21, run the order out to you in the parking lot. The amount of food you get for the price is well worth it. Most can't finish a potato. It's only 5 minutes from my house. Highly recommend! This little gem will not disappoint you. I initially settled for the Shrimp Jessica, which had sautéed mushrooms and shrimp topped with an original cheese sauce, swiss and chives. It was totally was delicious. It was a simple and straight forward gigantic spud but at the same time it wasn't. I then opted for the Bacon 'N Cheese Burger which was heaven in between 2 buns. Always seen the commercials & finally decided to give it a try. Its a small blue unique tucked away location on the service road. We ordered the Super Duper that was loaded with crab meat, shrimp and crawfish. Its covered with cheese sauce and chives a winning combination. Also ordered the seafood spud skins w crawfish. Unfortunately it wasn't as good overall. The inside was cheesy crawfish bliss but it was severely over cooked really burned only about 65% of each were edible. I definitely wouldn't recommend the skins. The service was friendly and food arrived fast. What Spudly's lacks in ambience, it more than makes up for in flavor and value. A Metairie institution, this off-the-beaten dive has been serving up super spuds for as long as I can remember. My wife and I recently went for the first time in probably a decade and were happy to see (and taste) things had not changed. The Bucking Bronco (chipped barbeque beef in a tangy barbeque sauce, topped with swiss and chives) is my go-to while the wife enjoys seafood, so she went with the Nab-a-Crab (crabmeat topped with cheese sauce, cheddar and chives). It's a cliche but the menu truly offers something for everyone, and I'm not sure you'll find a more comforting meal in the area. read more

I've seen the ads for Spudly's for decades and I can't believe this was my first visit. I was craving a baked potato - which has strangely happened a lot lately - and I thought this was a great time to finally get to a place that specializes in spuds. I knew they were located in Metairie, but I hadn't ever seen the building, so thanks to Yelp directions, I found my way there. They are tucked away - I mean really tucked away - near Lakeside Hospital. I parked in front of their Alpine like building and ventured inside. I first noticed that it's a very small place, but there was an available 2 top that I was shown to by the sweet server. I was given a menu and my water was brought over right away. I went with one of their small potatoes after looking around and checking out what other patrons were enjoying. The large potatoes are gigantic and the small ones are normal sized. After about 6 or 7 minutes my mushroom mania potato was delivered to my table. It was delicious!!! Large, fluffy potato covered in cheddar cheese, chives and yummy sautéed mushrooms. So I had a very satisfying, tasty lunch for under $8. I'm sold and will definitely be back. read more

I love the little Alpine building, the staff are always Super Spudly's sweet and personable! The consistent deliciousness of these gourmet baked potatoes has been on point since 1988! I'm an avid lover of the 4 cheese "Wisconsin" and my husband can't live without his Super Pizza Spud. The loaded baked potato soup is unsurpassed! Savory hearty and filling, just like their massively huge Super Stuffed Spuds. I finally noticed that they also offer a smaller stuffed potato, which I tried yesterday and was the PERFECT size for my smaller appetite. I finished the whole thing in one sitting... Did I mention it was PERFECT?! This restaurant is very affordable, family friendly, casual and laid back. On busy nights sitting upstairs is pretty neat-o in this distinctive building. Same atmosphere, dark interior and just enough tables to run a great business. The tablecloths are really, really cute! They have every kind of loaded baked potato print on them.
