I love this place. This is another great restaurant in San Juan. Walked in ~30 minutes before closing and we were accommodated by their lovely staff. It has a cozy ambiance and offers great service. Our server Pamela was super nice. Food was great. Inca tuna was very good. It's sushi grade tuna crusted in quinoa, Peruvian fried rice with eel sauce and topped with seaweed salad. Kan Kan is fried pork chop with mampostea'o rice and citrus salad. This is the biggest pork chop I have ever seen in my life. It was cooked perfectly. Crunchy on the outside yet still juicy inside. For dessert, souffle was great. The contrast between the hot flourless chocolate cake and the cold vanilla ice cream was lovely. We really had great experience here. Great food, ambiance and service. Excellent food, but weak service, especially for a restaurant on a Marriott property! We arrived around 10a wanting brunch. Brunch, which is different from the breakfast menu starts at 10:30a. Ok, I understand, can't fault the kitchen. The waitress said she would put our order in closer to brunch time. Cool. The restaurant is dead. Then a couple of little old ladies come up and wait for brunch. Our waitress is yapping at the bar. Their waitress comes right up and takes their order. We waited an extra 15 minutes for our waitress to finally take our order. We got the salmon Benedict and the Guava pancakes. The food was excellent! A bit pricy, but very tasty and worth it! Comedor has delicious food and great service! The interior is great for photos too, lots of art deco vibes. All of the food we had was delicious. I think the star of the show was the chicken mac n cheese. All of the cocktails are good too, I'd go for more of the fruity ones. The service was very accommodating! A few dishes came out cold (likely because we had a group of ten and the foods were done cooking at different times) and they were happy to help and reheat it. This restaurant is located inside the hotel. We arrived at the hotel close to 7 PM, and since I wasn't feeling well, we decided to grab dinner from the hotel. We seated ourselves. The wait staff came by to take our drink orders. Water is not free. You can purchase a bottle for like $6. We opted not to purchase the water because we had about $15 in credit from the hotel. We asked if it was okay to get the drinks from the hotel credit and bring them inside, we were told that we could. My husband stepped outside and brought back Gatorade and water as we both needed to hydrate. The lights are very dim lit. The food was good. The carrot cake was good. It wasn't overly sweet. Upon entering we were greeted by friendly female staff asking if we had reservations. She kindly sat us outside but gave us the inside as an option if we'd like. The ambience is amazing dinner setting with dim lighting, great for a dinner date or late night cocktail! The restaurant feels calm and peaceful, and the food is pretty good. I would rate it a 5, but during one of my visits, I had a very unattentive waiter, and I had about 20 or so minutes waiting to request dessert and then again for my bill. Many great options for dinner: the vegetable noodle bowl, fried eggplant w/ mushroom ravioli, truffle chicken Mac & Cheese or any of the steaks! This was overall okay and honestly I'd try it again and make different choices because some of it was I think what I chose. We specifically chose the day and time of our reservation because of happy hour so we all picked a drink based on the online menu for happy hour. There was a miscommunication with the drinks I asked for the espresso martini on the menu and pointed to it and was brought a regular espresso martini. She said I needed to order the affogato one and I didn't ask for it so I just got a regular. We also asked about the happy hour and she said she wasn't sure so had to check (we'd checked online) and then came back to inform us in order to do that we had to order two of the exact same drink. I ordered ceviche and again, by my fault I'd waffled between that and a salad but she confirmed the ceviche but then I was brought a salad, which she remedied. The burger was overcooked and dry but the fries were great. The truffle Mac and cheese was flavorless but my friends poke meal was good! This was a neat little spot in San Juan (Mirimar) P.R. I enjoyed my meal. The restaurant is located at inside the Courtyard Marriott, where I was staying. I noticed both hotel guests and locals coming to eat there, which was nice to have local validation. My food was tasty and my server/bartender was cute, friendly and nice. Let me first say I like this place very much and I've had two good meals here. Unfortunately, the waitress that I had this morning had a terrible head cold. She was sneezing and coughing all over the place without covering her face. Not once did she get up to wash her hands as she was folding napkins and organizing silverware into the napkins. Once again this place delivers! Flew in New Year's Eve, they were prepping for reservation folks but still squeezed us in for an early dinner no hassle at all. Had a great dinner, rigatoni & shredded chicken for the wife and broiled chicken salad for me. The place is always well kept with the clients mostly locals, or family visiting locals. Very rarely see any Anglo tourists there after several visits. No language barriers, staff fully bilingual and courteous. Also for today's times the bill was absolutely reasonable $45 dinner for 2. Such a lovely surprise for dinner in a hotel restaurant. We unexpectedly had to stay an additional night in PR so we quick booked a hotel at the Marriott and discovered this place. What a beautiful presentation of elevated Puerto Rican. We chose the churrasco, Rib Eye, Mac N Cheese, Avacado Salad, Empanadas, and Calamari. It was absolutely delish. Service of course was over the top generously Puerto Rican and the Mojitos, well they just always taste better in the Caribbean. Seriously, this place is not a boring hotel restaurant. Their food is custom-made, and the craft cocktails are divine! The food is just outstanding! I had the appetizer Del Campo salad and it's so huge, that I'm eating it for lunch the next day. I didn't even add any protein to it. It's just so amazing. Then I also had the baked chicken turnovers which was also excellent with that spicy ketchup. Everything was just so good, I even tasted someone else's risotto with a little bit of salmon on it and that was outstanding as well. RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF - My family and I are visiting San Juan for 14 days and upon entering the establishment, this server greets us, asks us how many guests (7, by the way), and then as she walks away to see if a table is ready (there are 3 huge tables at the center of the restaurant that are empty and can accommodate us) As my 11 year old sits down near the front door to patiently wait, she immediately walks towards us with a nasty tone and tells him to get up. She then tells us all to wait in the lobby until a table is ready. Another group walks in moments after and they are seated immediately.... The New Yorker in me wanted to put paws on her, but we instead took our business elsewhere. I don't know who hired this woman, but clearly she is not built for the hospitality industry. Fire her!
