Worst receptionist ever, she's rude, mean and careless, I am never going back to that office again

About two years ago, I went there to get my braces removed, but they told me I had to pay an extra $1,000 because my contract had expired. I was shocked. I kept wondering why they never notified me that my contract would expire at the end of the month when I had already told them I needed to reschedule my appointment. Honestly, I felt like I was being scammed. I couldn't afford to pay the extra money. Now, years later, I still have my braces on because I don't have $1,000 to get them removed. I've also started getting brown stains on my teeth, which makes me feel really embarrassed. read more

This place was amazing! In the middle of El Monte and cannot tell from the outside but the minute you step in to this clean facility, Chantel greeted us with a smile. I was delighted to see this type of atmosphere and warm welcome from the jump. I was skeptical because I did not do my research and due diligence before I came by. I was merely there because they called me up to come in for a check up. From there I was brought in on a timely manner and Gohar did my X-Rays and she did an amazing job. Next was doctor Monte who took care of my cleaning and did an excellent job!! My teeth was in good shape so all I needed was cleaning and they did that in a very clean and comfortable place! I have very mixed feelings about this office. The team in the back, the dentists and assistants are absolutely amazing. They are professional, caring, and go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. They also take the time to explain everything clearly, so you always understand what's going on with your teeth. Honestly, they deserve 5+ stars. Unfortunately, the front office experience is very different. The women at the front desk have come across as unprofessional and, at times, rude. There have been instances where personal conversations are discussed loudly, and I've even overheard staff speaking negatively about the doctor and whispering about patients after they've been seen. That kind of behavior is uncomfortable and doesnt reflect well on the office as a whole. It's disappointing because the clinical team is excellent, but the front office environment takes away from the overall experience. I truly hope management addresses this, because with a stronger front office, this place would easily be a 5-star practice. read more

I've been coming here for a few years now and each visit has been great. Before my first appointment, I was wary of the low rating comments regarding the receptionists, but made one anyways since I haven't been to a dentist in years. But now here I am years later and they have been the best receptionists I've met. They have been nothing but polite, respectful, and fun to talk to. From booking appointments to explaining payments, they have made it all extremely easy and effortless while giving me the essential information. Furthermore, Dr. Ovsepyan and the rest of the staff has always kept me informed on the current task being done and has been transparent with the options available. I have been here for almost everything, from cleanings to filling, to getting all 4 wisdoms removed and my Invisalign treatments. I have not encountered any problems thus far. Based on the positive reviews, I tried to give this Dental group a try as my primary when changing to a new Dental HMO insurance provider. Unfortunately, from the times that I tried to seek dental assistance and had interactions with this clinic, I ended up feeling disappointed in this place. Though there is a lot of patients, I don't feel the Dr has much patience when it's your turn. And if you were to question or ask him to clarify what he mentions to you during consultation, you will sense he quickly gets annoyed. I don't believe that's good service given. The facility itself is dirty (disgusting to say the least on their restroom) on the inside and small. You will feel crammed like sardines in a can once you get into the patient's chairs area and continue waiting. The worse thing I can say about this place other than their lack of customer service, is that what other negative reviews say is unfortunately true... Although they may say they accept all types of dental insurance, they actually won't go through insurance if they don't have to. They will try to upsell you services that you may not need, try to say insurance only slightly discounted the costs, and try to get you pay the most out-of-pocket for treatments. They also make you feel bad for having HMO over PPO if that applies to you. It's very shady business practice and all about the money over quality of clients. Needless to say, I'm changing my Primary Dentist. I'd recommend to STAY AWAY from this place. read more

I had mediocre dental insurance when I first started going to Comfort Dental, and their out-of-pocket pricing was incredibly fair and reasonable. People who complain on here that a dental office doesn't accept every insurance known to mankind, or their insurance doesn't cover procedures they need seem to think they're going bargain shopping at a swap meet for their teeth. Guess what, when I had medicore insurance, my insurance company was the one scamming me, not my dentist or primary doctor. Now to the actual dental work being done. He takes the time to thoroughly explain his diagnosis, offers different remedy options, and provides pricing options if needed before he begins his work. I have been to a previous dentist that scam and overcharge me, and this location is far from it (I even experienced getting billed for canceling my dental appointment...), but with this location, I never encountered an overcharge or payment issue. I been coming here for four months and every time I come in, the front desk receptionist ladies, Jasmine and Chantel, make you feel at home and welcome. Also, Chantel and Jasmine always call the day before my appointment to confirm and they go above and beyond to make sure that I am able to walk-in every time I encounter an issue with my braces. Went in to have my son a Pano Xray . Seeing i have never been to this off i asked the lady sitting at the front desk basic questions if she needed the form given to me by the Comfort Dental location In Baldwin Park or do i need to sign my son's name on the clip board . Right off the top she was very rude bothered as if i should know what to do . I confronter her about her attitude and she said it was due to my action mind you all i was doing was asking questions. Then she proceeded to say we can do this all day . I was not going to continue going back and forth with her . When i asked her name she said Chantel I'm the office manager ..
