Was so looking forward to a beer here after the reviews but once again mask insanity. So you could order a beer at the outside window 2ft away from the employee without a mask. You walk inside to order and you are told to mask up to order from the same employee 2ft away. Our entire party turned around and walked out and went to another bar. Your mask insanity cost the business a $100 minimum in business. Follow the CDC guidelines. read more

Stopped in to Commonhouse on Friday night for some birthday drinks with friends. My sister and I split a flight. I love the cupcake tins as the flight-holder, just wish they had the 6 size instead of the 4. Still, it's a cute gimmick that I haven't seen done before. All of the beers were good and I went back for a full pour of the Barony Whipper-Raspberry. There were a lot of people there - not a full house, but definitely busy - and the staff didn't seem to miss a beat. It was very comfortable and they had a great selection of beer. The staff was friendly and even gave us a little "thank you" when we gave them some of our homemade cupcakes. I'm stoked to go back and try their different food trucks, plus I cannot wait til it's warm enough to sit outside without a jacket! It's within walking distance to all of the great Park Circle food options, so you can eat whatever and burn some calories walking to your car. read more

We stopped in to try a few beers. They were the only brewery we could find open around noon which was great. Lots of unique flavors to try. Our favorite was the pumpkin seasonal option. I was also pleased to see they had a cider option. The outdoor space was awesome and they are building a stage. Parking was easy and free. read more

I really love this place. I'm not a huge beer fan, but they always have some great ciders and sour beers available. The atmosphere is great - very roomy with lots of outdoor seating - and there are always bands or food trucks or different events happening. It has always been clean and the employees have always been friendly. read more

We're so thankful for cool new places in park circle to hang out! Very chill spot with ample seating inside and out. People brought there dogs and listened to the live music next door at Lola's. Quality beer, fair prices, great customer service. Parking is pretty open there as well, but we found that most people visiting are locals who just walked. read more

This is a pretty cool place, especially the outdoor area that's not only kid friendly but has outdoors bands and super comfy Adirondack chairs. I always see this place pretty packed on nice weekend days, so my husband and I finally decided to try them out with some friends. It was a cold Saturday evening, they had a band playing from 6-9pm outside. I think it was about high 40s out. They had those propane outdoor heaters, but only one was working/had propane. That was a bit unfortunate since it was cold and we wanted to hang outside to listen to the band. We cycled between inside and outside and luckily when it was after 9pm we were able to get close to the one heater that was working. They have a good selection on tap, and even have a rose for those who don't like beer. They have my favorite from Charleston fermentory, One Tracht Mind, which is a sour beer that almost tastes cidery (I'm not a huge beer fan myself so this is a good option for me). The server we had was nice and was quick to remove empty cups to keep the table clean. Pricing isn't steep, but it definitely added up by the end of the night! Parking is convenient there's a large public parking lot diagonal across the street plus street parking in front of the building. I was able to get a spot easily prime time on Saturday night. Park Circle is also a cool area and this location fits right in. We would come back again, but probably will wait until it warms up just a little bit more! ALSO they have a sign in the girls bathroom explaining how to contact staff discretely if you think you are in a dangerous situation on a date. I won't divulge what the sign says but if you ever feel uncomfortable on a date at this location go into the ladies bathroom and read that sign. Seriously the best thing I've seen in a bar bathroom, I really appreciate that they have this for women. read more

I would recommend trying Common house if you have never been. Don't just come alone, bring your friends, your family, your co-worker, your weird neighbor Glenn that has too many cats. The beer is great the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is very social. Good job guys! read more

Bar none the coolest brewery setup i've seen. Huge outdoor space with some lawn games, live music, and rocking chairs to just chill out on the porch. The beer was excellent and they had a nice variety, but the overall vibe was even better. Lots of locals makes you feel like you're really visiting a true neighborhood business instead of a corporate outpost. It was extremely dog friendly as well. read more

Came from out of town and were searching for a place that we could hangout outside, with some beers and grab a vegan burger. This place really blew me away! My boyfriend and I each got the beyond burger (no cheese) from the menu and were super happily surprised that the sun dried tomato pesto was dairy free!! They came with a generous side of tater tots which were really delicious. Overall the food was awesome, the beer was great and the staff was super accommodating!! As a heads up, the impossible burger website says it is served here but when we went it was the beyond burger. Still great!! read more

Food was good and price point was fair. Beer is good (only had the Park Circle Pale Ale at this visit) and other beer options I have consumed have proven they know how to brew some good beer. Seriously, though, the person working, Jessica, had a smile on her face during my transaction and while delivering the many food orders to others eating outside. THAT is what I like to see when I am at a microbrewery in the Charleston area! I'll take great customer service over any other aspect while visiting the (current) 27 other microbreweries in the Charleston area (well, it does help if the beer is good, too). Cheers. read more

This was by far the worst brewery I've visited in Charleston. Horrible customer service, beer is ok, selection is small, and food is greasy and fried. Just no. I brought my service dog and was told she could stay if she was "well mannered". I ended up speaking up because I saw one of the other waiters making fun of the situation as if it were fake (my dog has 3 legs, doesn't look like a normal service dog). And I ended up saying something ...so the manager promised to train her staff, but I have to say the whole situation left me not wanting to come back, esp with the poor food quality. There are better breweries. Skip this one. read more

Excellent brewery - great space, great location. We really enjoy visiting on Wednesday nights for Rich Trivia. This brewery is very nicely designed - the bathrooms are the most impeccable brewery bathrooms I've ever stepped foot in I do recommend enjoying at least one brew while relaxing in one of their rocking chairs outside. Wow. I just had the most awful customer service experience in my life in this place. The waitress caused an entire scene, was rude and told out entire group to never come back. She was completely inappropriate and obviously did not have the social skills to handle the situation. We were all calm and respectful however she asked us to leave and called the police despite us telling her that we were leaving. Who in their right mind would stay after the scene she cause anyway. What a shame that commonhouse aleworks, a place that our group used to frequent pretty often chose people with so little common sense to represent them. I am appalled and surely never going back. What an embarrassment to their brand. There are plenty of breweries in Charleston that respect their customers to even consider this place an option. I did call twice to tell their manager about this incident prior to posting this review however nobody ever picked up the phone. I do hope they chose their staff more carefully in the future. read more
