The space is great, even though the tables were dirty & the seating looks like it's been thrown around for years. Didn't this place just open? The wifi is very slow, so don't come unless you have your own hotspot. The music is too loud to be able to fully work remote here. It's more of a cafe vibe & maybe answer a couple emails at the most. Got here at 10AM & it opened at 8AM...yet all the outdoor pillows were everywhere inside. As if they weren't open yet... Now $7 for this small of a drink that was mostly the cream top...absolutely NOT a place to come for your coffee fix. Just cause you give me a cute space, on the corner of the busiest streets...doesn't mean you can justify that type of price for size. Now the burrito was good, I will give them that. I was lucky enough to be able to physically run into Hala. The gorgeous ambience caught my eye. And it's something that I know for a fact I would've enjoyed. I was reading on my second copy of the day, so I was definitely taking a gamble by grabbing another one but I'm sure glad I did. With Spanish lattes, hala iced coffees with thick, cold, foams, overnight pistachio, Chia puddings, and machos. I cannot land on one thing. So I ended up, ordering the Chia pudding, a few coffees and Matcha to give it a try Not only was the stuff over the top friendly and suggesting their personal favorites but everything came out extremely quick. How many items that I had a chance to try were delectable. My personal favor was the hala latte. It was a very creamy cold foamed espresso drink. It definitely stood out with it bold and unique flavors. While I was sitting and enjoying my coffee, I did notice there an example of people who got the burritos and literally everyone was saying how delicious they were., So I definitely think that that's something that I'm gonna be trying next time. I had been meaning to try out this place for a while, so my co workers and I came during lunch. We all got different drinks (all ice: espresso einspänner, matcha einspänner, and banana pudding. All of them were tasty, but I wish my espresso einspänner was a tad bit stronger. The banana pudding according to my friend is definitely on the sweeter side - but she prefers that. As far as the service, there was two only young men that were working and you could tell they were a bit overwhelmed with the orders. The matcha orders were taking a very long time to come out - since those probably take longer to make. And based on other reviews, this seems to be a common issue. Stopped by Hala again and was very happy to see they've upgraded to larger cups! This time I ordered the iced strawberry matcha latte, but unfortunately it was a bit disappointing. The matcha tasted watered down and the matcha flavor was very faint - the quality seemed to have declined since my last visit. The strawberry puree was great though and ended up being the redeeming part of the drink. There was only one employee working both the register and making drinks, so there was a bit of a wait just to place our order given it was a busy afternoon. Was invited to try out this place and the drinks were definitely memorable. I had the Strawberry Matcha, Lotus Matcha Latte (I forgot the actual name), Mango Matcha, and Coconut Matcha. All were very tasty with a good balance of matcha and added flavors. The Mango Matcha was refreshing. I've always had Strawberry Matcha's but never this mix and I wish it was just as common. The mango was refreshing and made the drink so light. Same for the Coconut Matcha, not too sweet and very refreshing for this summer weather. My favorite was by far the Lotus Matcha Latte. I don't remember the exact name. Just remembered there was Biscoff involved and had to try it. First time having it with matcha and it was so delectable. The cream top was rich and perfect! So yummy with the Biscoff crumb topping! The cafe itself was also very spacious and well lit with plenty of tables and outdoor seating. It was a little hot inside but they do provide water. Staff were also just okay. It was my first time and I was a bit confused about the process, but didn't feel as welcomed as I'd like. Unfortunately, even with the delicious drinks, I had to remove a star for the parking. Understandably, LA is known for horrible parking, but I truly had such a hard time finding parking. It took me 45 minutes prowling the area in hopes for an open meter on a Saturday afternoon. Not their fault but something to keep in mind. The location is actually super close to The Grove, so if you're willing to walk, it'll probably be more convenient. read more

This is a really delightful, open, spacious shop. Lovely clean decor, good AC, clean restrooms, and a really nice patio out front (that will be even better when they manage to provide some shade for the western corner!). Chill music, lots of tables, comfy looking couches...a really nice spot to maybe study or work or just meet up with people to hang out. We tried the Einspanner Coffee Latte and the Salted Vanilla Latte. I would get both again. The coffee flavor was strong, the cream top was lovely and flavorful, the salted vanilla flavor was great, and they put a lot of care into making our drinks. We ordered them just how they come and both were a really nice light sweetness level. I prefer a less sweet drink (I usually order 25% at boba shops) and this was perfect as is. Everyone we interacted with was knowledgeable and kind. There were a lot of people hanging out here at almost close, 5:45 on a Monday. If they ever decide to stay open later, I bet they'd have business! It's a great meeting spot. The only drawback is parking, which is street only. Beware of the permit only sections in the neighborhoods. We used the valet section by Jinya for our 5 minute coffee pickup and that worked great. If you want to stay longer, it might take a handful of more minutes more to find parking. read more

Solid new coffee shop in the Beverly Grove area. I ordered the Banana Pudding Matcha Latte and it was good and standard. The matcha volume was good and it was pretty smooth. The pudding part was creamy and tasty, but could've had a less artificial taste. I've had better banana cream-like matchas, but this one was still solid. They also ran out of whole milk when I went on an early Saturday afternoon, so they used oat milk for mine at no extra cost. I feel like whole milk would've been better for this drink because I did get a slight watery feel. The interior is aesthetic with the cream colors and beachy feel. A good spot to hangout and socialize at. There seems to be Wifi, but I only saw one outlet in the entire coffee shop. The service was great as well and the barista came to where I was seated to apologize for the missing whole milk and offer an alternative. Overall a good experience here. Nothing stands out, but I would visit again to try the drinks and food items. Loving the boho sleek kinda vibe and the fact that they intentionally have very limited plugs prolly to assure people don't sit for long hours. We went for their Einspanner coffee and Einspanner matcha as both seemed to be equally popular besides the banana pudding ones. Their coffee was so bold like typical middle eastern signature one indeed, without being overly acidic. The cream top the came as right balance to it! Service was okay, if a bit curt, and it took a bit of time to get my drink. I'd ordered an einspänner, and it was fine, but I wish that the coffee flavor was stronger. I almost didn't get to try this place cause I showed up right around closing after a mix-up with their hours. We had driven a little farther out to check it out to come here. But the owner was incredibly kind and still offered to make our drinks, which I really appreciated. We ordered the banana latte and the salted vanilla latte. This is our third time coming to this shop and while we were pleased the first time, it has been inconsistent since then. Paying $7-8 per drink for it to only be a 12 oz size feels wrong. After my review, the owner responded personally and asked us to call him. During our conversation, he said he would look into the tip screen settings and apologized for the menu issue, and invited us back for a complimentary item to make up for the experience. We returned, and he followed through on everything he promised. More importantly, we left feeling heard and valued as customers. Been trying to find local spots that serve this uncommon drink and I've had it at a couple spots but this one was definitely the best I've tried (other than Dash in Pasadena). I got the einspanner matcha latte and the cream top it came with is rich, velvety, and has an amazing and distinct sweetness to it. The matcha itself has a smooth profile and I asked for half sweetener (it comes with vanilla) and it was perfect!! My only note is that while I think the dried fig fruit was an aesthetic addition to the drink, it felt a bit impractical as it wasn't really something I'd find myself eating. I kind of just left it in the cup. Other than that... I inhaled this matcha in like 5 minutes and I'm a slow sipper. AMBIANCE 10/10: Really clean interior, ample natural lighting, and lots of seating. I found that lots of people were in there doing work. The drinks themselves, not so great. I usually go around trying iced lattes from many places for fun & this one disappointed.
