This used to be my family's first choice for servicing for several years, yet after the latest experience we had here recently, there was no doubt in my mind that we would never set foot there again. A few months ago, the engine maintenance light for my car came on whenever I started it so we took it in to be looked at. Supposedly the problem was found and resolved, and even though it cost a fortune to get it fixed, we still did so with no complaint. However, only two days passed before the light came right back on, so we took it back in for repairs. Again, the problem was supposedly found and resolved, and yet again, the light turned on a day or so later. This happened a few times before we became fed up with how it seemed nothing was being fixed with the car and yet we were being charged hundreds each time, even if nothing was actually done to the car, and worse, when we were TOLD we wouldn't be charged for it and yet there it was on the bill when we went to get our car. This probably would have continued on if I had not been able to find out the problem myself by accident. It was the battery of my car that was dying out. When we called them, they said they would look at it and voila, they agreed right away that it was the battery and would fix it. We told them that we refused to pay the labor charges this time since they forced us to pay it before when they had told us they wouldn't charge it. When we came to get the car, the owner was no where to be seen and someone else was waiting for us to get the keys and we knew exactly why when we went to make our payment. Yes, there was no separate charge for labor, but it seemed the bill for the battery itself was enough to cover both the part and labor. I'm usually very patient with things like this, but by the end I was both fed up and angered at the way the situation was handled. Now we go elsewhere for our services, and though it may be more expensive, its worth it since the end result fares better. read more

I have a VW Passat and it is not simple to find a good mechanic for this car. Comp U Tune & Brake is a half block from where I was working (my company closed in March) so I checked them out on Yelp and decided to try them. My check engine light had been coming on and going off for quite a while (but afraid to take it to any of the VW dealers!), and it was time to get the car SMOGed. I had a very good experience at Comp U Tune - they replaced the bad catalytic converter, spark plugs, belts (140K on this car - they were due again), and filters. Also told me I didn't need to replace my brakes yet. They forgot to do my oil change that I had asked for, so they did it the next day - for free. I will be taking my car back there the next time I need work - major or minor. Would have given them 5 stars if they had remembered the oil the first day. Would rate them 4.8 stars if I had the option. read more

Just went in today for an oil change on my 96' Civic. My first time here, I usually go to J&J right across from them, but their next available appointment was Tuesday and I didn't want to wait and go on a school day so here I was. I called in advance, got it there, and left within the hour. Great service, but slightly higher price than J&J which was $18 last time I went. They use new oil rather than recycled and changed the filter, so the price was right and came out to be $34 which is not horrible. They specialize in Acuras and Hondas which was helpful to learn. Definitely going to go there again. read more

Be aware they have bad customer service, Bad workmanship, they don't know what they are doing. I took my honda accord to this shop for a simple diagnostic, first I got rude customer service from the owner and front desk workers. Then they misdiagnosed my car. I took it took the dealer ship afterwards to get second opinion, then another shop to get a third opinion to find out Motorsport had misdiagnosed my car. I proved it Motorsport Honda-Acura Service by showing them all the paperwork , and they would not honor there mistake and told me to never come to there shop again because they thought I am trying to scam them. My temperture gage was showing that the vehicle was over heating, after having the car looked at by numerous mechanics and spending several hundreds of dollars I came away with the same problem. I work close to Usman`s shop and decided to take the car across the street, we had a10 minute conversation. Comp U Tune was recommended by my neighbor and friend. I dropped in to speak with Usman and give him the low-down on my ailing truck. He informed me that he would perform a 32 point inspection first and look into the the issues that I brought to his attention as well. He also recommended an oil change. While we were talking he investigated the "knocking" sound coming from my engine. Within seconds of popping the hood he was able to locate the issue and tell me what was needed to resolve it. He also noticed that my oil was low and "topped it off". That immediately told me that I was in the right spot! I brought my truck in the following day for my scheduled appointment. The 32 point inspection turned up some issues and I also needed brakes. Prior to beginning any additional work outside of the 32 point inspection I was called and informed of the findings along with the recommended course of action and cost. No additional work was performed until they had the green light from me to proceed. Upon my return to pick up my truck I was provided a list of their findings/next actions all arranged in a neat list in order of need/importance. Who does this? Someone that cares about your safety, that's who. When we squared away the bill, which was fair and extremely affordable, I jumped in my truck and happily drove off. Let's just say I drove in with a 2003 Ford Explorer and Left with a 2014 Ford Explorer. I now have a smooth ride and am looking forward to scheduling the next appointment to get started on my list! Well, what can I say about Usman and his shop? The only words that come to my mind are amazing, quick, and efficient!!! Usman is always so kind and down to earth whenever I see him. I've been coming to his shop for about 3 years now and I never had anything bad to say about him or his shop. I needed an honest and reliable mechanic to help maintain my Jaguar S Type. I was always told by my father that it's rare to find an honest mechanic these days. Especially, one who is honest to female clients. This was not the case at this shop. I was always treated with respect and treated fair. I like to walk into a shop and the owner greets me by my first name! That says a lot about a company! Usman always made sure that my 6 year old daughter and I drove off safely. Just last week during my lunch break my car overheated due to a worn coolant tank. I was really worried since I live over an hour away but, work close to his shop. I was concerned about how I was going to pick up my daughter after school and how I was going to make it home after that. Usman seriously saved me that day! Not only was my car repaired and ready for me when I got off work but, I was able to pick up my daughter after school and drive home THE SAME DAY!!! You guys are amazing!!! I have a '91 Honda Prelude that another mechanic told me had a blown head gasket. After letting the car sit for almost a year, I decided to get the car fixed. A golf buddy referred me to Usman at Comp U Tune, and they were able to determine that the repair was actually much smaller then what I was told by the other mechanic. After talking to and exchanging emails with Usman and Anna Marie, I had them basically bring the car back to life. It now runs better then it ever has, and I would know since I'm the original owner.
