Taco Tuesday did not disappoint! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was inviting, the music was great[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], and Luis S. and the rest of the team provided terrific service. The tacos were really good, especially the pork belly, followed by the asada and fish tacos. My husband enjoyed the birria tacos as well. We also tried the watermelon and mango margaritas, the watermelon was the better one to me and the guacamole and chips were a great appetizer. At $2.50 per taco and $5 margaritas, the value is hard to beat. The vibes were great, the food and drinks were solid, and this will definitely be my new go to spot.

I reallyyyyyyy was looking forward to this place because of all of the great reviews. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We made reservations and realized it was going to be crowded because of Cinco de Mayo and Happy Hour.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is smaller than I thought but it was fun and festive almost like a club, with a dj and everything.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our experience started off good, our waiter was nice and we requested to wait for happy hour and he was kind about it. But after a lot more people got seated around us, we were completely ignored. The bigger parties got serviced faster, received their drinks and foods A LOT FASTER. My bf and I ordered nachos and two taco flights yet our server heard one taco flight. So we shared one taco flight while waiting for the other to be delivered. Never arrived. We ordered another round of drinks...again never received them. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were seated in the middle and I felt like the outer tables were seen and the inside tables were totally invisible.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Another pair next to us experienced the same thing because they looked just as irritated as us. We could've saved time and just went to another Mexican restaurant with better service and better food. The taco flight was basic. Needless to say, wont be visiting again nor recommending.

I did a quick searchi on Yelp for food in the area while on a trip and this place looked intriguing. Decided to give it a try and it was not a disappointment! Cool vibes with music playing and welcoming staff. They have a bar, high top tables, and larger tables for groups; there is a patio out front as well. The food was SO good. Guacamole and chips for the table, which came with two salsas. The green sauce was so good! The red sauce was good as well but definitely didn't gravitate towards it as much. Tacos are a la carte, which was convenient so I could try different options. Battered fish, cryspy shrimp, and "camaron enchilado" were my choices. Of the three, the enchilado was my favorite. I got a mango michelada for my beverage and was pleasantly surprised at the size of it for the price. I was expecting a pint glass but this was quite large.

Absolutely delicious! Everything was exquisite, customer service was great as well, waited a little bit to be seated but the food made up for it, prices are great, definitely a hidden gem! It's so worthy of trying! Just thinking about it makes my mouth watery!

Excellent service from start to finish! Manager Ricardo was incredibly kind and made a point to check in on us throughout our visit. Our bartender, Oldin, was just as impressive--attentive, quick, and truly skilled at his craft. Even though I usually prefer Añejo tequilas, he introduced me to a couple of Blanco options that were surprisingly smooth and enjoyable. We ordered the bone marrow tacos, and they were absolutely delicious. The food came out incredibly fast, and the overall speed and quality of service really stood out. The ambiance was also great--not too busy for Easter Sunday, which made the experience even more enjoyable, and the music was on point. I was genuinely impressed and will definitely be returning to Compadres Cantina.

One star for the chicken enchiladas I had... other than that, the experience here was revolting. I will say, I came here about 2 years ago expecting the same vibe because it was amazing that last time. You would think this place would keep up the good ambiance they had, but that was not the case. It was enough for me, and everyone else in my party to know that we would not want to come back here. Considering that we came here for my best friend's birthday, and we had a big party, you would think they would be welcoming and accommodating. We made reservations, which we didn't have to, because for a Saturday night, it was empty. The girl at the front was not welcoming at all, and our server was so rude and disrespectful. She did not come in to check up on us when we were missing a couple items (mind you, the restaurant was not even filled, so we did not understand why she was not stopping by) and she even brought an extra drink to our table then realized it was for another party (but charged it on our bill). While we were here for a celebration, the server honestly ruined the mood. When we received the bill, we asked her to remove the extra margarita that she charged on our bill. She did not come by to clear our table at all, so we had proof of all of the drinks we had on our table and counted each of them that reflected on the bill. She was making a big deal out of it and seemed to not want to remove it. We asked if there was a manager to speak to, and she said no. We had to talk to three other servers who worked there, so they could understand where we were coming from. She was making it seem like we did not want to tip, which we definitely would because we're a big party and that's just common courtesy, but she was pressing on that issue when it was clearly us wanting to remove the margarita from the bill. Finally, the last guy who came to speak to us stated that, "Well, we have to redo the entire bill again just to remove it." Like? So they made a huge deal out of removing a margarita because they were too lazy to do it again... We literally explained to him that they were all giving us a hard time because they decided that they did not want to redo the bill? That's insane. Eventually, he said he will do it, but it was ridiculous that they went through lengths for us to just get one margarita off the bill... Clearly, I will not be returning along with everyone else who attended the dinner. The chicken enchiladas were good but not enough for me to return to an overly priced restaurant with horrible service where you feel neglected, the servers are rude, and drinks are not the best. There are better Mexican restaurants out here, avoid this place. Seriously.

Been wanting to try this place forever and I finally tried it this past Monday on Labor Day with my friend and we had a very good time and everything was five stars all around. It's nice inside I love the decor. It's so vibrant and colorful and definitely a good vibe to have fun and a good happy hour joint for sure on Mondays. They have good margaritas specials for six dollars and they have a happy hour from 3 to 6 PM Monday through Thursday I believe. The service is very exceptional and they check on you the whole entire time and ask if you need anything and if you're OK. We started off with the guacamole and chips which was a five out of five and very delicious. Front the happy hour menu I got the four tacos chicken that was very good and moist, and the chicken taquitos which was bomb. For my drink order, I got the lemon drop, sangria, and I tried a mango margarita that I didn't finish only because it was a little bit too sweet but overall, it was very good. All drinks were five out of five. I wanted to try a few drinks so I can just know since it was my first time. I will come back here and I will come to enjoy happy hour again and the regular menu because it has so much to choose from, and I like because they also have rolls, which they look very good that I would try next time.

This is a hidden gem, I've only come during lunch and it hasn't been that busy. The server says it gets busy on the weekends and later in the day. So far I've tried the chilaquiles burrito and a carne asada burrito wet. My wife has gotten the taco trio. Both my burrito's were bursting with flavor and their hot sauces and amazing. Super nice seating and great music playing. Servers have been super helpful and attentive. Can't wait till my next visit.

The food here was amazing! I really enjoyed the food but might have to consider eating inside the restaurant. While the service was great, their in house DJ just made it so difficult to enjoy a Saturday breakfast. A little disorganized and I feel like the outdoor seating is too close and they let people check in without a mask.. Other than that the drinks and food was bomb! I recommend their surf and turf taco and compadres roll. There was another taco I tried that was delicious but can't remember the name. Came for my birthday dinner Monday night and absolutely loved it. Im a beer girl but I had to try their palomas, the drink was tasty and the food was fantastic. I've been to this location twice now and enjoyed it both times. Their margaritas are delicious. I recommend their taquitos, pork belly and really any margarita. Service is alway good and they atmosphere is cool. This place is a great place to cure a hangover lol. read more

Extremely LOUD AND OBNOXIOUS! I'm not that old, but club blaring music at 5 pm is annoying! My teenager couldn't stand it either. If you want to know what Tijuana is like then come here. Pretty much the vibe if that's what you are looking for. Service was fine, but I could not even enjoy myself due the unnecessary noise. If you want us to focus on your eclectic seconds servings of food then turn the dang music down! Food was irrelevant after about 10 minutes. read more

This modern California Mexican bar had some of the best Cali-Mex we have ever had!The boys ordered delicious burritos. Jason had the surf & surf burrito which had steak and shrimp and was smothered in delicious cheese sauce. I had a Taco flight which included a Pork Belly Taco, Surf & Turf Taco, & a Shrimp taco. I've been wanting to try this place for awhile now. Finally got the opportunity to this weekend & boy do I regret not going there sooner! I didn't have a single item that wasn't amazing. We ordered the asada nachoslibre for the table. I had a hard time deciding what to get so I settled on the taco flight to be able to try as many of the meats as possible. Solid choice! That pork belly tho! :D My friend let me try a bite of the chicken enchiladas and they were probably some of the best I've had! Dont forget to check in on Yelp to redeem your free order of churros (4 pieces come in an order so if you aren't good at sharing, have other people in your party do it too haha). I love this place cannot recommend more I love the shishito peppers and the bone marrow tacos as well to start. Get yourself a margarita flight and take a trip and enjoy some amazing margaritas. I always get some pork belly tacos but have lately been super partial to the queso pulpo tacos and let me tell you I don't like fish. Come here try it you'll be amazed and ask for Katty she'll treat you right. read more

as soon as you walk in, there's extremely loud music blaring at all times and makes it a bit difficult for order taking and conversation. would be great with a group of people getting drinks but not ideal for a date or family outing. got the quesabirria tacos which were pretty good and the best part of our experience. might come back for a drink outing but that's it. read more

We were sat quickly. Music for our taste was tooooooo loud. Just play music so people can enjoy it. We almost left. It's not a night club so let people enjoy the music while eating. Then a dj came and played music and videos in a screen. At least his music was not as loud. I had enchiladas which were not that great. The rice was terrible. It tasted like an attempt at fried rice. We also had a cheeseburger which came with fries. The burger was not tasty and we ended up throwing most of it away. The quesadilla was good. For the price the portion was very good. It doesn't come with a side but rice would be nice. Also had a burrito and paid an extra $2 to make it wet. It was barely wet and the green sauce was not great. We got the churro desert for free because we checked in. This was the best thing we had. The ice cream on it was good. Unfortunately we would not return because too many of the dishes we did not enjoy. Service was fine. read more

Don't let the Strip mall fool you this was a cute place. Met friends after work for drinks and dinner on a Friday night. I do not drink but they had a yummy cucumber lemonade that was a refreshing change from ordinary cola. We ended up just ordering several appetizers. The apps were good as were the portions. Only downside for our group was at 8:00 o'clock a DJ came on which made it almost impossible to hear one another. I will be back read more

This was our 1st time here & it was my Birthday so I asked our server Mario if they the Tomahawk dinner because it wasn't on the menu that was given to us & he said it's on their brunch menu but he would ask & came back with a yes I may order it.. It was so tasty & delicious & our drinks where Awesome. Mario was an Awesome server very attentive & he also brought me & nice tequila shot to go also with my churros & ice cream dessert .. Unfortunately, not impressed. The establishment looks worn down inside. Booths torn up, holes in ceiling.....server was friendly but could hardly hear us with the loud music (at 10am on a Sunday for brunch?). Food was subpar. I order the huevos con chorizo (which all chorizo plates are soyrizo) served with French fries as "house potatoes" with ketchup packets. Just seems odd. The eggs Benedict was served on hamburger buns? All of it just seemed odd and flavors were just okay for a somewhat expensive meal. We did not try any beverages. We will not be back :( read more

After seeing this spot on yelp a few times me and my boyfriend decided to give it a shot . First impression, the hostess was nice & quick to seat us . Outdoor seating is available ofcourse during COVID which this heat doesn't make this any better BUT the service was great . Our waitress Cynthia was down to earth and on top of it ,she made sure we were taken care of . The drinks were delicious , I highly recommend the cucumber margaritas. The food was delicious as you can see in the picture I had the compadre sushi roll and it was bomb , murder was the case on it! Lol we ordered 2 fish tacos and 1 shrimp ceviche tostada also . Fish tacos were a good size and good taste and the shrimp ceviche also delicious , enough to share between 2 people . Overall I give this spot 5 stars they are managing great during this pandemic and all the waitresses were nice and attentive. We will definitely be back! read more

The food is honestly the best Mexican fusion.... Maybe even some of the best Mexican food in general that I've had. The drinks are fairly price and exciting! However, Daniel, the server/waiter is and absolutely amazing. He created the most welcoming atmosphere I've encountered in an establishment. I really hope this review reaches someone in upper management or ownership. I want to start with how much I enjoyed my pork belly tacos and my watermelon margarita. The food and atmosphere are wonderful. However my partner is allergic to dairy and when he ordered his surf and turf burrito he asked for no cheese. It came with cheese on it and we asked the server to take it back and bring one without cheese which was totally fine and not the issue at all. The issue is that nowhere on the menu does it say what kind of sauce goes on the burrito when you order it wet. And we did not expect the sauce to be a creamy sauce. My partner didn't want to send the burrito back a second time because we already had to send it back once and we didn't not want to be an issue. He scraped the sauce off the top and ate the burrito anyways but did not enjoy it and ended up sick. I just want it to be known that it's important to describe the menu items thoroughly on the menu so that issues like this do not happen. If the menu would simply state what kind of sauce comes on the wet burrito then we would've had a better experience. read more

Do not go here for drinks! They are super weak it feels as if you are drinking juice or water. The service was super slow. It took about 10-15 minutes to get our drinks and almost an hour to get our food. The waiter would not come around often and check up on us, only when we would call her over or call someone to call her she would come. We spent 2 hrs here because the service was so slow. However, the food was alright not the best but not the worst either. read more

This place is now in my top favorite places when I travel down the hill!!! The food had amazing presentation and tasted amazing! This is truly not a only looks good place! Drinks also good presentation well served and literally made me feel I need to come back to try the rest of the menu!!! Found this gem through yelp and it had rave reviews. Definitely lived up to all the hype. Not only was the food delicious but the service was amazing. The music was great and the ambiance was perfect! Came Saturday night but had to make a stop Sunday afternoon before the 3 hour drive back home. Manuel, Leslie, Jose and Janette were very welcoming and had beautiful energy. Easy to say I will be returning with my friends and or family. Highly recommend! read more

I had an exceptional experience at this place! The food and drinks were absolutely fantastic. The carne asada fries and surf and turf burrito were standout choices that I highly recommend. The service provided was top-notch as well, with our waitress, Suzette, being incredibly kind and attentive. we were seated in the bar and our server did a great job. I ordered a caribbean salad and my wife ordered a triple dipper appetizer. Our food was good and our drinks were refilled. Our server made a real effort to make sure were were doing well. We've been to this location a number of times. This particular trip was good. We were in and out quickly. Our bill for 2 adults before tip was $30. I would go back to this location again. read more

This was my first visit and we will definitely be coming back. The portions were good size, the flavor was amazing, and their margarita flight was delicious. We came to celebrate my sons birthday and you get a sombrero plus they sing. They made sure to get the substitutions correct and someone was always coming around checking in the table. Tried this Mexican restaurant tucked away in a shopping center after finding it on Yelp. Decided to give it a chance, and I'm glad I did. The food was flavorful and well-prepared, and the service was friendly and attentive. The only downside was the mixed drinks--they were on the weak side with a very light pour. Yoooooo! Mar & Tierra (Surf and turf) tacos are lit!!!!!! The pork belly tacos were also a hit! Taquitos are bomb as a starter as well. I like the presentation of the food and the waitress we had was very polite and good looking ;) would come back for sure. There is outside seating too!!! This spot is AMAZING! The Music is poppin! Really Brings the Place to Life! Their Bone Marrow Tacos & Birria Tacos were so good, very flavorful ! We were seated and our server, which I didn't catch his name because maybe I saw him twice, was rude pushy and very unattended to us. The time was approximately 9 PM on Sat evening, and I was told that it was open till at least 11 but maybe 10. My wife ordered Café de la Olla, and was definitely disappointed as she told our server this isn't café De La Olla. His reply was oh yes, I know we only make it with just cinnamon as opposed to the other ingredients that are essential for a very good cup of Café de la olla. He said that it was too late and that they could not make any more to which she said well forget it. I don't want any coffee at all then. You would think they put it on the menu. This is served up to X time or whatever but no, they let us know that they were not willing to make her a cup of cafe de la olla. After taking orders, we began eating and my friends wife, had a shrimp cocktail, after a couple bites, she realized what she was eating with squid and mentioned to her husband. This isn't shrimp. This is a cocktail de pulpo, which is squid. He returned with the correct one, but definitely had an attitude. We no longer saw him not even to have our waters refilled. When we are done, I got up to go pay the bill and inquired if there was a manager there. A gentleman with a long sleeve shirt that appeared to be a manager was there and I asked him if he was so. He said he was, and when I commented him about the server, who was there not only serving but charging and collecting the money, he said well I'm the manager, but this guy is one in charge because he's related to the ownership of some sort. So I replied, so he's the one that is really in charge and he said yes. I called the next day, Sunday, around noon and spoke to someone and asked if I could speak to the manager. He told me his name which was Ricardo, and I asked by chance to see the one that was there last night and he said yes. And I asked him if there is someone higher up that I may speak with which his reply was no there wasn't.. I gave my name and number and asked if he can return my call which is right now 12:45 on Monday, he has not bothered to call me. I wanted to give him a heads up that I was going to put a bad review on Yelp, but I guess he didn't even think it was important enough for him to call me back. There is another Mexican restaurant in my area, that not too long changed ownership. Where the servers are connected to the ownership and they themselves also have very bad attitudes in what is definitely a I'm entitled attitude, which also gives bad service. When I heard that this guy at Gloria was related to the ownership I summized that's why he's like that. No accountability. As I said, previously, the food had gone from bad to worse, and I even asked ouwaiter if they had changed the cook, which is reply with no. This will definitely be the last time not only that we go there but that we recommend to anyone. That's a shame because it was at one time, a very good restaurant. For anyone that is reading this save your money and go somewhere which I don't either. Do they appreciate you but give you better food. My friend honestly said we should've gone to Denny's.
