Dr. Raymond has saved my cat's life twice now…read more Last summer, her original vet told me to put her down. Instead, I got a second opinion from Dr. Raymond, and he saved her life. When I was calling animal hospitals back then, I was being quoted close to $2,000 a day just for hospitalization, not including treatment. Finding Dr. Raymond was honestly a blessing. Recently, I thought my cat was bloated, so I took her to her old vet because it was closer (by 3 hours). They did bloodwork and X-rays, then basically told me they didn't know what was wrong but that the prognosis was bad. The next day, I took her to Dr. Raymond and showed him the bloodwork and X-rays. He took one look and immediately knew it was pyometra and that she needed emergency surgery. No guessing. No waiting around. He knew exactly what was wrong. What really blows my mind is that I spent less on her emergency surgery with Dr. Raymond than I spent at the first vet, who couldn't even diagnose her. They even charged me for a radiologist to review her X-rays and then didn't call me back for 10 days. Ten days. Had I not taken her to Dr. Raymond, she could have died overnight. Getting that call 10 days later was infuriating. I don't even want to think about what would have happened if I didn't know Dr. Raymond. He is incredibly knowledgeable, straightforward, and genuinely caring. When other vets have missed the mark completely, he has gotten it right. Twice. I trust Dr. Raymond with my cat's life because, quite literally, he has already saved it twice. And somehow he's managed to do it without bankrupting me in the process, which feels increasingly rare in veterinary medicine these days.

The swelling was getting worse and that's when I decided to make call to a local veterinarian, Jefferson Park Veterinary Clinic. They had no urgent care but pointed us in the direction of Folsom Ranch Veterinary Hospital. They calmly explained to me that getting Luna care was very important. They had availability since they're an urgent care facility so we made plans to take Luna. The hospital itself is located right off the freeway. It's beautiful inside. Very clean and welcoming. The friendly staff at the front desk got us checked in and we waited. They came and got Luna and told us they were going to get care started. The wait was a bit long but they were very busy with tending to other 4 legged friends. But they also constantly checked on us while giving us updates. The doctor came in to tell us that Luna needed an X Ray along with some other tests to determine the severity of her injury. She assured us that Luna would be good with them and under very good care. She encouraged us to go nearby and grab some dinner and before we know it they'd be calling with an update. My fiancee was still very nervous and had wished we could see Luna. Although we didn't see her I understood that this was normal. Flash forward an hour and 15 minutes we got a call that Luna was ready to come home. Thank God! We were still very nervous as we had not seen Luna since they're took her to the back but as soon as we got to the back room the doctor and assistant brought Luna In her little carrier. She was very subdued thanks to the meds they got her on. But she was calm and it was obvious she was extremely cared for. She had her left leg shaved to determine if there were any punctures or sting bites. But she was cleared to come home. They charged me $475 total and they ended up removing 6 teeth! The drive from sacramento was definitely worth it and they are usually pretty busy so be aware you may schedule your appointment a month or 2 prior before they could get you in. Also drop off is between 8-9 and i would recommend you get there at 8 to avoid waiting longer for your fur baby to be ready to come home. I dropped off my kitty at 8 15 am and she was ready to be picked up by 1 pm which was perfect since we stayed out there for the day due to the drive but again it was well worth it i will be taking my cats there again, thank you so so so much to all of the staff, they even called me the next day to make sure she was doing well.

Every single person I met was so kind, compassionate, and genuinely cared about my dog. You can tell they do this because they love helping animals and the people who love them. My dog had severe Stage 4 periodontal disease and was in so much pain. He needed a lot of dental work and many extractions. I had been calling vet after vet, but every estimate was far beyond what I could afford. As someone with a limited income, I felt completely helpless. It broke my heart knowing he was suffering while I was desperately trying to figure out how to help him. This clinic gave me hope when I felt like I had run out of options. Not only did they take amazing care of my dog, but their prices made it possible for me to get him the treatment he desperately needed. Even with all of his extractions, the total was less than $600, including antibiotics and pain medication. I honestly couldn't believe it. Because of this clinic, my dog no longer has to live in constant pain. That means more to me than words can ever express. Thank you for giving people like me the chance to care for the pets we love so much without having to go into overwhelming debt. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for everything you do. Upon calling this place, I was met with a hostile person, a female, I won't put their name here as I feel they will know who I'm speaking about without me needing to embarrass them. Actually I think anyone that has dealt with you knows who you are. Case in point; the person, the amazingly kind person who did help our sweet old kitty pass, knew exactly who I was talking about when I told them the experience we had dealing with you. What a damn shame that you have a reputation for not being nice, especially in the line of work you are in. Losing a pet is already one of the hardest times that a family has to go through. But when you also have to make that decision to end your pets suffering, well it becomes even more difficult. I understand that you might have been "busy", but you picked this line of work, which I truly don't think fits you, but again I'm me and you're you. It isn't hard to be KIND. Especially when death of a pet is the topic. It's not hard to have empathy. It's so easy to listen and even pretend to care. For the benefit of the next people that contact you to help them, no matter if the animal is small, try and be nice. And if you don't want to help the small animals, then take it OFF your website that you do, because you aren't doing anyone any favors by having it listed and then acting like it's a chore to help those little guys. it's crazy that after the way you spoke to me you had the audacity to ask if you should put us on the books? Be nice. Take pride in the work that you do do, because I'm sure you are good at what you do. My dog is shy & anxious but she let Dr. Stamm examine her -- I have a Great Pyrenees and some vet are afraid of her because of her size. Dogs know when people are afraid of them, and she must have had a calm demeanor. I love the holistic approach to vet care (they still have full vet services) and I specifically sought out this place. Both my dog and cat visit this location and they love the pet doctors here. Today, 2/13/26, had to pick up flea and heartworm medications for my dog and flea medication for my cat.
