My dog had severe Stage 4 periodontal disease and was in so much pain. He needed a lot of dental work and many extractions. I had been calling vet after vet, but every estimate was far beyond what I could afford. As someone with a limited income, I felt completely helpless. It broke my heart knowing he was suffering while I was desperately trying to figure out how to help him. This clinic gave me hope when I felt like I had run out of options. Not only did they take amazing care of my dog, but their prices made it possible for me to get him the treatment he desperately needed. Even with all of his extractions, the total was less than $600, including antibiotics and pain medication. I honestly couldn't believe it. Because of this clinic, my dog no longer has to live in constant pain. That means more to me than words can ever express. We took our dog there to have a lipoma removed from behind her left ear. The surgery was performed for $605.00 total. Her previous vet had said it was benign and not to worry about it. But when it appeared to be growing we decided to look into getting it removed. Our groomer recommended Placerville Animal Surgery for low cost and good results. Results have been fantastic. Our dog was fully recovered immediately after the surgery and hasn't looked back. She is as happy as a new puppy despite being over 8 years old!No problems whatsoever, hair growing back nicely, she runs and jumps and plays as she never did before. This place including all of the staff are so wonderful i truly cant thank them enough! I was quoted $1,700 for only 2 of my cats teeth to be extracted at another vet, so i went down the rabbit hole searching for other more affordable options and i found this place thank god! They charged me $475 total and they ended up removing 6 teeth! The drive from sacramento was definitely worth it and they are usually pretty busy so be aware you may schedule your appointment a month or 2 prior before they could get you in. Also drop off is between 8-9 and i would recommend you get there at 8 to avoid waiting longer for your fur baby to be ready to come home. I dropped off my kitty at 8 15 am and she was ready to be picked up by 1 pm which was perfect since we stayed out there for the day due to the drive but again it was well worth it i will be taking my cats there again, thank you so so so much to all of the staff, they even called me the next day to make sure she was doing well. read more

Yesterday a friend and I took a stray cat into Placerville animal surgery center for a dental. The woman who has been feeding him said he could hardly eat and was only eating baby food and KMR. Turns out he has stomatitis and had 18 teeth removed!!! They gave him fluids and a pain shot. We also had them do a rabies shot. They sent him home with antibiotics, gabapentin, and pain meds. The total bill came to $495. At most vets this would have been $2000. or more. The cat is doing great today. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I can't say enough about the staff. Both of our dogs needed teeth cleaning. Our personal vet as well as many others in the area was very expensive. I had heard about Placerville Animal Surgery Center and that they did a great job with dentals. Although it was about a 45 minute drive each way, it was well worth it! My Gracie, swallowed some sort of seed while I was on vacation and my parents were doggy sitting. Her spirit started to decline and I originally took her VCA in Rancho Cordova. I have pet insurance for her, but that place was truly extorting money for services. They even suggested to euthanizing her (Absolutely Not !) I ended up taking her home to figure things out. The staff was so helpful, and communicative about the documents for their diagnosis and to see if the surgery was something they could do. I immediately sent all of her paperwork and they were able to squeeze her in the next day. OMG, I wanted to cry ! I am so happy I had her surgery completed here. The consult was $20 and I paid for surgery costs separately , all medication was $20 , but had to pay another $20 for the antibiotics, (which was not a big deal.) I can't thank Dr Raymond, and the staff at the surgery center enough for the care they have provided our animals. We adopted a pup with a leg that never developed- and knew it would need to be amputated. The surgery went beautiful, the recovery time was flawless, and the scar is so minimal and her hair grew back way faster than any other place we saw. We did our research on amputation and saw crazy scars from various other places - and we could not be any more thrilled with how things went. I could not afford a surgery with my previous vet. The surgery center actually did two for my cat. His bladder was so cut up and thickened that he ended up not making it anyway. But that was from years of my not taking care of a problem, NOT from the surgery center. Since that cat died, I have continued to bring my pets to the surgery center for dentals and other things... I have so much trust with this crew. They don't have all the fancy equipment that many of your more expensive vets would have, and they do not have the ability to keep your animals overnight. But he gives you his email to reach out to him if you have a concern. How many vets do that? The crazy hours and limited machinery are part of why they can keep the prices down. F**k this place and everyone that works there!! THEY KILLED MY DOG! They may be decently priced, but the price cost me the life I loved more than anything on this earth!! I took my dog there to get SAVED, and an hour after I got home he died...THEY KILLED MY DOG!! My dog got diagnosed with bone cancer a week ago, and 5 days after I got the diagnosis took him here to get his affected leg amputated to stop the spread because that's what my vet said needed to be done. This place did the amputation in just 2 hours, and sent him home 2 hours after his surgery...HE LOST A LIMB AND THEY SENT HIM HOME!!! THEY COULD HAVE SUGGESTED A HOSPITAL FOR ME TO TAKE HIM TOO AFTER! He needed to be monitored!!! I live an hour away from this place and my last day with my boy was me having to give him cpr to try and save his life when this unprofessional place should have recommended a hospital for him to stay at!!! My dog wasn't supposed to die..they were supposed to save him, not kill him. They refunded me half of what I paid "for my pain and suffering" verbatim that is what they said. They messed with the wrong animal mom here, I will do everything in power to receive the justice that I deserve!!
