This place including all of the staff are so wonderful i truly cant thank them enough! I was quoted $1,700 for only 2 of my cats teeth to be extracted at another vet, so i went down the rabbit hole searching for other more affordable options and i found this place thank god! They charged me $475 total and they ended up removing 6 teeth! The drive from sacramento was definitely worth it and they are usually pretty busy so be aware you may schedule your appointment a month or 2 prior before they could get you in. Also drop off is between 8-9 and i would recommend you get there at 8 to avoid waiting longer for your fur baby to be ready to come home. I dropped off my kitty at 8 15 am and she was ready to be picked up by 1 pm which was perfect since we stayed out there for the day due to the drive but again it was well worth it i will be taking my cats there again, thank you so so so much to all of the staff, they even called me the next day to make sure she was doing well. read more

I truly can't thank this place enough. Finding them felt like an answer to my prayers. I drove over an hour to get here, and I would gladly drive even farther if I had to. Every single person I met was so kind, compassionate, and genuinely cared about my dog. You can tell they do this because they love helping animals and the people who love them. My dog had severe Stage 4 periodontal disease and was in so much pain. He needed a lot of dental work and many extractions. I had been calling vet after vet, but every estimate was far beyond what I could afford. As someone with a limited income, I felt completely helpless. It broke my heart knowing he was suffering while I was desperately trying to figure out how to help him. This clinic gave me hope when I felt like I had run out of options. Not only did they take amazing care of my dog, but their prices made it possible for me to get him the treatment he desperately needed. Even with all of his extractions, the total was less than $600, including antibiotics and pain medication. I honestly couldn't believe it. Dr Raymond, Sir you are an amazing Doctor. My litter Morkie couldn't walk and needed surgery to secure and attach her kneecap that popped out. After waiting a couple hours, I was able to see him. He watched her try and walk and felt her leg and knee and knew exactly what the problem was. I said how soon can we schedule a surgery appt and he went and looked at his schedule and said Monday and without even knowing the cost I said book it. We took our dog there to have a lipoma removed from behind her left ear. The surgery was performed for $605.00 total. Her previous vet had said it was benign and not to worry about it. But when it appeared to be growing we decided to look into getting it removed. Our groomer recommended Placerville Animal Surgery for low cost and good results. Results have been fantastic. Our dog was fully recovered immediately after the surgery and hasn't looked back. She is as happy as a new puppy despite being over 8 years old!No problems whatsoever, hair growing back nicely, she runs and jumps and plays as she never did before. Yesterday a friend and I took a stray cat into Placerville animal surgery center for a dental. The woman who has been feeding him said he could hardly eat and was only eating baby food and KMR. Turns out he has stomatitis and had 18 teeth removed!!! They gave him fluids and a pain shot. We also had them do a rabies shot. They sent him home with antibiotics, gabapentin, and pain meds. The total bill came to $495. At most vets this would have been $2000. or more. The cat is doing great today. I can't say enough about the staff. They were friendly, check in went smoothly, and they called this morning to see how he was doing. We really need a place for low-cost dental. We trapped a feral cat with an eye injury this morning and no local low cost clinics in Our county could see him. Placerville surgery center gave us an appointment and saw the cat right away. Our cat had a foxtail in his eye which they were able to remove and save his eye. They also neutered him . The price was less than 200.00 which included medication for home care. If your pet needs a life saving emergency surgery, please don't go anywhere else. From the staff, communication , Dr. costs, this place was nothing short of AMAZING !!! My Gracie, swallowed some sort of seed while I was on vacation and my parents were doggy sitting. Her spirit started to decline and I originally took her VCA in Rancho Cordova. I have pet insurance for her, but that place was truly extorting money for services. They even suggested to euthanizing her (Absolutely Not !) I ended up taking her home to figure things out. I called around and someone suggested surgery center in Placerville . The staff was so helpful, and communicative about the documents for their diagnosis and to see if the surgery was something they could do. I immediately sent all of her paperwork and they were able to squeeze her in the next day. OMG, I wanted to cry ! I am so happy I had her surgery completed here. It was very fast I took her home the same day. The consult was $20 and I paid for surgery costs separately , all medication was $20 , but had to pay another $20 for the antibiotics, (which was not a big deal.) Both of our dogs needed teeth cleaning. Our personal vet as well as many others in the area was very expensive. I had heard about Placerville Animal Surgery Center and that they did a great job with dentals. Although it was about a 45 minute drive each way, it was well worth it! The people that worked in this office were very thorough. They asked questions to get to know both our dogs. They also were happy to answer any questions we had. We chose to include bloodwork with our dentals just to rule out any problems with anesthesia. When we came back for pick up, they went over the details of the blood work, and the dentals for both of our pups. I can't thank Dr Raymond, and the staff at the surgery center enough for the care they have provided our animals. We adopted a pup with a leg that never developed- and knew it would need to be amputated. The surgery went beautiful, the recovery time was flawless, and the scar is so minimal and her hair grew back way faster than any other place we saw. We did our research on amputation and saw crazy scars from various other places - and we could not be any more thrilled with how things went.
