OMG! If I could give Armen and his business 10000000 stars I would. He was awesome, friendly and I walked out with a working AC on a warm March day! I had taken my car to another local mechanic that had previously done work on my car. With this issue, the guy had my car for about 3 days and couldn't tell me what was wrong only letting me know that it was an electrical issue (whatever that means!) and that he would call me the following day with a recommendation. Well needless to say, I didn't hear from him so onto Yelp I went. After looking around, I came across Complete Auto Surgery. The reviews were great so I called Armen and told him I was on my way. (It's a bit difficult to find - in the cut - behind a car wash), but once through the "express line" it's right there. After explaining my issue to him, he told he would take a a look. Literally, he started as soon as I sat down and within 30 minutes he let me know what the problem was - not electrical at all! I left my car around 130pm and by the end of the day it was done. He charged me alot less than I was expecting and was so gracious and kind. On a side note, his "office" is a converted shipping container that is GREAT - clean, tidy, wooden floors and shelves! The honest side of me wants to praise about how awesome this place is and the bad side of me wants me to not talk about this place because I don't want anyone to know how awesome this place is! It was a Sunday morning and the headlight on the wifeys car blew out due to a wiring issue. We live in the valley and she has to drive to Beverly Hills to work and was concerned about said issue and driving with a blown headlight on Monday. Now most shops are closed on Sundays and we were feeling defeated until I stumbled upon Armen and his shop being open so I called him about my situation and he told me to stop by. Not only did he fix the wiring issue but he also washed the car, vacuumed the inside, armor alled the tires and fixed a burnt out license plate light free of charge!! This place is tucked away hidden behind a carwash and easy to miss. Are you kidding me?! I am first to review. I am very honored. *****This would be a ten star review if I could***** It was 98 degrees out today, yep, 98. This whole week has been in the 90's. My air in my car broke mid week. I commute over an hour each way. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday were, quite literally, hell. I didn't leave Saturday, and today is SUNDAY. I could not get my car to my mechanic due to location/timing. On the phone my regular mechanic warned me if it was a compressor I may be looking at $900. I was sitting in traffic with hair tied back and perspiration all over me to every appointment all week. Horrible, horrible week, heat baking my car. So I thought, "Heck, I will buy a new car" and I started to look. I mentioned this to my neighbor and he said, "Just go down to Woodman, drive into the car wash and drive into the very back of the car wash, right past it. There is a great guy named Armen. He is there 7 days a week and he is amazing, go ask him." So, after yoga, all hot and sweaty, looking like doo doo, I did so. Armen and Greg Arakelyan greeted me with big warm smiles as I maneuvered my little old Volvo through rows of limos and Mercedes. Armen is a big flirt. Sweet as they get though and his little location back there is spotless and organized. He speaks Russian, I believe Armenian and English. They offered me a cold drink and went to work analyzing my air conditioning problem while I sat like a wet rat on their couch, panting from the heat. They did not give up, they took about 2 hours because they were not satisfied that they had identified the issue. They tinkered and hooked up equipment and computers and used a pen gadget that lit up. They truly are car surgeons. The environment is one of car surgery, clean, organized and perfectionism clearly reigns. They ruled out the compressor and freon and sought to sort out what the electrical issue was, they hooked up various things. Told me the air was now running but since they could not be sure where the disconnect was (they switched electric charges from horn somehow, and now air runs and yeah horn still honks) they were not going to charge me anything. WHAT? it's 98 degrees out, they fix my air and do not charge me - WHAT??? Now I may still get a new car but there is no pressure. These guys are beyond. Beyond. CAR HEROS. Saved me. Armen is amazing and his business is above and beyond. I stumbled upon his shop from a yelp search close to my house and it was a complete God send!! He works very clean and very fast. His shop is spotless and meticulously clean, which definitely shows in his work. It has never taken him longer than 2 hours to fix my car and when I arrive to pick it up he gives me a detailed rundown (with a practical demonstration) about what was wrong and how he fixed it. He even gave me a free car wash! I think the biggest plus is that I can TRUST him in that his work is thorough and I can call him with any car problem I have and he will give me an honest diagnosis. Unexpectedly my water pump went out on my 2004 Chevy Tahoe. It was a Saturday afternoon and I needed it fixed right since I was rapidly leaking coolant. I've been going to Armen for over a year and can't speak highly enough about the consistently amazing experience. I recently had to get my air conditioner fixed after that 100+ degree heatwave. Armen had this brand new fancy diagnostic computer that identified a crack. He told me he would call me when he found the part but wanted to call around for the best price. He called me the very next day in the evening to tell me he got it and to come back on Monday. He replaced the part and all of the freon and then ran an additional diagnostic just to make sure it was working properly. AND he charged me less than the other consult I got. I would give Armen 10 stars if I could!! I brought my 2001 Tacoma to him with 155K miles and Valve gasket issues, shocks, brakes and a clogged air conditioner drain at the end of May. Armen was a personal referral and I decided to try him out. I had been going to a local NoHo dealership and was tired/angered by the repeated upsell and the "urgent issues" that needed to be addressed and were part of their upsell. Not only was he accommodating, he was through, addressed all my concerns, was reasonably priced, had the truck completed when he said it would be ready and he was low key---no pressure with add on things to do for the truck. He did identify that the spark plugs had not been changed for a very long time (and remember the truck had been at the dealership for every recommended service....) so he changed all of them as part of the service. My truck came back to me not only riding like new but the engine was as clean as new! He patiently showed me all the parts so that I could see what he had done and why he had done it. His work area is immaculate, repeat IMMACULATE and so well organized. He is kind (hand feeds a squirrel that visits), thoughtful and a delightful person not just a great mechanic.
