Friendly , Fast, and Reliable Computer Repair! I had such a great experience with CompuTech ! I was referred by a friend a while ago and also occasionally there's a cafe I go to next door. My old Mac Pro laptop seemed like it was at the end of its life, so I remembered them and went to seek some answers. From the moment I came in the CompuTech place , the team was kind, patient, and professional. They quickly diagnosed the issue with my explained everything clearly, and gave me an honest estimate. With all the work and the age of my computer, they offered me an alternative. I ended up buying one of their used laptops ( another similar newer model Mac Pro) that was newer than mine and overall would make better sense as an investment in the end. So they would transfer the data over from my old computer. It was a great deal. What really stood out was how fast they were able to turn it around - they fixed it sooner than expected, saved my data and I was so happy. Just recently after purchasing the laptop from them, I am a teacher with a lot of students & earlier that day I had used the computer but when I got it home it wasn't turning on-there was no power... It was weird! . So, I took it in and they said they would have a look and get back to me since it did not immediately turn on. They quickly got back to me and let me know it was an issue with my mother board, they told the usual fix for this was about $275 but that they would only charge $125 because I had purchased it from them. I thought that was fair. I reached out again a few days later and they said it was more complicated- apparently some liquid had gotten in there and they had more serious repairs to make. Knowing this information really freaked me out because it's my main computer that I use at my office/school/at home. I was very concerned. They took a little more time to repair and I understood why. I was honestly expecting for them to charge me more, but they were kind enough to stand by their original quote. I saw that the time and labor actually was $375 & I was so appreciative of them doing such great service. My computer was back to normal (whew!) and they even followed up afterward to make sure everything was working perfectly. It's rare to find such knowledgeable, caring, thorough yet affordable service these days. Came here from a different repair shop, staff was awesome! My Macbook Pro was not turning on, even after charging it. I noticed the charger would not light up to indicate it worked. I had issues connecting to the internet with my Dell desktop after installing RAM on Thanksgiving Day, so I looked to Yelp for help. There was one review that mentioned don't bother taking your computer to the big box stores as you will just be lost in the numbers, but instead give CompuTech a call for prompt, personalized service. So, I did on Black Friday. Leo answered and told me to bring my computer in. I thought it will be a day or two before receiving a diagnosis. Within 2 hours, I got the diagnosis and solution. I was given options of just WIFI replacement or full motherboard replacement, since the network interface was built-in on Dell's motherboard. Fortunately for me I chose the full motherboard replacement since my sound card was also compromised. He estimated with the holiday weekend for the motherboard to arrive early the following week. True to his estimate, I received a call from Leo that my computer was fixed and ready for pickup on Wednesday. I arrived to pickup that evening and met the owner Ash. The price was what was quoted and agreed. He offered to power up my computer to demonstrate it was working, as he mentioned that Leo also fixed an operating system issue as part of the service. Unfortunately, the same operating bug appeared. He asked if I had anything important on the computer, as he believed that a clean install of Windows 11 would be the better option for future stability. I agreed to his solution and left my computer in his care, since I had already backed up my important files on my external hard drive. He told me not to worry as it was part of the service they provide. I called two days later and Ash told me it was working well and ready for pickup. When I arrived for pickup, he showed me my machine working and asked how I wanted it configured. He took the time and care to ensure that I was a satisfied customer, which I was. Amazing service!! This was the only repair shop in the area that was able to repair my LG Ultrafine Monitor thunderbolt port. The port had come loose from the motherboard and they were able to solder it back on. Apparently this is a very common problem with LG monitors as the port is fixed onto the motherboard at a 90 degree angle, making it prone to getting pulled off. I called about 10 shops in the Long Beach area and this was the only place that was able to do it. Service was timely, took only about a week to fix, and price was reasonable at $160, vs having to buy another $1300 monitor all together since my monitor was out of warranty and an official repair through LG would've cost much more.
