Came here on MLK to see if I can fulfill my conch salad craving and just to get a snack. We ordered a conch salad and conch fritters. the conch salad, they dont skimp, and it is good! Very authentic from what I had while visiting bahamas more during cruise season while living in SoFlo (iykyk). There is a lot of conch in every bite. The flavor is refreshing, enough citrus to bring out the sweet essence of the conch, not fishy very fresh, it has a kick to it from the spicy peppers, but that can be adjusted I assume, but I am a firm believer of trying everything the first time as the chef intends it to taste like, it was good, definitely would order again. The conch fritters, I am not usually a fritter fan bc all too often the batter is too dense, but let me tell you, the fritters were bussin! They were airy, fluffy, not try and dense and a lot of conch in it as well! The sauce was really good with it would definitely order again. The young lady at the register was super sweet snd very nice. Will definitely be back to try the rest of their menu. I rate it 5 because of the food and the customer service. It is meant to be more take out style it seems, so dont expect white sleeve service. However if you want a no frills no bs, hole in the wall with great food and nice people taking care of you. I've been seeing this place for a while but never tried it. While I was eating at a nearby restaurant I walked over to order the conch fritters & Guava duff. Unfortunately they were out of the Guava duff but I ordered the 6 piece Conch fritters. As seen in the picture there are only 4 conch fritters because I ate two before I remembered to take a picture. This was my first time trying conch fritters and they were really good. It came with a sauce that I didn't try because it tasted great by itself. It reminds me of saltfish fritters that we eat in Jamaica The lady that took my order was really welcoming and friendly. Horrible visit this evening at your ATL LOCATION. I drove from Lawrenceville. Arrived 8:25pm only to be told they were closed. The website and the hours on the door says 9:00pm. There is no place visibly printed that you stop taking orders at 8:30pm. I've been here too many times and never turned away. It appears to me a new team in town. I had the jerk chicken and rice & peas, and it was the best jerk chicken I've ever had, and I've been on vacation in Jamaica twice. If ai had to describe it, I'd say it was like calamari inside of a hush puppy I liked it, but I started thinking I should have gone with a boulder choice, like the conch soup or conch salad. So, Conch Heaven has always been one of my favorite Bahamian restaurants when I want conch. :-) I've been to 3 locations, but this one only for conch salad and it was delicious. My favorite location is the one in Miami, across the street from Miami Dade College. But, I was in the area over here so I decided to pick up some conch salad. Very quaint, nice place. Walked in to order for take out. 15 mins and food was still hot after arriving home. Conch fritters were good. A nice crunchy bite with a soft, fluffy interior. Jerk chicken was flavorful and had a perfect kick of spice. It was my favorite dish! The oxtail was really good. Quite tender and flavorful. I liked the sauce it came with. "Forgiveness" is defined as "an intentional decision to let go of resentment and anger..." Now the last visit was a total disaster! No rice and peas (traumatizing), among other things, just bad. Today? Spot on! They were open on time, prompt and ready to serve some great food. The service was excellent too. I ordered my usual cracked conch, rice and peas, cabbage and plantains. All was good but the plantains needed a little work. They were not necessarily bad, just on the dry side. I used a little lemon juice, brown sugar and cinnamon to "revive" or "Cuban" them up LOL and they were great! I wanted to get conch fritters but did not. They seemed a bit pricey but practically everything is now. Not to worry, my cracked conch dinner was MORE than enough. Hey so i went here yesterday for lunch trying to try something new so i tried fried conch for the first time ever not bad at all much better then the raw conch with all the seasons this place had it cooked to order so it's a little bit of a wait till 15/20 mins if you walk in but very pricey of you ask me i spent $17 on one meal conch fries and a drink . I only order one thing the Conch salad from Conch Haven. It's prepared fresh, the same way, which is a nod to the kitchen, barely visible from the restaurant area. No way to mess up my order of two orders of Conch salad. There is a menu that I haven't tried, maybe one day. I loved the food, hated the prices. I get it, conch is expensive but sheesh. I had the crack conch, cabbage and plantains. The cabbage was the best I've ever eaten ANYWHERE. I was mad at the skimpy portions for the high price. Hubby got the jerk chicken over rice and peas, cabbage, and festivals. They featured the smallest drumstick tops (you can see where they'd been cut) for a dinner portion ever but they were tasty. The festivals were too chewy though, unlike the light and flaky ones we were accustomed to from other Caribbean food establishments. I went in to get the famous conch fritters. A lot of people on social media have been raving about them. I ordered to go and got the conch fritters and fried shrimp. It didn't take long. I decided to go to Hansel and Gretel to get some Asian goodies for the family. When I got home, I tried the food. I can tell you this - both are delicious!! The family tore them both up!! Their fried conch is so good. Clean tasting but fried to satisfaction! They fry to order also. So good. Just a typical take out style kind of place. There is high top area you can stay to eat but not much space. I wish I was able to try other foods here. But the fried conch was delicious and the lady was very patient and nice. read more
