What they did not tell me that they were only electric heating contractors. So after paying $12,000.00 for installation I now pay an electric bill of $1000.00 a month in the winter. They walked by a brand new gas system in my home..disengaged a second gas heating 50 feet away and installed a unit that is costing me a thousand dollars a month. Not one of the employees ...installers. or project estimators...addressed what a poor and unkind decision this was. Now I have to redo my heating system...sell my house...unable to retire . Would they do the same to their mothers..grandmothers? This is a sad and sorry company. Yes I know I'm a stupid elderly woman with no recourse from people like this. While we dread the delivery, Patriot is always very friendly to speak to, with that true neighborhood feel. Not to mention their prices are pretty competitive. The previous owners of my house started using Patriot after they were the only company to respond to a late night service call - and we've stuck with them. The design of the boiler is excellent. There have been no leaks. The boiler is easy to clean -- I do it myself with a boiler brush and a shop-vac, but also easy for a maintainer. The System 2000 is compatible with solar hot water and space heating. Patriot will not support their installation unless you purchase oil from them. Because I prefer getting support from a separate business entity than the one which sells me fuel, I've gotten support from other contractors recommended by Energy Kinetics.

Their price also included a 3 year service plan. The install was scheduled 3 days after I accepted the quote, others were scheduling 2-3 weeks out. On the day of the installation, the 128 crew arrived right on time, calling ahead to let me know they were on the way. They showed up with a four man crew, 2 installers for the mini-split and 2 electricians. The work was pristine, the wiring was neat, the unit was placed on a pad and looks great! The crew (Paul, Nedim, Nick & Connor) was extremely professional and curtious. The work was completed by 3pm same day. I am 100% pleased with the work and will be using them going forward for all my HVAC needs.
