My favorite shell by far was a shell that had a hard taco shell encased in a soft shell. This reminded me of a cheesy Gordita crunch and had a lot of flavor. Great food and drinks at a great price during happy hour M-F 4-7pm ($1 off all tacos, half price margaritas). Love their queso dip especially the dirty queso. Their customized menu can seem a little daunting at first, but it's pretty cool the ability to customize your taco or bowl with so many different options. The house margarita is amazing with top shelf tequila and strong! $10 normally but half off during happy hour. I also like their bubbly margarita. Its carbonated and you choose your flavor. I love Condado and have been to a different location and I am happy to announce that they're quite similar! My friend and I stopped in this location for happy hour and had a wonderful experience. We had margs and chips & guacamole and it was absolutely fantastic. Let's talk margaritas since that's what we stopped in for. We each had three and the flavors were: mango jalapeño, banana, regular mango, and blood orange. I cannot tell you how amazing all of them were. Their jalapeño mango is perfection. Spicy, sweet, and refreshing as ffffff. My new goal is to try all of their exotic (and not-so-exotic) flavors this summer. AND THEIR HAPPY HOUR PRICES ARE ONLY $3.50! It can't get much better than that. Or can it? It can. Our server was outstanding. Had an unfortunate customer service several times, but today's takes the cake! Condado has a cool social promotional feature as outlined on their menu (see photo attached). It's pretty simple: post a photo of Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram with 1000+ followers and get a free taco! Great right? Well...not so much. When I tried to claim my free taco after posting to my over 1000 Facebook friends I was told that: 1) this only is for instagram. Which is odd since the menu clearly lists two other platforms as eligible. 2) it's only if you buy 2 or more tacos. Again, this is listed nowhere on the menu 3) it's only a one time lifetime use. No clue how they'd check if you've done it before but ok... After being told these ridiculous additional terms, I noted that they should honor what they advertise. It took convincing (and attitude given to me from the employee and manager) but I finally got my free taco as advertised. This place is not focused on customer service. Condado's is always a Columbus classic, so when I realized my BF (lives out of town) hadn't been yet, we knew we had to grab a few Bud Boxes during our quarantine vacay. For just $10, you get your choice of 2 pre-made tacos and a half portion of either queso or guac and a good serving of tortilla chips - definitely an awesome deal!! I was so happy to see that Condado's was still delivering their excellent cuisine and maintaining their awesome CBus pride during these strange times. We each ordered a Bud Box for pick up - I went for the bubba kush and the mantis tacos with some guac on the side, and my BF got the braised + confused and bubba kush with queso. I love that the employees brought our boxes right to our car and just placed in the backseat - truly contactless service, and they were right on time with our order! I had the mantis taco before and was so impressed with the flavors, and it didn't disappoint this time either - the jackfruit is so flavorful and has an awesome texture, and the mango sauce really brings the flavors together. The bubba kush was a standout too - it was a nice compliment to the mantis. The pulled pork was nicely cooked and paired well with the pineapple salsa and jackfruit BBQ sauce. Both definitely had a kick, but nothing too crazy. My BF really enjoyed his too, definitely favoring the bubba kush over the braised + confused. For a half portion of the dips, they are definitely generous servings - I didn't even touch my guac and we had half of the queso left too! If you're looking for good quarantine eats with minimal contact, Condado's is definitely the spot for you. For just $10, you get a solid meal that will keep you full and likely provide you a second meal (at least part of it) for another day. This Taco spot is one of the best in the country! I cannot believe the amount of combinations that you are allowed to make at this place. They do a good job at giving you different options, But particularly I love how they label everything vegetarian, vegan, contains Dairy, I mean, those are the little things a restaurant can do to really take care of their customers. Margarita was pretty sugary and not that strong, though we got a pitcher so I don't know if that affected it. You get to choose your own taco; the shell and the meat/toppings. I got two, one with chorizo and one with pulled pork. The pork was excellent! I also got one soft taco and one taco that was a hard shell wrapped in a soft shell with some guac and sour cream in between the two shells ( highly recommend). While celebrating in Columbus, we decided to grab dinner at this awesome taco joint. The lighting is low, the music is loud and the televisions were playing the American League championship along with some very good college football. We chose to sit at the bar. We were treated by one of the bartenders who walked us through the ordering process.....so many choices. By the way, the bartender was awesome. She helped us navigate the menu and checked on us all throighout dinner to see if we needed anything. They make food choice easier with an ordering checklist to complete. However if that seems too much, you can pick from house specials. We chose to start with some delicious chips and salsa. They were crunchy, warm, and yummy. While waiting on the tacos, I order a nice thick, but smooth breakfast stout. This stout was delicious, it was made by ziftig. She decided a margarita would hit the spot. It was a hard decision to make. They had margarita flights to sample, however rather than go that road, she chose a peach. It was very good as well. We both chose layered tacos. The inside was crunchy while outside was soft. You can have a filling between the two layers. I chose a filling a of queso and chorizo......this was mouth watering deliciousness. The filling had a beef brisket with onions, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and salsa. Over this place was great, I cannot wait to hit the area again and try another taco combination. read more

Prefacing this by saying I typically get takeout from this specific location, but this is definitely my favorite food to get takeout in the Short North area. The bud box is an amazing deal, with 2 tacos and a side order of either queso or guac for about $12. The tacos are unreal, I recommend getting the Lucy's Fire and the Blue Dream, and while they don't taste as amazing takeout as they do in the restaurant, it's pretty darn close. read more

I live in the Short North and when this Condado first opened, I was reluctant to try it out because I really love Bakersfield, which is further South on High St. After going here once, I really was not a fan. I prefer the smaller tacos at Bakersfield than these bigger, normal sized tacos. I just would prefer to get three small tacos instead of one big one. Anyways, my boyfriend at the time really liked Condado so after a few more times going there, I came to really like it! I reviewed the pre-made taco list one day and randomly chose "The Ramsey." I was very pleased and have not strayed away from it since! Unfortunately, when I went there a few months ago I saw they took it off the menu! I really don't know why they did they. It's a great taco! However, I did have one of the waiters write the ingredients down for me and I took a pic on my phone so now every time I go, I remember what's in "The Ramsey." (I've attached the picture so you can try it too! They also have AMAZING chips and I'm obsessed with their salsa verde. I still prefer the tacos at Bakersfield, but Condado is an extremely close second. Just as an FYI-I should also add that it gets VERY loud inside of the restaurant. I can be sitting next to someone and feel like I'm yelling at them. Would not recommend taking someone hard-of-hearing to this location unless it's summer and you can sit outside. read more

Service is always good too. But then we get to the tacos. I love that you can build your own tacos and that they have a lot of options on the build your own menu. However, I always am a little bit disappointed once I taste my taco. Almost every time it's just too spicy for my liking. It could just be me b/c I do not like spicy foods at all. So when picking out the toppings for my tacos I always go with the mild options however the tacos are always still too spicy. Not everyone likes spicy foods so to have some more options that are actually mild (but still flavorful) would be nice. read more
