My friends and I looooooove Condado, but are not sold on this location. I usually frequent the High Street restaurants, and love the casual vibe. I think that is a bit lost with being located in the 'burbs of Easton. Definitely more families (not a prob), but also definitely more stuffy. We came for Sunday brunch and our food was good, not great, and came out quickly. The brunch menu is noticeably different and missing a few items, though I'm not certain if this was an overall change or specific for this location. Good visit, though I won't go chasing Easton Condado waterfalls again. I'll stick with the High Streets and Downtowns that I'm used to. read more

Stopped in the try this place that I had heard a lot about. It is the same concept as Barrio in Cleveland. It was a Wednesday evening and it was packed. The menu is set up so that you pick all the ingredients for your taco....shell, protein, toppings, and veggies. There are a few specialty tacos and a taco of the week to choose from. While I was one of the few fans of Cosi at Easton, this place is an improvement. Started with Pineapple Guac. Excellent flavor, I love the chips. It was a little overwhelming with all the papers, a brunch menu, a regular taco menu, a seasonal menu, a drink menu. I landed on the brunch menu and had cheese grits in a flour, corn tortilla inside, topped w bacon, corn salsa and quest. That was the winner! I also had a corn tortilla with pork, lettuce & chipotle cream. Pork had a lot of flavor & the cream was a nice add. The Pear Margarita was perfect. Like fall in a glass. Not overly sweet, complete w a cinnamon stick. My fellow yelper was a bit dismayed that her Bloody Mary didn't have the skewer it advertised. We all get the bloody Mary for the little garnishes. I've been here a few times for lunch - and it's a little off the beaten path (for better or worse). That means - not a lot of parking nearby, but because of the location you may luck out on a good, close spot. The fare is what you'd expect from Condado's - they're not the best tacos in town, but it's a step up from Taco Bell when you want to truly customize your experience (I mean, the cheese sauces... the bowls... you have more options!) The service has been good - summer or fall, wet or warm - they've been on top of keeping drinks full and tacos in front of your face. Definitely an excellent location for this hip taco restaurant! We visited during happy hour where our margheritas were discounted and our tacos were $1 off. The seating took a little longer than expected due to this, and our service was slightly off, but our waitress was super kind and understanding. Our seating was outdoors, which was lovely on this warm February day! Everything we got was delicious! The chips we're similar to Chipotle and the margheritas limey, sweet, and subtly alcoholic. I ordered two tacos: the Thai tofu and the BBQ jackfruit. Wow! I loved both, but if I had to choose again I would vote for the BBQ jackfruit. The habanero sauce I asked for on the side and it was such a nice, spicy balance for the sweetness of the BBQ. I'm not much for hype, and this place has a lot of it. And, it's pretty "stylish" and "hipster" and all that crap. I don't need that. Decor and trendiness don't matter to me. I don't mind eating in shacks, for good BBQ, and I am not at all impressed by fancy decor or "themed" restaurants, etc. But I have to say, this was better than I expected. The food and service, that is- the trendiness I could have done without. I was reminded a little of Local Cantina, and not in a good way- I am not a fan. Still, the service (for just one, at the bar) was great. He explained all the options... and let's go off on a tangent again: I hate complicated menus. If you have to explain to me how to order, you are doing things wrong. Anyway... I did appreciate the explanation, because of the complicated, small print, which box do I check menu. Because the build-your-own section was starting to frustrate me, I just picked a few things from the pre-fab section. First, a "dirty taco." Pretty basic, rice, beans, cheese. And pretty darn good. Nice tortilla, tasty fillings. Next a 'Mantis," jackfruit and other interesting flavors and textures in a combo hard/soft tortilla. Pretty messy, very tasty. Finally, the "Tradicional," chorizo, guac, etc. Meh. The chorizo tasted off (as Gwen mentioned.) The flavors were all muddled together. And it was even messier. I also had a small side of bacon refried beans. Good, but not bacony; maybe they just use a little grease? Anyway, for $1.50, not bad. And the chips they bring are very good. Crispy, salty, sturdy enough to dip. The salsas, though, disappointed me. They looked great, and freshly made, but had little flavor. The green had almost none. The red had a bit of heat, but not much else going on. All in all, decent, just not for me. Pretty good prices, pretty good food, great service. Nice as a bar/restaurant if you're into that kind of thing; order a la carte and booze up. They recommended two tacos, three if you're starving, and they were right. Was super stoked when I found out that Condados was adding a location at Easton. It is a large location and they can get you seated right away. As always with Condado, great food, great prices, leaving full and happy! Great happy hour and a fun place for groups. This is a chain that is becoming very popular in the Columbus area. There are several new restaurants that are popping up, this one in Easton. I tried the Columbus restaurant twice before but the lines were always too long. The wait here was pretty long as well, but we just walked around the Easton area waiting for their text letting us know the table was ready. Once we got their texts we were served immediately. The guacamole was very good. The chips not so. The chips were too oily and fried. I got two tacos, both flour and both with two meats (an extra $2 per taco). One was with chorizo and beef brisket, the other with pollo and pulled pork. I ate the first and was quite full so took the rest home. Get the beans and rice separate rather than in the taco. The quantity is larger and it is easier to eat. For the sauce, I'd suggest mango habanero. That's what my wife got and it was delicious and not too much heat. The margaritas were pretty good as well. I've came here a good few times with groups and it seems like every time the order gets messed up. People are missing what they ask for, I have a friend that's had something wrong with his order everytime he comes. He still comes somewhat often though. before i went here i said out loud that i was worried it might be a tourist trap. i was so much more correct than i thought. this was by far the worst experience i've had at a restaurant in recent memory. first we walked out to a patio that hadn't been swept or cleaned in hours. maybe half the day or more. then our waitress forgot about us for a good 15-20 minutes. when we eventually got our food, the chips and queso came out first even though i asked for it to come with the food. those were stale. and i don't mean a little bit. i mean STALE stale. then our food came. incorrect the first time, of course. and it was disgusting. didn't finish 1/4 tacos because it was so bad. the other two were fine but still relatively unappealing and none of the meats were quality for the price. so ultimately i paid $40 food that i would consider disgusting and also had a bad time from every other aspect. oh also the bathrooms were gross too. if i were a karen i 100000000% would've asked for a discount or refund. read more

Condado Tacos Easton = Muy Bueno. Condado Tacos is exactly like and nothing at all what I expected. Everyone, and I do mean everyone, was friendly. The way it's laid out inside is cool. Nice bar area and you order from a paper pad (see photos) which is not a problem when it's explained to you. Also, another unusual thing is that the high top tables are the happy hour tables. Low tops are not happy hour qualified. Interesting and very weird but hey, foods great! Now, about the food, it's really good. I recommend that you start off slow with a couple of tacos, don't worry you can order more. Some are more basic like the El Tradicioń which is awesome if you like a simple chorizo taco! The Ooey-Gooey is loaded. I think my 3rd was the Bubba Kush, hell by that time I was struggling, but it was wonderful and worth it. Lots of choices and my 11 year old actually tapped out from the food coma that was taking hold (Lol) and if you knew him that just does not happen! Daughter liked the quesadilla and she's picky! Now I must mention the service. Woods was our server/bartender on this trip and he was great. He explained the way it works and his custom made Shirley Temples for the kids are out of site (not made the traditional way). So I lived in Cleveland for awhile and Barrios was one of my all time favorite restaurants. If y'all are familiar with Barrios it is exactly the same concept, design and food options. I may be biased because I loved Ohio City SO much but the food was just not as good. Drinks- had a mezcal marg which was tasty and I'd get again. They do have a happy hour until 7 on weekdays. Food- got chips and guacamole. Chips were thick tortilla style- crisp and fresh. The guacamole tho was NoT the same. It seemed pureed and made in bulk. Wasn't bad but wasn't special in any way. Tacos - I got a chorizo in the spicy hard taco shell. Was impressed that the taco shell was actually quite spicy and I'd get it again. Also got a shrimp soft taco. Two was plenty. Service - good. Overall doesn't hold up to Barrios standard (maybe because there are so many now) but still good. Great for groups or a casual date. read more

I ordered through DoorDash as it was ridiculously hot. I ordered 3 soft build your own tacos and the Dirty Queso dip. The tacos were huge! 3 were too many for one meal. I ate 1 Taco then the chicken out of the dip with chips. The dip was the best Queso I have ever had along with the chips. I had the rest of the tacos the next day without the tortillas (a Taco bowl) along with the rest of the chips. Everything was good. The tacos were chicken with the corn and tomato salsas, lettuce, pickled onions, and cheese. Along with the cilantro lime aoli. Even the next day, the food was still good. I heated up the Taco filling in a bowl till warm and topped it with the aoli. I only gave it 4 stars as while the tacos were good, they aren't the best in the city. But the Queso and the Tortilla chips are the best I have had in town. read more

My go to taco joint in Columbus. I have a lot of friends that try to tell me Condado is subpar to others, and I simply tell them they are't ordering the right tacos, and proceed to drag them back to try again. Brisket on the "peezler" shell is the best base to start with. From there, don't be afraid to load up on the other toppings. Seriously, if you think "that could taste good" check the box. ADD IT TO YOUR TACO. Eventually, you may find a limit, but it takes time. Don't be shy. If you do it right, a single taco and one of their life-changing (not an overstatement) seasonal queso or guac options will have you leaving extremely satisfied. Top it all off with one of their perfectly poured, flavored margaritas (I prefer the blood orange). Service is quick and the servers are always helpful. The only downfall is that they love to pack people into these places. If you can, try to grab a seat at the bar. You'll likely find more space here than some of the other seating options. If you can sneak in during happy hour (usually goes M-f until 7) you can save yourself $1 off tacos and 1/2 off margs. read more

I'm visiting from out of town and walked around the mall to kill time before heading to the airport. We were all starting to get a bit hungry so we headed in and I really didn't expect much. I thought it would just be an overpriced, overhyped mexican restaurant with subpar tacos but boy was I wrong. The tacos weren't super traditional but they were definitely delicious. The pineapple salsa and chipotle honey were SO GOOD and a nice sweet/spicy edition to the tacos. The pulled pork was extremely flavorful and the pineapple salsa went really well with it too. The chips were nice and thick and crunchy. There are nachos on the menu and I feel that the chips would hold up nicely to all the toppings. The only downside I can think of here is the ordering system. They have sheets of paper where you can check off what you want on your tacos but I feel like there could be a more efficient/less confusing way of doing it because I was confused and overwhelmed for the first 5 minutes. I would definitely go back if I ever come back to Columbus because it's definitely something you can't find other places. read more

I'd been hearing about the Short North Condado from a few coworkers, so when the Easton location opened, I knew I had to try it. I'm so glad I did! This place is great. It wasn't too crowded when we arrived for lunch, which surprised me for opening weekend, but it started filling up pretty quick soon after we arrived. Service was very attentive the whole time even as it got busy. Since it was great weather when we were there, we decided to sit outside, which had a nice atmosphere and views of the Easton fountain and some other nearby stores. To start, we ordered the queso blanco, which is just their most basic queso option. The portion size of both the dip and the chips was pretty large. I really liked it, though there was nothing amazing about the flavor that stood out. I think next time I'll try one of the other queso options to change it up. I really enjoyed the process here. All the tacos are made to order, where you fill out a sheet with the tortilla, protein, and all the fixings you want on each. I ordered 2, which ended up being the perfect amount, especially after our chips and dip appetizer. I kept my protein fairly simple for my first time, trying one pork and one chicken. Both were good, but it's really the toppings that make it, with delicious options of salsas and sauces. There are SO many different combinations you can make, that I can't imagine ever getting bored of the options. I will definitely be back, and look forward to trying many more combinations. read more

So WOW!!!! I was looking for Taco's "outside the box" and I got it! My mouth...SO FREAKING HAPPY!!! Got chicken with all kinds of add ons and I could taste everything! No one flavor beat out the others! Chicken was moist and sooooooooo good! One blimp on the delivery (not their fault)...I didn't get my prickly pear fresca. I've been eating Condado since 2015, but I really do feel like something has become amiss. Condado used to be my favorite happy hour and general hang out place, but I really don't see myself coming back. I've been to this location probably a dozen times, and stopped in again yesterday for dinner with a friend. We shared a queso and salsa and I got a bowl with steak and 2 margaritas. The queso was pretty good, if not a little runny. No issues, we devoured the whole bowl. The chips were perfect, salty and very tasty. The salsas were also very good. Off to a great start. When I went to order my meal (I usually got 2 bowls), I came to find out that the $4 bowl has been replaced with a $7.50 "packed" bowl that now comes with rice and beans. I don't need rice and beans, but I was told that even if I excluded them, the cost would still be $7.50. Great. So I got the bowl with rice and beans and chose steak as my meat. Let's talk about that. The rice was completely flavorless. Seriously, I don't even think there was salt in it. The beans were overly mushy. The steak was flavorless and over cooked. They used to have this ghost pepper marinated steak that tasted yummy; it has since been replaced with some sort of lime steak and honestly it was garbage. Sad from my sad bowl, I tried to turn to alcohol. Unfortunately, the margarita has now become too sickeningly sweet for me to enjoy. I literally left 75% of my second glass on the table when we left. For those that know me, that is an indication that the alcohol is bad. Now I know what you're saying: "Roman, you're probably old. You can't drink that much anymore". To that I counter with 3 points: 1. I am Russian. It is in my blood to drink. 2. I have been known to complete a 20 for 20 wine tasting and then share a few pitches of bud light with a friend. 3. Margaritas are my absolute favorite drink, so if I can't even finish 2 of them, then they are grossly sweet. It's been a good run Condado, but I'm out. read more

This is probably one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Columbus! Their margaritas are amazing. They aren't the basic frozen flavors you normally get at other Mexican restaurants. They are unique and like no other! My favorites are the prickly pear or blackberry. The tacos are amazing too. The way you can customize your taco to have exactly what you want on it is perfect! They don't have a kids menu but they offer cheese and chicken quesadillas too! HAPPY HOUR! Happy hour is the way to do it. You can get the gran Classico marg (much better than the average house marg) four half off. And it regularly is priced at like $10. These are great and you can taste the tequila. I had a takeout order. I made sure to order flour tortillas so nothing would get soggy. The food was reasonably priced and looked fine. With the first bite I knew I had made a mistake. The pulled pork tacos that I got were completely tasteless! The only topping in evidence of my build your own taco was the purple cabbage. If there was onions and cilantro, or roja sauce, I couldn't tell. There was a pittance of cheese as was evident by the 3 or 4 little fine white gratings in each taco. Certainly not enough to taste. As to the pulled pork, it was completely devoid of any flavor what so ever. It takes real talent to take one of the most flavorful types of pork and turn it into wet strings of insipid crap. You can't just slow cook the pork shoulder you have to season it too! Even a touch of salt would have made a huge difference and I'm on a low salt diet so it doesn't take much salt for me to taste it. To put a point on this, I don't have covid and can taste other things just fine. Proof of this is that I could taste their beans with no problem. It was the only thing in my order that had any taste. Unfortunately, they make their beans into a fully blended liquid with no texture at all. They had a nice flavor but I really don't want to drink refried beans like a beverage. The rice I got to go with them was severely overcooked. Why two starts and not one? Because there is potential here! If they learn to season their pulled pork and they can fix the ratio of toppings the place has promise. Only thing is, I'll let someone else find out if they get better. We started with a pitcher of house margaritas and the queso and guacamole. The margaritas are great, and a is well worth the price- you can get 5 servings out of one. We got the queso with the corn salsa in it, which added a great unexpected texture to something already so yummy. The guacamole and chips were fresh and made a great appetizer along with everything else. It was all so good that I forgot to take a picture of my actual tacos when they came. I ordered the Sweet Lucy and the Juju, both of which I'm sure would be delicious whatever you put them, but I added chicken, lettuce, salsa, and queso Fresca. Good location, good atmosphere, good service, good menu, mediocre and flavorless food. I was running errands at Easton and figured I'd give this Condado location a try. It was my second time going to Condado, so I was trying to approach it with an open mind. We got the chips and salsa (it comes with red and green) to start, and wow was I disappointed. The red salsa is so bland I actually didn't want to eat it - there is just no flavor at all. The green salsa is marginally better, but still not great. The chips themselves are pretty good - they are the thicker type of tortilla chip, but still crunchy which is good. For tacos, we both chose to do the create your own, which is fun because there are a lot of choices and ways to customize your tacos. Our server recommended the sweet lucy shell, which is a flour tortilla, a corn tortilla, queso, and guac. It sounded very different so I gave it a try. I also had the braised beef brisket, fajita peppers and onions, salsa verde, and cilantro-lime aioli on that taco. It was too much liquid, which is probably my fault for ordering something that came with queso built into the actual base of the taco, and the flavors were less bland than the salsas, but still not anything to write home about. I think the braised beef brisket was the most flavorful part - it was actually really good. For my second taco, I had a flour tortilla, pulled pork, red cabbage, pickled red onions, salsa raja, and chipotle crema. The salsa roja is listed as spicy on the menu, which is laughable because I'm pretty sure it was the same bland salsa roja we had with our chips. My second taco was just okay, again nothing special. My dining partner also had two tacos: a sweet lucy with black beans, jicama and cabbage slaw, and corn salsa; and a hard corn taco with roasted chicken, red cabbage, queso fresco, and salsa roja. She had a similar reaction - decent, but lacking flavor. Overall, I have had worse tacos, but I have definitely had better.
