Good location, good atmosphere, good service, good menu, mediocre and flavorless food. I was running errands at Easton and figured I'd give this Condado location a try. It was my second time going to Condado, so I was trying to approach it with an open mind. We got the chips and salsa (it comes with red and green) to start, and wow was I disappointed. The red salsa is so bland I actually didn't want to eat it - there is just no flavor at all. The green salsa is marginally better, but still not great. The chips themselves are pretty good - they are the thicker type of tortilla chip, but still crunchy which is good. For tacos, we both chose to do the create your own, which is fun because there are a lot of choices and ways to customize your tacos. Our server recommended the sweet lucy shell, which is a flour tortilla, a corn tortilla, queso, and guac. It sounded very different so I gave it a try. I also had the braised beef brisket, fajita peppers and onions, salsa verde, and cilantro-lime aioli on that taco. It was too much liquid, which is probably my fault for ordering something that came with queso built into the actual base of the taco, and the flavors were less bland than the salsas, but still not anything to write home about. I think the braised beef brisket was the most flavorful part - it was actually really good. For my second taco, I had a flour tortilla, pulled pork, red cabbage, pickled red onions, salsa raja, and chipotle crema. The salsa roja is listed as spicy on the menu, which is laughable because I'm pretty sure it was the same bland salsa roja we had with our chips. My second taco was just okay, again nothing special. My dining partner also had two tacos: a sweet lucy with black beans, jicama and cabbage slaw, and corn salsa; and a hard corn taco with roasted chicken, red cabbage, queso fresco, and salsa roja. She had a similar reaction - decent, but lacking flavor. Overall, I have had worse tacos, but I have definitely had better. Condado is a fun atmosphere and I can see why it's so popular, but after trying it for a second time, I don't need to go back. read more

Worst service, rude server, found hair on my food, worst place ever, definitely not recommended

I had a takeout order. I made sure to order flour tortillas so nothing would get soggy. The food was reasonably priced and looked fine. With the first bite I knew I had made a mistake. The pulled pork tacos that I got were completely tasteless! The only topping in evidence of my build your own taco was the purple cabbage. If there was onions and cilantro, or roja sauce, I couldn't tell. There was a pittance of cheese as was evident by the 3 or 4 little fine white gratings in each taco. Certainly not enough to taste. As to the pulled pork, it was completely devoid of any flavor what so ever. It takes real talent to take one of the most flavorful types of pork and turn it into wet strings of insipid crap. You can't just slow cook the pork shoulder you have to season it too! Even a touch of salt would have made a huge difference and I'm on a low salt diet so it doesn't take much salt for me to taste it. To put a point on this, I don't have covid and can taste other things just fine. Proof of this is that I could taste their beans with no problem. It was the only thing in my order that had any taste. Unfortunately, they make their beans into a fully blended liquid with no texture at all. They had a nice flavor but I really don't want to drink refried beans like a beverage. The rice I got to go with them was severely overcooked. Why two starts and not one? Because there is potential here! If they learn to season their pulled pork and they can fix the ratio of toppings the place has promise. Only thing is, I'll let someone else find out if they get better. So WOW!!!! I was looking for Taco's "outside the box" and I got it! My mouth...SO FREAKING HAPPY!!! Got chicken with all kinds of add ons and I could taste everything! No one flavor beat out the others! Chicken was moist and sooooooooo good! One blimp on the delivery (not their fault)...I didn't get my prickly pear fresca. First and foremost, I am not a fan of the communal seating. At. All. If you're seated away from the main aisle, everyone between you and the waiter gets to touch your food/drinks as they pass them to you. Ew. Also, the seats are all metal stools, so everyone has to sit on their coats! Aside from the poorly thought out seating system, the place is neat. My tacos were slightly cold, but the place was SLAMMED when my wife and I visited, so I chalk it up to that. Very tasty still though, much like. Pretty much done with this Condado's. My last review was on their lack of customer service. This time, it's on their lack of identifying tacos. Our last trip here, they didn't label any of the tacos and my boyfriend and I had to guess which was which. They were also packaged so sloppy that half the tacos ended up in the aluminum foil. This trip, I specifically tried to name my tacos assuming it would help. They still didn't label them. Not to mention I labeled one of my tacos chorizo (in the name field) because that was the cheese that was on it to differentiate between my other taco. The food was good/okay but they weren't the best tacos that I have ever had. I had never been there before and nobody told me the ordering process so I ended up with 1 extra taco than I wanted. However the elote queso was really good. My only complaint is the food is not relatively cheap and there are a lot of upcharges ($2 sour cream, $1 jalapeños etc.) It was nice to try but I have had better tacos for significantly cheaper. Condado's used to be one of my favorite spots in Columbus but each of the new locations seems to be struggling. We were seated at a dirty table with wobbly stools. Server seemed bored. The meat in the tacos were cold, the whole taco was cold and we went at 5pm on a weekend not closing time. The only reason this is 2 stars is the drinks were well made! I hope that as Condados continues to expand their locations that they work towards hiring and training properly! With everyone raving about Condado's and the fact it's tacos I had to try it! We luckily went during happy hour with 1$ off tacos and half off margs. The peach margarita was AMAZING! The mango was meh. I loved the queso blanco, it was probably my favorite thing from the whole meal. How you order the tacos was kind of weird, not a huge fan but the tacos are massive and packed full. I only ate one of my tacos and it was yummy. I wasn't impressed with of any of the salsas or toppings but the chorizo, ground beef, and lime steak where super delish. Our waitress was really great but everyone else seemed like they didn't give a crap and we were sat a wet table. Overall, I would go back but only during happy hour I don't think it's worth the cost at full price. I look forward to coming back and trying new combinations. read more

Horrific customer service. We received a gift card to condado due to a back injury I had and could not eat in the store. They informed us that we couldn't use gift cards online, so my husband drove to the store to order to-go. There they told us we couldn't use a gift card for a TO GO ORDER. We had to PHYSICALLY be seated in the restaurant, which I obviously was unable to do. So basically we have a gift card we can't use, because of the poor service that this restaurant offers. Will not be supporting this business. I was really excited to try this place because I'm a taco/Mexican food junkie but I have to say I wasn't impressed. My 19 year old niece and 6 year old who was dining with me wasn't impressed either. 1st off, no kid friendly offerings of any sort. A plain cheese quesadilla or plain shredded chicken in a bowl were the items told to me that were somewhat kid friendly. The menu is totally confusing but yet easy once explained. I like that you can virtually make your own by choosing your own items, however, it's a bit overwhelming. There are very few "ready made" suggestions for easy picking. Food is just okay. It was actually cold. Nothing special. A bit disappointing for a taco lover. Won't get a craving for it. The dip trio was stale and cold. The chips taste stale and greasy. Yummo. This place has delicious tacos and was the perfect cure for my nacho and taco craving. There are regular tables and a bar in the dining area, and a patio outside. The menu offers "build your own" taco options, as well as pre selected creations to choose from. The ingredients are fresh and the food is served super fast. I barely had a couple sips of my drink and my chips and queso (blanco) and taco were delivered to the table. The queso was not my favorite. It kind of reminded me of a cheese whiz taste. I tried Condado for the first time during restaurant week as they were running an awesome special. I have ordered more then a few times since then! I love the bud box as it's a perfect amount of food! The first time we ordered, my husband and I weren't sure two tacos each was enough, but these aren't street tacos! They are much larger and more filling. I will admit, the takeout doesn't stay as warm as we would like it (we live about 10 minutes away and it's always slightly cold when we get home to eat it), but it doesn't detract from the taste. We came in as a party of 4 on a friday evening. We had completely expected there to be a wait, but we were able to get a table upon walking up to the hostess. Their staff were very compliant in current COVID-19 procedures and were helpful. We had not experienced Condado before and they were able to answer any questions we had. We each ordered two tacos, drinks and spilt queso. Everything was great. I had the plain Jane and the blue dream tacos. Both were great. They had some heat to the contents. My husband, our 14 month old, and I came here on Saturday night for the first time, and this is such a cool place! We checked in with the hostess, and instead of giving you one of those pager things or calling your name over a system, they take your phone number so that they can text you when your table is ready; giving you an opportunity to still shop around Easton, but you may want to stick to spots close to tv's restaurant. We were also told that I would not get any unsolicited texts after that, and that was true so that's nice. We waited about 5 minutes before our table was ready, and they let us park the stroller near the hostess stand out of the way for everyone and provided us with a high chair, and convenient seating are the end of the community style table. Our server was female and her name was Tyler and she was great. She was friendly, energetic, and she explained the menu since it was our first time there and offered to get us a kids cheese quesadilla put in so that the toddler could be fed right away; we appreciated that very much! While we waited for our food, our daughter loved the Reggae music and clapped her hands and wiggled in her seat so she enjoyed herself and her cheese quesadilla the entire time. We also enjoyed looking around at the cool artwork everywhere on the walls, and looking at everyone else's food! I ordered the Purple Haze Bowl which had about 6 or 7 pieces of soft, yummy tofu, rice, black beans, tomatos and red cabbage - it was amazing! Everyone seems to love Condado but I am not a huge fan. Some friends and I stopped last night. Our service was not up to par. We were immediately sat which was nice and then we had no server. A table was sat next to us and they immediately had a server. That server completed ignored us. We stopped another employee to ask about our server. She went to check and came back stating she didn't know who our server was supposed to be but she would get us started. Olivia was her name and she was amazing. She was super sweet and got us our drinks and queso/salsa. The server that ignored us completely then started helping the table on the other side of us again not even looking at us. Olivia came and got our order sheets continuing to make our experience great. Shortly after that server (Miles) brought us water and said he would be taking care of us...what...Olivia had already done all the work. Someone else brought our food which for me was just so-so. The chips are way too thick for my liking and the churizo queso did not have much flavor in my opinion nor did the 2 salsas we had. After Miles "took over" and got us one refill on soda and brought our checks we didn't see Olivia. We talked with the manager to ensure Olivia received our tips as she did the majority of the work and stepped in with the rest of the staff failed. So thanks Olivia we truly appreciated you! Services was a 3 overall thanks to Olivia otherwise it would have been a 1. Food in my opinion is only about a 3 though my friends all enjoyed their food. It is a hard shell then queso the a soft shell with savory brisket in between... top it with your favorite toppings. You'll be in heaven. You can pick a ready made taco or choose your own toppings.
