So this evening, for our anniversary dinner, we decided to try some of the unique tacos they carry. To be honest it was a mixed bag. Picked up and took back to our hotel. Here goes: 1. BYO Vegan chorizo with poblano. No flavor, overpowered by cumin. 2. Street Corn with Brisket. Decent flavor. The brisket was tender. Heat was sporadic. 3. Sweet Heat. Nice combination of the brisket, barbecue sauce and cheese. 4. Yuzu Butter Shrimp: my favorite of the four. Creamy, not too hot and very nice flavor profile. Enjoyed the meal but I would say a little pricey. $56 for eight tacos. Also, if you get the hard shell tacos try to eat them asap or they'll fall apart by the time you get to wherever you're going. Kudos to Condado for being the kind of business that takes feedback from their customers seriously. Not only that, but they did something about it. This Mexican spot does 2 things really well and they telll you in the name- tacos and tequila! Popped in on a late Saturday afternoon. Not very busy so we were seated immediately. Server was prompt, friendly and attentive. We ordered the margarita flight. It was delicious and fun to try all the different flavors. We order several tacos and they were all good too. My daughter ordered the shrimp quesadilla. The shrimp was very fishy smelling and tasted very bad. The server didn't charge us and apologized. Outside of that, everything was solid. read more

National Burrito Day sounds like a great day to go to Condado Taco. They were doing half price burritos all day. So a friend and myself went for a burrito. We started out ordering the half size smoked cheddar queso with chips. We were told it was plenty big enough for two people to share. The size of the queso was tiny. It's a personal size not a sharing size. We wished we would have gotten the full size. I ordered the chicken bacon ranch burrito. It was the most bland burrito I have ever eaten. It was dry even though it had ranch dressing and the smoked cheddar queso in it. I was going to ask our waiter for something to add to it but he never came back. Another lady stopped by and asked if we wanted drink refills. And then she brought our bills. So service was pretty crappy. Food wasn't great. I have gotten the nachos is the past and enjoyed them. We hosted two retirement parties at Condado, one for about 20 people and another for around 30, and both experiences were solid. Catering was ordered each time, and the service was decent. Catering came with loaded tots, chips with queso, guac, and salsa and brownies. Everything was delicious. The staff had our tables set and ready, which we really appreciated, and they did a nice job accommodating larger groups. The food was good across the board, and I especially enjoyed the drinks. They have a lot of interesting flavors, as well as seasonal options. This was a reliable choice for hosting events, with good food, good drinks, and a welcoming setup for groups. Tacos were delicious!! Chicken bacon ranch, limited time only:( The $27 pitcher normally $34 was good , u barely get a buzz as the tequilla was not noticeable, very disappointing!!! Skip it. The Skywalker nachos need some help, got the rice and beans on the side as they definitely don't belong on nachos , they put the cheese on the bottom which makes those chips soggy, and all the toppings are cold. My friends and I had such a lovely time here on the patio today. We stopped in for a drink while on a walk, and they had a deal going on where you could get 2 margarita flights for $20. We tried all the signature flavors, including the mystery margarita. I was able to guess the flavor and we all got free queso cards. I wish I knew the name of our server, as he was the best server I've had in a long time. He knew the three of us were splitting the 6 mini margaritas, so he put 3 small straws in each. When checking our ID's, he noticed our birthdays were coming up (all 3 of us have birthdays within 3 days) and surprised us with free birthday brownies. It's so rare anymore to receive such wonderful and outstanding service, and experiences like this make want to come back again and again. read more

If you want to satisfy your taco craving, this is the place. Lucey's fire and ooey gooey tacos are delish and i usually build my own bowls, which is amazing. The vibe when you get in is very underground, black light, neon feel. Super cool decor and there are plenty of tables both inside and out. There is a bar that seats about 8 people. The bathrooms are a little dim, but pretty clean. Each taco is about $3-$5 and the bowl can increase the more meat/certain toppings you add. If you are an avid margarita drinker, these are very refreshing. Highly recommend the hibiscus marg. It's sweet, got a kick and very refreshing. Try getting a pitcher for you and your friends. I've visited Condado a couple times now and both have been pretty good, but not quite great. The first was during Devour and they had a great menu: my husband and I each got drinks (we appreciated the NA options), a dip, and two tacos. The guac was good but the street corn was nothing special.I ordered a seasonal taco and a plant-based, while my husband got korean bbq and the same seasonal, plus one extra. We weren't super impressed by the korean bbq, but he really liked his steak taco and the seasonal option was good too. The space was larger than expected, with lots of seating (including outdoor), and the murals were fun. We weren't seated in the best location on this vist, right up against the servers' computer. It felt like we were crowding them the whole time and they seemed a little inconvenienced by us even though we didn't choose to sit there. Our next visit was with a larger group of friends and the food was good but all of our drinks took a really long time to come out, including just sodas. They came out after we were all done with our food, which wasn't ideal. I would come again when we have plent of time and can enjoy nice weather on the patio. read more

Came to Condado as part of my first Devour experience for the season! The deal is a drink, appetizer, and entree for $22, and you get a lot of food for that price. For a Wednesday night at 7 pm, it is not crowded and food came out super quickly. We got... Cactus water: a fruity and gingery cocktail/mocktail, just a little sweet and tart Queso chorizo: their classic queso blanco with chorizo pieces on top and mixed in. Delish! Skywalker nachos: your classic loaded nacho with all the fixings. I had a hard time finding the crispy chips underneath all the toppings! Condado is always a classic stop when you're on a pedal bike. My complaint is that I think their food and drinks are a little overpriced, even for downtown. The chips and queso are so good, though. Great. This was my first visit. My wife had been here before and prepared me for "it is so good!" I kinda thought she was exaggerating, but... she wasn't. It is so good!" I wanted to try a few things so I got a couple vegan taco, and a bowl (that was too much food, but it was good!). Everything was good, but next time I go, it'll all be tacos. The service was polite, but it was slow. We came before going to a play and I had to keep trying to find our waiter. We had about 1.5 hours to burn. I thought that would be more than enough time, but we used every bit of it. At first he came right away, but then we had to wait to order, waited a while for the food and he was MIA when it came time to pay. On Black Friday 11/29/2024 I had organized a meet up with friends at my favorite new taco chain (is it new?) at the Condado Tacos downtown Indianapolis location. I became a fan last summer when my brother took me to a location on N High Street in Columbus Ohio. I was hooked. Sadly we don't have any locations in the Chicago area but we have lots of Mexican so no biggie. This gives me something to look forward to as I travel. The meet up was at 2 PM and I was going stir crazy in my hotel room so I left a little early and arrived at 530 Massachusetts Ave location after exiting an Uber that smelled like weed. I live in Chicago and the entire city smells like weed. I entered the spacious and brightly decorated establishment and took a seat at the bar and was greeted by Terrance who would single handedly take care of the bar and the floor buy some miracle on his own. I ordered the Handsome Devil : Tanteo Habanero-Infused Tequila, Ancho Reyes Verde, lime, and agave with a Tajín rim and it hit the spot. It was perfect. Within and hour or so my friends all showed up and Terrance brought menus to all of us now seated at a table. Everyone ordered drinks and then food. I had 3 amazing tacos. The quality of this chain is absolutely above par. I think I turned everybody onto the place and I really wanted to go back. I actually did have one for the road the following Sunday at the Greenwood location where my drink was made by Angie. Hats off to Terrance for taking care of us as he handled other customers as well. Walked in here with my mate on a Tuesday around 3pm. It was dead. The sign said, "Wait to be seated" so.. we waited. Finally, a fellow wearing a Condado t-shirt (so he worked there, right??) came up and said, "I don't know.. go to the bar, they'll help you there." So after that encouraging welcome, we walked up to the bar. The bartender lady said something mumbly, and my mate said, "yes, eating here." We sat down by the window with one menu that was handed to us, and waited. And waited. And waited. Finally, we walked up to the bar and I casually mentioned we'd been sitting over there waiting, and the bartender asked, "for dine-out right" and we're like "no." So.. that set the tone. But the food was good. We got the 3-Dips and a Marg flight. The dips were pineapple, street corn, and smoked cheddar. They were all very delightful, and the tortilla chips crisp and salty. The margaritas we chose for our flight were Prickly Pear Lavender, Ginger Blood Orange and Strawberry Yuzu. They were very good, but I don't think they were very strong. I liked the decor on the walls, it was pretty neat and kitschy, with fun cartoon-like designs. A portion of the wall had peeled off for me to see that it was a wall wrap. Well done! All in all kind of an awkward setting and awkward people, and it made us feel almost like they wanted to screw around while there were no customers, and we ruined that. Out of 7 tacos 4 were incorrectly made. Our carne asada only had two pieces of carne asada, the rest was ground beef. Then they incorrectly charged us an additional taco. The manager didn't apologize, all he said was "someone in the kitchen doesn't know how to make a carne asada taco" (bad habit taco on menu) the server blamed the kitchen. Food tasted good, it's the only reason it gets a 2 Server waited for bill to be paid before seeing itemization and figuring out a tip. Pretty EPIC! read more

We have been wanting to eat here since seeing the commercials before we moved to the state. The inside is cute, and the menu has a lot of good options. --HOWEVER-- We went in around 4PM (I noticed the time, because happy hour had finished at 3PM-bummer) and nobody was around. I get mid-day on Tuesday is slow for them. But they open at 11AM and nobody was around. We stood awkwardly at the 'wait to be seated' sign. I made eye contact with the lone person in the dining room wearing a Condado shirt, and he shrugged and said we could probably go up the bar (I guess he didn't actually work there--oops). My mate and I walked up to the bar and the gal said something very quickly, and I assumed it was, "do you want menus?" She handed me... one. We found a table and shared the menu. Nobody came... It was such a weird vibe. Wherever the employees were, they were not waiting tables. The gal didn't come over either, even after an uncomfortably long time. They're open, right??! Finally we walked back up to the bar--to order a margarita flight, triple dip, and a taco. The gal counted her til while we waited to order, then we found she and I had had a miscommunication-she had actually asked if we wanted dine-out. But even so, no care was taken, and no employee acted like they gave AF. She apologized and came to our table to take the order. We ordered and 2 of our 3 dips came out, with the guy mumbling something (I swear I'm not hard of hearing, it's just the employees were doing the bare minimum). The drinks were strong and flavorful, delivered in tiny mason jars which are always adorable. The 2 dips we got were good and came with a plethora of chips. Then the guy delivered the taco which looked absolutely amazing--just like the commercials! After we had finished off an entire dip the gal finally came to check on us. I checked on our 3rd dip and she seemed confused and went off for awhile before bringing the very best, tastiest, wonderful one--the street corn dip. Get that one for sure-it was awesome! We finished all the food and drink on the table and then wanted to get another taco and 2 more drinks. After a long while, I decided maybe just the drinks. After waiting too long, with no employee attending to us at all, I just wanted the check. It was absolutely unprofessional behavior by all. And it put a major damper on what should have been a good experience because the food/bev/decor was top-tier. If the business is open they should act like it. At best nobody realized we were there, and didn't communicate that fact to whoever was in charge of tables, at worst they made us feel awkward so we would leave and they could go back to chatting and play-time. read more

I want to be sure to acknowledge and thank our chefs/cooks Cody, Cam, and Tristan. The nachos were made with the intent to please, and they were absolutely delicious. The Condados downtown on Mass Ave has always been clean, open, and welcoming! Let's talk about John, our waiter, who deserves the Server/Waiter of the Month award. He gave excellent recommendations, let me try all the sauces since I was worried some might be too hot, and offered my family a sample of the Thai Chili Tofu, which we will be trying next time. Visited my brother in Indianapolis and he mentioned a taco spot downtown that I had to try. Though the interior of the restaurant reads young and vibrant, unfortunately...he could have kept this one off the list. I feel like I ordered my food and literally less than 60 seconds, it was in front of me. It made me question the freshness and potential flavors. However, I put my judgment aside took a bite... and was left with disappointment. I could have made better ground beef tacos at home. The ground beef lacked salt and a lot of seasonings. As for the mango guacamole and regular guac, they were alright. I would add cumin and a squeeze of lemon to both...they too lacked personality and flavor. The drinks were cool but definitely measured. However, I want to give a special shout out to our bartender Terrence. He was really cool and made our stay at the restaurant, enjoyable. read more

Finally tried this place. It's good and cheap! For under $20 I got two tacos, chips, two salsa, and a margarita. The marg was good. The tacos were good, and the salsa were good. The queso (which my friend ordered) was REALLY GOOD. Service was quick. There was plenty of room inside and a lot of cool painting all over the walls. Overall this is nothing to write home about. We decided to try this restaurant since we had not been there before and they had a devour lunch menu. We had to wait a few minutes for seating as there was no one at the hostess stand. In fairness we did not have a reservation but at 12:30 on a weekday we didn't really think it was necessary. For my Devour menu I chose the house margarita which was tasty. I also ordered the blanco queso with chips. The chips were nice and fresh and the queso was tasty but I had to take out the jalapeños which were pretty spicy. The two tacos I ordered were the brisket and the Korean BBQ. I got the sauces on the side as I was advised it was a bit spicy and it was. It felt like the food was slapped together, the chicken was extremely dry, the chips were soggy from the water that was in the food (it was not all cheese), and it was very bland. I barely touched my food and the waiter said he would fix it when I asked for the check. It was not worth remaking the item because I lost my appetite and was already disappointed with the food and service. I also ordered a white peach sangria that was nothing like a sangria.
