Chili is just tad sweet to me, lil cinnamon flavor. But local favorite here! Fresh chili cheese dogs all day. Do try the tamales they are really good for hot dog joint! You should understand that the restaurant is unique and not a Chicago dog joint or Costco or Sam's but it is worth your time and money. I had 2 dogs with chili, cheese and onions. I would pass on the cheese next time because it's fine sprinkle cheese and gets in the way of the flavor. I scraped mine off. The dogs were good. The chili is different but good. Tried the tamale with the same toppings. Same cheese issue. Wouldn't order it with cheese again. Good texture to the tamale with a pleasant taste--paired nicely with the chili and minced onions. I haven't been to Coney I-Lander in quite some time. We had a craving for some coney's and I remembered how much I used to love the coney's here. I got the coney's and got them home but they were nothing like they used to be. The chili was not the same as it used to be. It was much more spicey. I will not be returning there any more. I guess I will just have to go to Sonic for a chili dog from now on. The staff was great. They were all polite, helpful and professional. The restaurant was clean and although I took my order to go, if I were going to dine in, it would have been a nice place to eat. read more

I don't honestly have the slightest idea how this place is open, first off, hot dog quality is the same as a soggy Vienna sausage. Second, it's so small you don't even taste it in the bun. The cheese isn't warm or melted, it's just chalky cheese covering the rest of what you don't taste over the overbearing dry chalking cheese. so I came to visit and the went through the drive in . the lady on the mic seems like she had an attitude when I said hello .she said I'll be with you in a moment with with an attitude. then when placing my order tou just hear she's aggravated. so I go up to pay and I'm using my Apple Pay.she tells me she will have to ta my phone. I make a face is discuss because the point of tap pay is to not have to do hand to hand transfer .so even tho she told me that I say okay and hand her my phone .with a stank look and attitude well if u don't like it u can just come inside .so I then ask what's your attitude she said well u got one first I said I did not get an attitude just frustrated but I processed and told u okay with out any other words.then she starts yelling at me and then failed to give me my food.so wasted a linxh break for nothing. never coming back to this location again read more

Everybody loves this place so the hot dogs must be good. I went in and the menu board says "chili hotdog with onions" $1.57. Great deal so I ordered 5. Guy asked if I wanted cheese. I said I guess so. I didn't figure out until later that made them "chili CHEESE hotdog with onions". $1.72 each. No big deal. I can afford 15 cents. I didn't realize until I saw them that I had actually ordered " CHEESE chili CHEESE hotdog CHEESE onions CHEESE bun with extra CHEESE ". Somewhere in the pile of CHEESE was a very small hotdog (about 4 inches long) and traces of something that appeared to be chili. You may wonder if I liked the hotdogs. I have no idea. I couldn't taste anything except CHEESE. It was almost like eating out of a bag of plain shredded CHEESE. Next time, if there ever is a next time, when asked if I want cheese I'll just say NO. read more

The employees here were very polite and professional. The service was Fast. They were courteous and did their jobs beyond top notch. The cleanliness of the restaurant was outstanding, And the drive-through line was being attended to with an immense amount of attention while The employees could easily multitask the dining customers and the online customers. The food is very inexpensive. It seems to be well liked by people in Tulsa and I'm sure the management is nice. However, I didn't care for the taste of their chili as it had a hint of what tasted like cinnamon. That may be a thing for Tulsa peeps, but not for me. read more

This the Coney I-lander closest to the house and one I've gone to for years. The fare is the same as theothers in town but the service is a tad better. None of this stuff is good for me but there are times that only a coney will fill the hole in my gut. Give this place a try if you're craving a coney. read more

Dear lord. If you want your mouth to praise you and your stomach to curse you, hit up the legendary Coney I-Lander. It's greasy and delicious, simple yet disgustingly good. About $1.50 per coney isn't too shabby, but you may hate yourself a little (or a lot) after the meal is over. A true Tulsa classic. read more

Tried this place after reading other YELP reviews. I have to say I agree with others. Five stars for great coneys! The frito pie was also great. The onions are diced very small but are loaded on. Me and my husband were standing in line and the lady that was working the drive through was giving the man in the drive through his change and the $10 doller bill flew out of her hand my husbaand went outside to the drive through to get the $10 dollers to give the lady. The staff is alway super nice and the coneys always bring a wave of nostalgia over me. You can't beat these hot dogs. Cheap, delicious, and an indulgence not to be passed up.
