He gave some great advice, and, frankly, he is the main reason we went with Synlawn. Installation was quick and done efficiently. Then it all went south! Mario said that it was great for pets, citing drainage and durability. It is not good if you have a puppy, which he knew we had, as puppies love to chew on things and the turf pulls out quite easily. Too, shortly after installation, we thought we had a ripple in the turf possibly due to installation. I contacted Mario and he said he would come by and take a look. We never heard from him again. To be honest, it turned out to be nothing, but, nonetheless, he never reached out again. After a couple of months was saw some discoloration around the fountain. I contacted Billy Bright, and he said it was due to the water from the fountain. He said to try CLR cleaner, which didn't change anything, and then he said to try GooGone, which also didn't work. He said Synlawn was not going to do anything about it, since it was due to the fountain. My point is, since it seems to be a known issue, why wasn't this mentioned at the time of the sale by our salesperson, Mario, with 17 years experience! The fountain has been in place long before the turf sale took place. Seemingly it is always what the salesperson doesn't tell you that comes back to bite you. Needless to say, that in no way can I recommend Synlawn to anyone. I am giving them one star as there is no zero.

We love our SYNLawn Synblue 745 lawn…read more Billy and Lou went going above and beyond in answering all my questions, coordinating with other warehouses so I could see samples in person while traveling (since they don't have local offices in the Bay Area, only Sacramento), and really diving in deep as I was analyzing every single detail + pros/cons of all the different turf lines as I was making my decision. Everyone was so patient and great. I probably called and talked to them at least 10+ times, Lou even answered my call while on vacation in Mexico! We only bought the turf and infill and used our own contractor to install in Oakland. However, I did about 6-12 months of research and sample gathering across many different turf companies and suppliers (WaterSavers, TigerTurf, SGS in LA, Heavenly Greens, BeeGreen, etc.) and SYNLawn's quality was consistently superior while also providing the most natural look. We also were considering the previous SynBlue 949 (which is no longer being manufactured) as it doesn't seem to require infill and many past customers in our area are extremely happy with it. It's super lush and felt very nice but has more of a yellowish hue when side-by-side with SynBlue 745. We also wanted to compare but weren't able to get a sample of the 545, but ultimately felt good about going with the higher density and face weight of the 745. Unfortunately, Yelp posted my pics in random order but you can see the general before and after. We're so thankful to have a wonderful place space for our kids, and to have found SYNLawn when we did (it was the last turf company I researched after someone recommended them from a neighborhood FB group). OTHER FINALISTS My other finalists were either Dune/Sage from SGS or an unidentified sample from Heavenly Greens. SGS to their credit was honest that those lines were meant for landscaping and may get matted down or have breakage over time with heavy play usage. We didn't enjoy the sales reps from Heavenly Greens and were unfortunately never able to narrow down the name of the sample we liked from them (there were no tags attached). Our neighbors installed Willow from WaterSavers, but it was not as plush or thick underfoot as the SynBlue 745, and not as natural in appearance. Overall, we're thrilled with our decision and hope this long overdue review helps someone else! (Our kids now use the other turf samples as "plates" on the turf when they play "restaurant." :))

I spoke with Eduardo about what we wanted done (updated some of the things we wanted done from last year), and came to an agreement on price pretty easily. He began work the following week, even though I was flexible with timing. Eduardo was a great and personable guy even before making the agreement. His workers were also diligent and the kids like hanging out with them too. Every day was a huge change and all of us are very happy with the end result. A simple, beautiful, no maintenance backyard is just what we wanted, and thanks to Eduardo and his guys, is here. After seeing my father in a wheelchair, he offered to build a ramp for us to for easier accessibility. This is also something we have been considering for a while. Seems like he and his guys can do just about any job!

Ease of quoting process Before coming out in person, they were able to give us a ballpark price based on dimensions, fence type, and site images. This allowed me to decide whether to move forward and I thought this was really respectful of my time. Then, Dago, the owner, came for the site visit and to discuss details. 2. No bait and switch In ironing out the details, there was some miscommunication about whether staining was included. Dago was able to meet us halfway with the price increase. This honest business style continued throughout the project and no change orders or unexpected price increases happened. 3. Detail oriented Throughout the project, we discussed details such as fence posts placement relative to tree roots, post height, etc. Dago was both available in person and by email via his assistant Maria. It was also nice to have responses confirmed in writing so that things were clear and there would be no bait and switch. 4. Personality Dago is a really nice person and I enjoy speaking with his about his geriatric dogs, etc. This also helped me not feel anxious about the project, because I felt that I could trust him. For this fence, we received multiple quotes. Two companies were in the $9-10K range, another was around $12K, and an outlier was above $20K. Dago's price was the lowest quote (with minute differences in material) and we are very glad we went with him!

Called the office and Adam came out a couple of days later to inspect our lawn and give us a quote. After talking to a few other local vendors, we decided to go with FENIX and we are really pleased we did. Adam, Kimberley and Erica communicated really well and answered any question we had about the entire process. They provided us with a few turf samples as well as an extensive list of referral addresses we could use to inspect their craftsmanship and the quality of the installed turf product. When the day to start the project arrived, Dylan and the large crew arrived right on time as arranged and immediately got to work. They were very professional and skilled. They were able to complete the entire project in one day and cleaned up the "worksite" nicely. We are extremely happy with the entire process from start to finish and would use them again if needed and would highly recommend them if you were considering installing artificial turf for your landscaping project. I can't say enough good about ConstruArt pavers. Pete, Roman and their team transformed our backyard vision to a reality. I had an idea in my head of two patios, and turf in the middle and with their knowledge and experience, we designed a fantastic looking and usable backyard, side yard and widening of driveway. I met with several other contractors who I knew were trying to sell me a bill of goods. Then Pete came into the picture. He was honest straightforward, and gave us a great deal from their Roman took over with his crew and very quickly transform our dirt into a masterpiece, Roman and his crew showed up on time worked hard all day and cleaned up at the end of each day. ConstruArt really did an excellent job in our backyard! We wanted a paver patio, retaining wall, grass, fire pit area and a sitting wall around it. This was me and my husband's first huge backyard project ever so naturally we were nervous. Roman and his team guided us through every step, came up with ideas and suggestions before and along the way which made this whole process so much easier. First, Pete helped us visualize the layout for the backyard and made sure our ideas and vision stayed within the budget we had set. Then Roman and the crew came in and did outstanding work. First time they made a walkway from my back door to the alley, and recently dug out my asphalt driveway and replaced it with pavers and extended the walkway across my back yard. Life Turf Landscaping replaced my grass with artificial turf a few years ago. At the time, they…read moretold me I should turn off the irrigation on that side of the yard, but they never clearly explained why. A few years later, I started noticing sunken areas in the turf that have now become a safety hazard because of how deep the holes are. Based on what has happened, it appears that irrigation pipes may have been punctured during the turf installation. Every time the irrigation was turned on, water seemed to wash out part of the base underneath the turf, creating large holes and unstable areas. They came out once and repaired the issue, but a few months later the holes came back. Unfortunately, no one clearly explained why this was happening or offered a permanent solution. I have tried multiple times to get them to come back and address the problem, especially since I believe this should fall under the warranty. I reached out by phone, email, and text, and they have not responded. I even offered to pay them to fix it, but still received no response. Very disappointing experience. We are so impressed by the work ethics, professionalism, efficiency, attention to details, and great attitude of the whole team. They have wow'ed us! Our family is so happy and thankful for our beautiful yard! It has only been about a week since the work is done, and our family has been out in the yard enjoying watching our kids play ball everyday. I wish we had done this sooner! We went through several changes in figuring out the proper look and materials for our project and WCP never waivered in providing assistance and understanding our point of view. The demolition of our old patios and prep work for the base of our new patios was done on effortlessly. The craftmanship and attention to detail by Everton and Alex for the installation of the pavers and the cap on our retaining wall was superb. I had asked that we need to replace the barrier underneath. The got it done in about 2 days. The 2nd project we had grass installed in our backyard and get the sprinklers working again (previous owners never got it fixed, so I'm glad that it wasn't any major work).
