Greg was very flexible in working w/my schedule and we figured out a date and time to come out and take look at my furnace that kept cutting out. This review has nothing to do with the quality of the work that they perform. I need to make sure that's clear before continuing. Anyways, this is about their customer service when you're trying to use them for a job or project. I did an inquiry via Yelp to find HVAC companies that could help me both diagnose and fix heating issues with a Carrier unit sitting on the roof of the church I attend. Roughly about 4 companies reach out to me... including these guys. They were very engaging at first... informed me of a particular delay that would impact them coming out to provide me service until that Friday. I said okay, and just waited until weeks end for my appointment... or so I thought. When the day finally arrived, I reach out to see what time they were going to come. That's when my interactions with them took an unexpected turn. Apparently no appointment was made, or notations of my interactions with their team. I ended up screen shotting my phone to cue the owner in that I wasn't making this up. He apologized, and offered personally to come out to diagnose the problem himself that Saturday, since it would be overtime if he had to send one of his guys. Understandable. But then He proceeds to ghost me too. Not even as much as a message through the Yelp app saying "hey, I'm not going to be able to make it after all". That's all I (or anyone else) would ask for... consideration for our time. If you're going to let prospective customers just fall through the cracks, then how can we expect you to treat us when we do decide to hire you. Just my 2 cents! read more

We have been wanting to replace the ducts in our home for quite some time now and also because we've lived in this house for over 40 years. With wanting to find a reliable and dependable company. I've read plenty reviews on Yelp but I decided to contact Controlled Comfort due to the owners responses to his customers review, when a review was unsatisfactory Greg responses were to better their service and took accountability, it is the reason why I chose to send them a message for a project and I'm glad that I did. I received a reply right away from Keith, operation manager. He said that I will be receiving a call from the owner Greg, which was quicker than I expected. We discussed what kind of job I needed done and just like that, he scheduled to have one of his guys come by to take a look at the ducts in our attic. Christian came through a few days after my conversation from Greg, he took a look around the attic and our furnace. He suggested adding a media filter to the furnace which I ended up Googling to find out what it was and how it worked. I was sold for some better air quality in my house. These guys were professional and completed the job in one day. They did everything they said they were going to do and more. My furnace closet doesn't look as scary anymore and now looks shiny and clean. LOL! They respected the property and cleaned up the area once they were done. I am a hard critic of businesses, and I rarely take the time to write reviews. This business is obviously special in that every step of the process was perfection: 1) Keith's response time was faster than the rest, and it portrayed the most professionalism out of all of the other screened companies. He was also responsible for the close-out process and satisfaction surveys. 2) My first call with the owner was about 5 minutes after I had sent an e-mail...at 10:30PM. I'm a workaholic, and I appreciate that call from Greg more than anyone can even imagine. We coordinated the details and cost of the project at that point, and he commended my due diligence on receiving the 5 upcoming quotes I had set up. The other 5 were a waste of time, and the organization factor of most just isn't as crisp as this company. 3) Christian was the first one on the job site, and he was intensely relatable. Everyone on-site was courteous to our property and wellbeing. The amount of precision and detail that was taken throughout the entire process was something that I haven't seen in a long time. They are ALL perfectionists, and the newer staff were being trained to be similar. 4) The staff didn't leave until we were completely satisfied with the aesthetics and the comfort of the AC unit. Their partnered electrician came out on the last day, and his team was also great. They were efficient perfectionists as well. The pride of doing good work was evident throughout the entire process with Controlled Comfort. The air conditioning is perfect for our space, because they didn't try to force us to buy something larger than what we needed. We were well informed from before the project initiation of what was recommended, and we stuck to the plan. 5) Closing things out was really seamless as well. Greg assured he'd be available for any consult, and there wasn't a moment he didn't stand behind his work. Closing emails and texts were all very professional, matching the rest of the experience. I'd like to reiterate the rareness of the quality of the team. My wife is likely alleviated to see my endless praise of a company coming through via text. Christian was great! Our heater turned out to be okay, just a little dust that needs to be cleaned out. He performed a carbon monoxide test that eased my concerns and he suggested a full internal clean that me and my husband are considering. But what made me so happy about this service is that Christian was so friendly and professional. I'm so used to repairman being complete jerks or really condescending, especially when talking to women. But Christian was nice and conversational. My fiance and I bought our first home at the beginning of the year and getting heat and AC up and running was a priority. Greg went above and beyond in working with us! Had a HVAC 12y old leaking condenser. Got new one and installed it with Controller Comfort. The new condenser cools very well. Christian was meticulous and careful. I've worked with them on different issues I had with my 12y old HVAC that I've inherited with condo purchase. I called up Controlled Comfort because my AC was blowing warm air when I turnt it on this afternoon. Greg the owner answered and was able to get his technician Christian out to my house within an hour ...on a Sunday!! Christian said we got lucky with an easy fix, a blown fuse that he was able to swap out right from his truck but recommended doing a full maintenance on the system to prevent problems in the future. glad he talked me into it because my air conditioner looks better than it has in years.
