We replaced it with a Google Nest thermostat but the problem persisted. Bill came by, inspected it, and let us know the motherboard had failed. There was no upselling and he quoted a fair price but also mentioned that due to the age of the unit, it might be a little tough to come by the parts. Sure enough, he was able to locate the part, and I gave approval to proceed. One week later he texted me to let me know the part was in his possession and if I was free that same day. He and his team came by, ran tests, even noticed that the Google thermostat was wired incorrectly, set it back properly, and then left after the system was indeed running correctly and heat was being generated. His company does accept Zelle payments and he and his team were friendly and I appreciated that they wore booties around their shoes and kept the work area clean while working and as they were leaving. Even now, I am still waiting for a manager to call me back with a real solution rather than more explanations for why commitments have not been honored.
