    Our furnace was acting up and not turning on. We searched through various sites and took our chances with Controlled Comfort. I strongly believe in using local businesses to help my community. Though they are a new local company, the work and professionalism provided was beyond my expectation. Christian greeted me with a smile and assured me it was a easy fix. He was very honest in his diagnosis. The pricing was fair and very affordable. I will highly recommend this company to all my friends and family.

    Just bought our new home a few months ago, and one of our first priorities was a new HVAC system. Controlled Comfort was referred to us through other promising reviews, and I couldn't be happier we chose them. Greg and his team walked us through our options (we had to go with a mini-split system due to the age of our home), and when we started work, my fiancee and I were completely comfortable with the system we selected. Greg and his team walked us through every stage of the installation, and always gave us the opportunity to weight in with our input. His team also found ways to solve problems without causing any headaches on our end. They worked around our schedule and quickly and efficiently handled the install. The CC team masterfully executed on every stage of the work, from planning to final inspection. For us, they've set a new bar of quality for any other contractor we plan to work with. I can't wait to put our new HVAC system to use and can't recommend Controlled Comfort highly enough if you're looking for HVAC repair/install work.

    We have been wanting to replace the ducts in our home for quite some time now and also because we've lived in this house for over 40 years. With wanting to find a reliable and dependable company. I've read plenty reviews on Yelp but I decided to contact Controlled Comfort due to the owners responses to his customers review, when a review was unsatisfactory Greg responses were to better their service and took accountability, it is the reason why I chose to send them a message for a project and I'm glad that I did. I received a reply right away from Keith, operation manager. He said that I will be receiving a call from the owner Greg, which was quicker than I expected. We discussed what kind of job I needed done and just like that, he scheduled to have one of his guys come by to take a look at the ducts in our attic. Christian came through a few days after my conversation from Greg, he took a look around the attic and our furnace. He suggested adding a media filter to the furnace which I ended up Googling to find out what it was and how it worked. I was sold for some better air quality in my house. These guys were professional and completed the job in one day. They did everything they said they were going to do and more. My furnace closet doesn't look as scary anymore and now looks shiny and clean. LOL! They respected the property and cleaned up the area once they were done. Greg and Christian are both awesome and did a real good job! Thanks so much guys! I would highly recommend Controlled Comfort and I will surely use them again for future HVAC jobs.

There were definitely some challenges along the way, especially with permits in our city. Apparently it is much tougher than others when it comes to permits, and it ended up requiring a lot more paperwork and extra effort than he expected. Even with all that, Cyrus stuck to his original quote and never tried to charge us more, which we really appreciated. Jaime and Jesus handled the installation of the air handler, ductwork, and heat pump. They worked hard, were very respectful of our home, kept things clean, and honestly were much quieter doing the work than I expected considering all the cutting and installation involved. They also worked hard to finish ahead of the timeline they originally gave us. Inspection passed with no issues, and now we've been using the AC for months with zero problems. Overall, we're really happy with the work and would definitely recommend them.

As someone who does a lot of my own research before hiring anyone, I appreciated that their pricing was fair and they were straightforward about what the job involved. The crew was professional and knew what they were doing. Their communication was outstanding (Hi Miranda!), and they helped to ensure I had all of the necessary paperwork to file for the rebate with LADWP. If you're on the Westside and need HVAC work, especially a rooftop packaged unit swap, I'd recommend giving them a call.

I searched for another HVAC company and found Pure Air. They sent a technician out that same evening, and he fixed the problem within an hour. What impressed me the most was the technician, Mikhail. He clearly knew what he was doing and worked with great attention to detail. He took off his shoes before entering to keep the floors clean, and he handled everything carefully with clean hands so he wouldn't leave marks on our matte white walls. (The previous technician had left dirty handprints all over the wall and the indoor AC unit.) Not only did Mikhail fix the problem quickly, but he also treated our property with genuine care and respect. That's something we really appreciated.     I recently had very bad experiences with other HVAC installation and repair companies. Between…read moregetting charged $3,000 every few months for, "topping off freon" (note: my system was installed new in 2018, so I'm not even sure if freon was the refrigerant the system needed), to proposing a $20k install of a new unit while mind was under warranty (twice), to claiming that my warranty was invalid until I set up an email thread with my HVAC company and my repair team to prove that my system was under warranty, to finally claiming that the local supply shop was "out of parts" for 6 months straight (I eventually called the shop, and they confirmed that they haven't been able to get a response from the repair team.). LONG STORY SHORT, I've been through HVAC hell, and finally decided to go with a new, local company with stellar reviews that recognized my system's warranty. Mario came to inspect the system, identified the repairs that needed to be made, was in and out within 2 hours only a day after I requested service, and not even $500 later I'm enjoying a cool, air-conditioned home. Extra points for not trying to upsell me on an entirely new system (lol - happened to me twice since buying my home, neighbors actually warned me about non-local HVAC companies), AND I can safely say that when I DO eventually need a new HVAC system, I'll be going with Manny's. To the team: You are doing things right. Between your expedient responses (even when my only free time is in the evenings), your honest, transparent communication, the fact that your repair man noticed my slippers and threw on booties before coming into the house, and your prices all denote S-Tier service. In this regard, Jesus came out to look at our AC system yesterday, which has been working only intermittently. Following a very thorough diagnostic assessment of the overall unit, Jesus suggested that we hold off installing any new parts at this time, as the system is somewhat old and doesn't provide any specifics concerning what needs to be replaced. Indeed, I appreciated Jesus's honest and straightforward assessment, as opposed to relying on guesswork to resolve the problem. At this point, I expect that we will likely be replacing our aging unit sometime this year....and, without a doubt, Manny's will be the company I call to do the job. Along with providing prompt and excellent service, the three technicians I've met from his company have all been very professional, courteous, and personable.
