When I called they told me this was a common occurrence on my car make and model and they could fix it quickly without an appointment. When I took it in I was in and out of the shop with in an hour. My 2000 Sebring needed a repair where the rear window separated from the fabric. Convertibles Only did a great job and provided some of the best customer service I've received from any company. When I first called, Les patiently explained the various options for repair, and also suggested that I bring the car in for a detailed estimate. When I brought it in, Les examined the job and answered more questions, and toured me around their shop to demonstrate what the different repair/replace options might look like, as shown on other vehicles in the shop at that time. Within a few hours, I received four detailed estimates reflecting the different options available. I chose one and made an appointment. The work was done promptly in a couple of days. I had two holes in my convertible top that needed patched. I went for a simple patch job, and they were very quick! The owners, receptionist, and repairman were all very nice and helpful at explaining my options. They did not force me or persuade me into getting my entire top replaced, even though I should have. Due to this, and the great work they did with the patching, I will be spending the $1,500 to replace my soft top next year. They even sent me a Thank You card in the mail after my service :) What a pleasant surprise! That's good business. The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5, is because they only accept cash. I don't ever carry cash because of the convenience of using a card, so I had to walk 4 blocks in the rain to get cash from an ATM in order to pay. That was very inconvenient. First, to debunk the title of the shop, they don't do just convertibles. I have a coupe that had some trim coming off both the driver and passenger side. My attempts at fixing the problem proved insufficient. I called up Convertibles Only and explained my problem. Les wasn't sure about it over the phone, so I drove over and let him look at it. He said he could absolutely fix it, and he was also upfront about how long it would last (he was somewhat skeptical). Anyway, he quoted me a price and I booked an appointment. When I picked my car up, everything looked great and better yet it was below the quoted price. I was impressed, I didn't know if they'd try to take me for a ride. These guys are MASTERS at their craft! It is so obvious that they take PRIDE in their work! I did a lot of research prior to bringing my 2003 Audi TT in here to have the rear plastic window reapplied. This entailed removing the top and then gluing it back in. They took extra precautions to ensure the window would stay in place and were also able to restore the defrost connectors and install a gutter to prevent leaking. The process was effortless. I called on the phone and got a quote. She took information and then I dropped off the vehicle prior to leaving on a trip from SeaTac. I returned five days later and picked up the car ready to go! The price was great and $2500 less than the Audi dealership wanted. They specialize in convertible tops here so if you have one like I mentioned before, these guys have dedicated their lives to learning the specific craft of convertible tops. I was having trouble with my BMW convertible top, and was referred to Convertibles Only by Strictly BMW Independent Service. I brought my car into the shop, and Les took a look at it right away. He already had some ideas based on what I had said over the phone when speaking with Kim. Turns out Les' assessment was correct. He tried a couple of things to try and fix the problem. When we lived in the Seattle area, we always had our three BMW convertibles serviced at Convertibles Only. The work was always first rate and reasonably priced. They provided us with good advice and products to help maintain our convertible tops. (We found out about CO as they were often a sponsor at the local BMW club events.) Our niece from Ontario bought my wife's Z3 and drove it home. A couple of years later, she needed a new top and was not sure what type/brand to buy. We advised her to call CO and they spent quite a bit of time helping her, knowing full well that she was not going to be buying a new top from them. Very kind. Now we live near Santa Rosa, CA and we took our M Roadster in to a local auto upholstery shop for a new rear window. One of the club members in Seattle gave us the rear window many years ago. The window has a zipper around the perimeter and zips in to the top. The little zipper pull was nowhere to be found. No one else around town had one, so on a flyer, I called CO and Kim happily sent one, No Charge, directly to the shop in Santa Rosa. Customer Service at this level is very rare indeed. I took my work-in-progress 63 Futura Convertible to Convertibles Only. It hadn't had a top on it since the mid 1980s and the one on it was rotten pretty bad. I was pleasantly surprised that the owner is there working at the shop and was one of the first people who greeted me when I brought it in. He estimated the costs before hand and the shop was very communicative with me on the few additional things found along the way that it needed in order to function properly; the time estimate was spot on. Words cannot express how thoroughly professional, honest, and helpful Les Hurlbert and his crew at Convertibles Only are. I have done business with them several times and several years now. I have owned my 1988 BMW 325ic since coming out of the showroom. After more than 240,000 miles my top was beginning to need a little care. I was recommended to CONVERTIBLES ONLY by Steve Malan at "Car Tenders" (another Wonderful and Trustworthy business) and was extremely pleased with the attention to detail, accuracy in estimates of time and expenses, workmanship, the fact that the second time I needed some attention, they rembered me from before. Again and yet again I returned to CONVERTIBLES ONLY for different repairs to my top, (the years do take a toll, even with a heated garage.) When I could not put off the inevitable (complete replacement) they were very helpful in advising the pros/cons of various fabric providers and their prices for materials. The appointment was made with care, taking into consideration how long they would need the car and being mindful of my schedule also. Les was very considerate in allowing me to even drop my car at his residence to accommodate my situation. When the work was finished, Les brought the car to his residence I picked it up there. He even gave me lessons and equipment to better care for the top in the future. Certainly I absolutely recommend Les and his staff. I have become a real walking/talking advertisement for CONVERTIBLES ONLY whenever I have a chance. Since acquiring the new top, I have more comments about the car, requests for being first refusal, etc. Lastly, if you want a pleasant experience going back down Memory Lane, (or visiting a museum if you memory doesn't go back that far) - Just drop in for a few minutes and I absolutely guarantee there will be some fantastic cars to see - The only one I have seen consistently is a black Lincoln (I believe) from the 1940s. I reached out to Less the owner to discuss repair on my 04 BMW M3 that had a leaking cylinder for the convertible top. Not only was he super helpful over the phone, but then offered to take a look at it when I was clearly looking for guidance to do the work myself. When I came by, he was really fantastic to work with, friendly, and jumped right out to look over the issue and give me advice on how to fix it. He even had the emails and pictures I had sent him printed out to look at as well. All of this when I was going to drive away and not actually have him do the work.
