Burger tray half half Cajun fries and onion rings

Everything was delicious. Got a burger tray with half fries and half onion rings. Also got a shake (more like ice cream) Super quick line. I like how they have the line going on the opposite side for the passenger to pay. Friendly staff.

Cook Out is usually a decent amount of fast food for the price, but I was definitely disappointed with the quality of this visit. I ordered a Jr. Tray (small burger) with a corn dog and onion rings. The burger was good, but the corn dog and onion rings were slightly on the cold side. My husband ordered a double burger with hushpuppies and fries. There were barely any fries in his tray. We also ordered two different milkshakes, but they gave us two of the same flavor. Service is typically quick, but this location is a nightmare trying to get in and out of from the traffic of the cars. They are building a new Cook Out across the street so hopefully that should help the flow of traffic better. I'd give Cook Out another shot because I know they've done better before.

Food came out hot and good last night with great portions of fries! And the sodas were not watered down. The only downside was that they had no bags and condiments and didn't give me any straws for my drinks.

I usually enjoy cookout. This is by far the rudest location I have EVER been to. They cut you off while ordering. When you drive up to the window to pick up your food the employees are vaping while they cook and take orders. You can see piles and piles of trash and debris all over the floor. (I understand back of house can get messy, I've been in the service industry for over 15 years, but there is an absolute limit between it being "rush time messy" and absolutely filthy. Then to make it all better the employees find themselves getting irritated with the guest when the employee made their order incorrect. Someone from corporate definitely needs to take a look at how this location operates.

Second time at cookout in NC and I'm obsessed! Service has been amazing both times. I will say I get overwhelmed with the menu but it's by far my favorite fast food place down there! Their Corn dog, onion rings, and hush puppies are everything. The spicy chicken sandwich was a bit dry, but the flavor was there. Will definitely be back!

food tastes fine. but i ask for a cheeseburger with pickles, and then they put 7 rings of onions. and the patty is practically half the size of the bun. and out of ranch? come on. disappointing.

LOVE their BBQ. I am a big fan of the BBQ I used to get in Lexington. This BBQ is almost as good, but not the same. It chopped, very lean, not overly sauced. Note: I CANNOT tolerate Texas Pete at all. I can't eat if it has that sauce. The slaw is a good condiment for the BBQ. BUT THE HUSH PUPPIES CAN BE EXQUISITE. They very mild, and usually cooked nicely. My last order was perfection, never had them be greasy.The sweet tea is always fresh. GREAT VALUE lots of food for the money. My family loves the milkshakes & quesadias, but the BBQ is the best.

It's cheap greasy food. You can't really complain about the food when your paying nothing for it. Milkshakes are the reason I go, as all of you know pick whatever flavors you want they will make. Cajun season on the fries are also a good decision. read more

I gave this a five because they are open late and around burlington everything closes before 10pm. The food is great... because they use a ton of butter. Cheap 5 dollar tray come with a drink which is the main deal there. I have never seen a white person working in one of these. read more

i loveeeee cookout. everytime i go there the people are always nice. i go here like every night after work because the food is cheap and great. my food has always been hot and fresh. i like how they stay open really late because nothing else is hardly open in burlington late at night. read more

If I could leave this 1 star I would. I have been going to this cookout for 20+ years. Today upon TRYING to order we weren't even able to get food because of how rude the workers were here. I have never left a yelp review but but decided to as I sit in Dairy Queen drive through next door to cookout getting food for my children. This experience was absolutely ridiculous. I will never spend money at the Burlington Cookout ever again in my life. I'll drive to the Greensboro location before I give them my money ever again. Does not matter how good the food is if your workers are rude af. Hire better people to work at your business instead of entitled teenagers that need a reality check. Complete garbage and worst location in NC. read more
