I wish I could give zero, but I was with my brothers after seeing the BTR concert and went to get food for 2 of us and they forgot all the sides to the trays we ordered and questioned on if we were lying about not getting food. They said a side of nuggets are 3 nuggets but a double side is only 5...The math isn't mathing to me personally. We didn't receive a spoon for our milkshake or any napkins after asking for them instead they shut the window in our face.

The nuggets on the side were just three... thus sandwich was sad. Do not buy this Cajun chicken sandwich cuz it wasn't great.

Service was iight, I ordered before and it was good. Second time coming to this place and I got some wack chicken sandwich. I'm sure the other things on the menu are good

We went through the drive thru to get a quick bite, but it was very slow. When it was our turn to give our order, the order taker was extremely nice & patient. We placed our order, got to the window, paid, and waited...and waited...and waited. We finally got our food and pulled off to a parking spot to eat. When we opened our boxes, the only thing fresh (and burnt) were the hushpuppies. The nuggets were cold & the chicken strips were cold/over cooked. They were so dry that even bbq sauce couldn't bring them to life or get them down my throat. So, they were trashed. For what we paid, our food should have been edible at least. Cookout isn't my favorite fast food restaurant. I went there because it was close to the interstate. That was our first and last time there.

    Lack of sides. It's ridicules.

I normally come to this cookout and am satisfied with the food. Not impressed, but "OK" with my results. Even late night. But tonight???? NoooooooooJust got home on a Friday night. WTF is this? I got a Cookout tray with a burger and onion rings and cheese bites. This is ridicules! It's so small. Not like the normal portions. What is happening? I'm not happy at all.

Reg Hamburg. large sprite cheese bites and corn dog w/ ketchup mustard

I've been hearing good things about this burger chain and had the opportunity to check them out with my son recently on a weekday around noon. The location off Indian River/I-64 and across from Regent University is good from a business standpoint due to a lot of traffic. The parking lot is tiny and not easy to maneuver however. This appears to be why their surface sign has been backed into. There was minimal debris in the parking lot, walk in front clean. This is the first Cookout I've ever been to, so when approaching the menu board I had to take a few minutes to study the concept and variety of items and sides including a whopping 40+ shakes. The prices were startling reasonable. I asked the woman what they did best. She said burgers most popular. She said they are not frozen. I ordered a cheeseburger with side of onion rings and corn dog. My son a cheeseburger with double side of fries. I got a fountain drink, my son a shake which are also reasonably priced. The cashier was friendly enough and helpful. The small dining room was packed. Floors and a few empty booths clean. Our order was called out around 10 minutes, not bad but is this "fast food". The food comes in styrofoam no matter what. I do not like this and wish they had an eat-in option with no styrofoam. The food was all hot. The burgers above average, fries tasty and per my son shake yum. I did not care for the onion rings, but corn dog was good. A trip to the men's restroom prior to departing. There was some minor debris on the floor. Overall, clean with proper supplies and everything worked. You have option of paper towels, or hand dryer. I can see myself coming back to this location, or trying another. 3.5 seems perfect for this visit. Rounding down to a 3.

It's one of the few old school Hot Dog Shops that still feature the iconic Norfolk Dog. The spot closes at 3pm each day. There was plenty of time to stop. The location is on Azalea Garden Road about 2 blocks north of Princess Anne Road. Don't expect a picturesque spot. This building is located in the midst of warehouses, car repair shops & such. Lew's was obviously packed with people wanting those few last days of the wonderful Norfolk Dogs. Parking was around the front & side of the shop & on the street. Even the "no parking" area was filled. We stepped directly into an earlier time. And I loved it. Seating was mainly around the counter. I would have loved to have eaten there. But we had just had donuts in Ghent. So we ordered at the cramped takeout counter, The cook, who I suspect was the owner's wife, cooked on a small grill near the front window. A young man took the orders, writing each takeout order on a paper bag for the cook. The proprietor busily did everything. He was personable & funny. He had his rules, just like his long gone competitors, We sat at the counter and talked to a customer who had driven down from Arlington. He obviously knew the place well as the owner bantered with him. When our order was ready we left, a little sad that we couldn't stay and eat. It had been so much fun. The Norfolk Dogs were wonderful. They're snap dogs, customarily served only with mustard, chili & onions. Lew's did allow other condiments added, even serving French fries. You could get thrown out of some of his former competitors for asking for catsup or potato chips. There must be a return before they close. I want to sit and eat at the counter. I want to come out with that familiar smell of onions in my hair. By the way, they're still open to selling the shop. It comes with the secret recipe for their chili sauce. Norfolk Dog lovers need this eatery to remain open. Don't let them be lost to time.

On the way home from the Yelp Event at O's Donuts, I remembered Lew's was closing this weekend. Luckily Lew's was right on our way home so we decided to stop and get orders to go. We walked in to a packed house and lots of others placing orders to go. Cash only signs were posted in several places so I was prepared when it was my turn to order and pay. Everyone was friendly and greeted each other and engaged in conversation. I felt like I had stepped back in time to a kinder, gentler place. I'm very sad that we are losing another piece of Norfolk history. The hotdogs were just as good as I remembered, as well as their French fries. One thing that caught my attention as we waited was the stools at the counter. This old Norfolk girl immediately said to my Friend, "these aren't stools, they are chairs with backs on them just like the lunch counters in Peoples Drug Store and Woolworth's when I was a kid." Loved this little walk down memory lane today. Happy retirement Lew, You will be missed.

I walked in on 12/3/25 with excitement and anticipation. Boujiee is a tiny place - they could easily be mistaken for a simple bar. Their interior, though, looks modern, organized and clean. Plus, it's well-lit, so it definitely doesn't have that dark look and feel of a bar. Upon entry, a server quickly greeted me and told me I could sit anywhere. She was kind and helpful, and immediately knew it was my first visit. When I confirmed that notion, she proceeded to give me a rundown of the entire menu. She didn't have to do that, but I felt like ordering everything afterwards because everything sounded amazing, haha. I settled on a soda (which they sell in bottles), a couple of bottled beers, the Dougie Fair Dog and Corned Beef Fries. Boujiee's glizzys are meals - each item on their menu is full of ingredients and toppings. Normally, I can devour 2 hot dogs in a single sitting, but at Boujiee you better be hungry to finish off 2 or more. The Dougie Fair includes spicy Polish sausage, grilled peppers, onions, melted cheddar and mustard, all on a hoagie bun. Dougie had some kick, so it wasn't super spicy, but I definitely enjoyed this item. I also had the Corned Beef Fries (crinkle fries, corned beef hash, cheddar, fried egg) which was as hearty as it was delicious. I was barely able to finish them both, but they were so good I almost had to. Based on this visit alone, Boujiee Dogs is a five-star food spot. Along with the impeccable service, this may become a part of my food spot rotation. I look forward to many future visits. Thank you, Boujiee Dogs! JV

The lobster roll is the star of the show--tender, juicy, buttery perfection piled into a soft roll like it knows exactly how important it is. I will say, the amount of lobster seems to have slimmed down a little over the years...maybe an ounce or so? And yes, I noticed. I have photographic evidence! I've been sending pictures of these glorious lobster rolls to my sister for years purely to rub this delicacy in her face, so I basically have my own unofficial lobster-roll archive. The crinkle-cut fries are another must, especially with a little Old Bay sprinkled on top. That tiny dusting takes them from "good fries" to "hand me another basket immediately." And don't sleep on the fried shrimp platter. The shrimp are plentiful, nicely seasoned, and consistently one of my favorites when I somehow manage to order something besides lobster.
