Sweet sugar coma dreams for sure! Place is super cute and it's such a great idea. I would definitely recommend getting a small because it's too sweet to tackle even that much in one sitting. They encourage customers to keep in the fridge for up to five days or bake but I was all doughed-out. I love that they have a vegan option with chocolate chips. The dough had a great flavor to it but I'm a freak and like my dessert on the less-sweet side so as much as I might not regularly return, I would highly recommend this dessert place to others. Dreams do come true! As I'm sure a vast majority of the populace can also say, I grew up thriving by licking the spoon whenever anyone in my childhood kitchen baked, especially when cookies were involved. With that being said, I'm super into this whole edible cookie dough concept. It's safe for consumption and tastes just like my childhood. I was in the LA area recently and decided I really wanted to try an edible cookie dough place while I was around. We don't have any in Vegas yet, but they're in the works. I didn't want to wait around for it, so I dropped into Cookie Dough Dreams. It's located in a pretty nice shopping area. The girl at the front counter was very helpful and thorough in explaining how things work. There are many flavors. You can sample before deciding on committing to one. I chose peppermint since it defines the winter season, and I loved it! If you have any cookie dough left, it's apparently bakeable, which is cool. I will start off by saying this is definitely unique, very good, a cute store and great service. A friend wanted to try this place for his birthday, so a small group of us paid this place a visit. I mean, who doesn't like cookie dough. I truly liked what I ordered (chocolate chip cookie dough with Andes mints). I was initially going to order a kids size for myself, but since 2 of us were sharing we went with a medium, thinking it was about 2 kid sized portions. Honestly, we would have been fine sharing 1 kids size portion. So as good as it is, here is where overwhelm comes into play. Any time I make cookies, I take 1 or 2 spoon fulls of the dough and eat it instead of baking it. That amount has always been more than satisfying. When I come into a cute place like this, I happen to forgot those little things and my eyes become bigger than my stomach (or in this case more sugar than I could possibly handle at one time). What can you expect once inside? Cookie Dough Dreams is a medium-sized parlor celebrating whimsy and charm with pastel tones and retro meets candy/ice cream shop. The toppings/mix-in wall stands to the right while a seating area with cupcake cushions, colorful chairs, and balloon light fixtures completes the left-end, perfect for Instagram and social media photos. I've been here twice, and it is so intensely good. The interior reminds me of my easy bake oven i had as a kid. It's so whimsical and pink and and just makes me so happy. I am an avid lover of cinnamon so i must say that their snickerdoodle is phenomenal (staff trick- pop it in the microwave for about 30 seconds, i promise you, it's bomb). For my second visit i mixed the snickerdoodle with peanut butter. The peanut butter is freaking amazing!! Ok i am so hyped just thinking about it, hahaha i can't wait to go back and try their other flavors. My partner has tried the brownie batter and said it was also superb. The first time I tried a cookie dough ice cream was when I visited the Museum of Ice Cream. If you had also been there, you know I'm referring to the black stuff the museum gives out in one of the rooms. I didn't like it, not because of its color but due to taste. One lick and I threw that nasty stuff away. This ice cream was coarse to the palate and felt like eating sand. For someone like me who eats anything, the food has to be really bad for me to throw it away. Cookie dough ice cream is now a booming trend. I get, it's organic, it's healthy, it's naturally processed but it isn't really my cup of tea. Then this store came to the City of Burbank. It finally opened its doors yesterday, 6/22/18 at 5:30pm. As a curious yelper, I was one of the first few customers. The store is beautifully decorated with walls ready for your social media pics. I headed to the counter and found out that they offer unlimited toppings for any ice cream on Opening Day. I went ahead to try two flavors and I'm sorry to say that my feelings toward cookie dough is still the same. I still didn't like it. This is definitely a case of "it's me, not you" kind of situation. My friend and I had stopped by here on Friday, June 24, upon my friend's recommendation. The cookie dough was amazing! My friend and I traveled from Northern California to visit our other friends, who live in Southern California. On our way there, we had planned to stop by here for a nice delicious treat. My friend who has gone before a couple years ago, said that the customer service then was MUCH better, and the person (she believes it was the owner), was much nicer. I couldn't see a name tag on the employee's shirt, however, I hope she can work on her customer skills, just to make it a more friendly environment to walk into. Especially this being in a touristy location, I feel that this is extremely important to greet your customers with a smile and simply being kind. A few examples included when we had asked about the sampler box. She replied with, "It's there on display," in a blunt, abrupt tone. Another was we felt rushed. Taste 4/5 While I was expecting a little more cinnamon the in the Snickerdoodle, the cookie dough in general was DIVINE. It's cool (perfect for summer), fluffy in texture and very sweet. I love sweet. I recommend trying the Chocolate Chip cookie dough because the slightly bitter chips balance out some sweetness. Or get a side of soft serve. Love this place! Delicious treats and fun atmosphere. But I really wanted to shout out a great employee, Anthony. He was super nice and helpful. But he really went above and beyond when I accidentally left my drink on the counter. My friend and I mentioned that we were going to an ice cream place afterward, and he actually tracked us down and brought us my drink! I mean, who does that?? So sweet! Okay people- EDIBLE COOKIE DOUGH. This is not a drill. I came here with a friend and loved that you can choose mix ins! Mine ended up being super sweet, but I brought it home and refrigerated it overnight and it was perfection the next day! It's very instagrammable inside and the workers are super nice! Fun vibes, fun product. You gotta try it at least once. This would be a super fun place to bring kids! THANKS YELP!!!! I found this place by doing a quick search on yelp. After dinner we wanted a nice dessert to cap off the night. Found this place and the name alone caught our attention. I MEAN WHO DIDNT EAT RAW COOKIE DOUGH AS A KID!!! Even after all the the warnings the grow folks gave us growing up Ina would always sneak in a few raw bites... bwuahahahah lol Anyway... back to my review.. we drove over and luckily found street parking right in front. The decor is very instagram/social media ready. They have a nice backsplash wall behind the sitting area and area cushions Shapley like cookie ice creams. You order the type of dough you want first.. AND YES, THE WAY ITS PREPARED HERE, IT'S SAFE TO EAT RAW. Next you can choose two toppings for free and .25 cents for any additional toppings oooorrrr you can go with any premade house flavors that they offer. We decided to make our own, I got the chocolate chip cookie dough with Twix and Oreo cookies and topped with a swirl soft serve (you have the option of chocolate vanilla or swirl). I was craving dessert but tired of the same old ice cream/ cookies. After some online research, I went to Cookie Dough Dreams. It wasn't hard to find with the map, but it's not in an ideally easy, high foot-traffic area either. Upon entrance, it was very pink and fun looking. The guy behind the counter was really polite, asked how my day was going, and explained how things work after I told him it was my first time there. The cookie dough tastes good but, unless you're a fanatic, the smallest size is sufficient. The seating area has tables and chairs, a bench, and a sofa with scented pillows. When we saw that there was a cookie dough shop, we decided to change our plans to grab some ice cream and head over there. Down an alley from the movie theater, around the corner, and voila - a brightly colored shop slanging "edible" dough (sidenote: it's all edible, but I think they're trying to note you aren't going to leave with salmonella). We each ordered, and got a softball size helping of dough. We topped this with some soft serve, and some mix ins. So the soft serve was kind of mediocre. I mean, it wasn't horrible, but it wasn't anything to write home about. Good selection of mix-ins. The dough was good... at first. It's a LOT to eat. Maybe that's on us for scarfing down the whole serving, but it was kind of overwhelming. And texturally, it kind of starts to get meh as you go on. Get a small. Or a kid's size. Probably wouldn't go back - it feels more like a one time novelty - but it was OK for what it was. read more
