This place is so GOOD! I mean who doesn't love eating cookie dough?! And this cookie dough is edible safe! I was completely impressed that there was vegan options for me to eat! My boyfriend and I came to the Burbank town center a little early for our movie and we saw the sign and decided to check this place out. The owner is so adorable and welcomes everyone in their first time! Fun fact, apparently this is the first cookie dough bar in LA. The feng shui of this place is so cute & made perfect for every girls Instagram feed. lol One thing I would suggest is having maybe water available, like how Yogurt land offers it? Because the cookie dough is so rich in flavor and water would be nice. They do sell water bottles but I didn't think about purchasing one in the moment and by the time I needed a refreshment there was a long line of new customers and only two staff members so I didn't want to wait back in line or stand by the register and expect to be helped. The best part about Cookie Dough Dreams is not, as one would think, the cookie dough (although it tastes great). The best part, and the selling point of this store, is the experience. From the dream cloud lights to the 50's themed music, this store is a fun experience for the whole family. There are many cute and quirky art installments in the shop, and the bright colors make you feel like you're in a 1950's technicolor flashback. CDD works similar to any frozen yogurt place, in that the guests choose their own dough flavor and then choose toppings to go with it it. In fact, one of the options is adding soft serve ice cream (chocolate, vanilla, or both). You're able to sample the dough flavors beforehand, but you're sure to fall in love with the first flavor you try. I had the pleasure of eating a sugar cookie dough mixed with crunchy crushed butterfingers and tiny reeces cups. One tip: get a size or two smaller than you think you can eat. The dough is so rich that a couple spoon fulls will have you satisfied. However, as advised by the owner herself, you can take home whatever you don't finish and bake it into a batch of cookies. Adorable. I had seen an article about this place online (The Burbank Leader, I think) but never pieces together where it was. I was out and about last night and we had an hankering for something sweet and decided to give it a shot. What a fun concept. It took an explanation to figure out how the whole system worked but it's great. They let you sample. Everyone that works there seems really friendly and helpful. The main gal behind the register is the owners sister. She was very fun and friendly and I love that it's a family business! The price is fair and they have lots of options for things to get and ways to mix it up so it's not a "once and done" sort of place. The only weird thing is the location, it's right by everything but it's on that weird strip of Magnolia just past Flappers, kind of a dead zone. I know I never have been on that part of the street on purpose before. But if people know to look for it it can do great. Finally made it here! It was worth the drive. This little gem is a delicious stop and who doesn't like to eat the cookie dough. The owner Kara is a sweetheart and I hope she does well. I asked for suggestions and tried the snickerdoodle. Very flavorful and is the one I chose with some ice cream on top. I ordered a small and it is still a huge portion. It is very rich and while I couldn't eat it all, I did confirm that you can cook the cookie dough later if you can't eat it all. It will keep in the fridge for 5 days! I also bought two of the brownie bites with chocolate chip cookie dough on top to take home for my boys. They also look delicious and can't wait to surprise the kids. My son kept thinking we were getting ice cream as the shop is set up similar to a Cold Stone or Baskin Robbins and I reminded him that this was all cookie dough in the bins and not ice cream. He selected the s'mores cookie dough with Reeses Pieces and some other mix in. The girl scooped out the cookie dough (like an ice cream shop) and mixed in the toppings and put it into the cup. I was reading that they use fresh ingredients and the cookie dough is safe to eat while the dessert was being prepared. They have a variety of flavors and then special desserts they can create. Nothing sounded particularly tempting to me. We paid (I'd say borderline pricy for what you get) and then sat down to enjoy the cookie dough. My 3 year old loved it and he polished off the whole thing except the few bites I had in between. It does taste good, and I do love cookie dough so I was happy about that but didn't really feel the s'more flavor as we had mixed in some other things. Overall, an interesting and tasty idea. They have a ton of options to choose from, cookie dough flavors where you can add your own mix-ins and also some pre-mixed specialty flavors. I got the vegan flavor, which was classic chocolate chip cookie dough and it was super good! I mixed in sprinkles and marshmallows and loved the combo, and it actually tasted like real cookie dough! The place itself is really nice inside. Based on the other reviews I'm reading, you're able to mix in 2 things for free. No one informed us of this, so we missed out on adding any extra goodies. We sampled a couple of flavors and were kind of in a rush, but ended up getting a mini cup of chocolate chip and cookies and cream sugar cookie dough. It was $6 for the tiny cup, which I thought was a lot until we realized how hard it was to finish. Two of us shared it and I could hardly finish it (and I'm not one to leave food on my plate). It was extremely sweet but not in a tasty way, just like sugary, dry, flavorless dough. I also love straight up chocolate chip cookie dough and was hoping it would taste like that but "safe." I brought some of it home and microwaved it, thinking warm/half baked cookie dough would make it better, but it just confirmed that it wasn't very good cookie dough. I was worried when I first saw the ice cream because you know when you can kinda tell that its the bad ice kind or the machine is not working properly? I could tell, but wanted to try it first since they gad a TV crew in there and everything... so it must be ok right? blargh I should have brought it back in and refused it or confirmed this was how its supposed to be. If they gave me ice cream from a machine not working properly thats annoying they would sell it knowing the thing is not working properly... they have been open long enough now to know better. If thats how the ice cream is normally (maybe its made with some kind of fake skim milk or whatever?) thats gross. Why bother having it? What a way to get your cookie dough fix! This shop was beautifully decorated, full of fun and color. There was a large variety of different cookie dough flavors, all safe for raw consumption, yet fully able to be baked at home! One wall was adorned with multiple dispensers of different candies. You could choose multiple flavors of cookie dough and have different candies mixed in. You could also add ice cream to this if you desire. On our visit, we wanted to pick up some treats for some pals. The shop had these tiny little sugar cones that you could fill with a scoop of cookie dough, cannolis they would fill with your choice of cookie dough flavor, and they even had cupcakes with cookie dough in them. The staff was very friendly, and grabbed our baked good items fresh from the kitchen instead of taking them from the display case. This is a killer place for photos too! read more
