After getting four estimates we got a good feeling about Cool Air Solutions. They did an extensive inspection and we felt we would be well taken care of. They ended up doing a fantastic job. They did everything they said they would and more. They replaced all the duct work, gave us new directional registers, and added insulation in our attic. The installers, Bob and Anthony, made the experience fun. They did high quality work and since the installation our house has been cool and easy to regulate. Cool Air came out yesterday and today to install a brand new HVAC system--we had nothing in the home, so we were starting from scratch. I am a homeowner in Murrieta, CA and had a significant problem with the efficiency of my Air Conditioning and Heating Units, as well as dust inside my home. I am writing this review because my expectations were exceeded by COOL AIR SOLUTIONS as it related to the Quality, Price, and Manner in which they performed their services. And also the RESULTS they achieved for me. COOL AIR SOLUTIONS resolved my issues by installing a variable speed motor in my Forced Air Units, Adjusting my Heating and A/C Units, Installing a New Digital Thermostat w/ Recirculating Feature and a Lennox MERV 16 Air Filtering System. After the work was completed I noticed a "Significant" and "Immediate" decrease in the amount of dust accumulating on my furniture. The new Variable Speed Motor they installed and the specialized recirculating setting on the new thermostat recirculated the air in my home once per hour. From that point forward the manner in which my 3800 square foot home heated-up was like night/day compared to the old system. I noticed a "decrease" in my electric bill as well. I also received rebates off the system they installed because COOL AIR SOLUTIONS is one of the few company's in my area that is certified by EDISON to provide rebates to customers for improving the efficiency of their HVAC systems. It is now summer time and COOL AIR SOLUTIONS came back to complete the summer time maintenance test on the new system they installed in the colder months. I have to tell you that once again I was amazed at the difference in the efficiency in the manner in which the A/C cooled my home with the upgrades they performed to my old system. The amount of times my A/C cycles on during the course of an hour has been reduced by more than 50%. This was nothing short of amazing to me. I cannot say at this time about any reductions in my summer time energy bill, but I have to believe I will see a savings. I want to also mention when COOL AIR SOLUTIONS removed my MERV 16 Air Filter it was about 70% full. No wonder my home had less dust! Lastly, I cannot say enough about Jay with COOL AIR SOLUTIONS. He was Pleasant, Professional, Very Knowledgeable/Competent and Honest. The system he installed did "exactly" what he said it would. The air conditioner at my property stopped working. Had one company come out to diagnose. I never received a straight answer on what was wrong. He told me for about a $1000 he could get it going for a while. I could not say good bye quick enough. Found cool air solutions. Selena set me up with Jay. We had Cool Air put in an entire unit of Furnace, A/C and an electronic thermostat a year and half ago. On Sunday (1/22/17) our thermostat stopped working and wouldn't communicate with our furnace. Adam came out on Wednesday to evaluate our problem. He is very friendly and knowledgable. He communicated with us the entire time. After carefully evaluating the problem, he was able to solve our problem without having to relocate the thermostat which may have been the only way to solve the problem. He let us know that if we had any further problems he or someone else would be out again. He called the next day to find out if our unit was still working. The reason I gave four stars instead of 5 is because we had to wait two days to have someone come out and we had some very cold nights. read more

Worst service ever. Had a cracked pan (from manufacturing error) in 3 year old home. Called these people first in order to diagnose leaking over flow drain. They determined that coils were bad, oil leaking from coils, cracked pan and no shut off valve and refrigerant low. To the tune of over $2000. Almost all lies. Rip off artist. Do not give them your business or at least get multiple opinions. I am a contractor and understand what is right and what is so wrong. read more

My HVAC system was 17 years old, tired, noisy, inefficient, and ready to be replaced. Jay came out to my house and quoted three different Lennox system options. In the end, we were able to negotiate a good deal for a new Lennox Elite EL116XC1/Lennox SL280 system. Jordan and the install team arrived on site a few days later and installed the new system. I can't imagine a better AC company! Our 30 year old AC finally died completely and we needed to replace everything including new ducts. I had already gotten 2 quotes and was really happy with one of them when a friend told me they had a great experience with Cool Air Solutions. Brian came out to give me an estimate. He patiently walked me through everything and explained that they were one of the few companies that was certified to qualify me a SCE rebate. They were clearly a much higher tech company than my previous favorite quote (also highly reviewed on yelp) with detailed measurements I'm assuming were for the rebate. They also used higher quality brands so I was amazed when his price came in $1600 under the previous low bid. Brian was personable and awesome - he actually talked me out of some higher priced options since I was planning to move in a few years! The install was smooth. The team didn't leave any mess at all and all the guys were great. Our thermostat had a glitch but Nathan brought out a higher quality one to replace it at no extra charge. We have been with another company with their service membership and they are the company that installed the HVAC system a few years ago. We haven't been that pleased with them, such as them often putting the customer on "stand-by," meaning they won't even give you a window for arrival and then it could turn into "rollover" which means they will come the NEXT day. I called Cool Air Solutions and quickly got a two hour window for my appointment. Jimmy Garcia was my technician and called me about 30 minutes before arrival within the two hour arrival window. He was always very good about keeping me informed. He was also very nice and competent. I ended up purchasing two premium surge protectors which wasn't even the reason for my call. He was also very good about explaining the whole situation and what was done in the invoice. Others I would give high marks to were Michael, quality control supervisor; Holly, John, Travis, and Vanessa at the office. My wife and I highly recommend this company! read more

I moved to my new home in Southern California in July right when the area was experiencing record heat. Well over 100 degree heat. So the very first thing we ran into was an upstairs HVAC system that was not operating very well. Granted, with those temperatures any system will be taxed but our downstairs was handling the heat infinitely better than the upstairs. So over the month we had 2 different local AC companies take a look. The first company was sent out by my home warranty company. He looked at my filters and said to clean them, looked at my outside units for about 10 minutes and said everything was fine. We went back and forth because I clearly did not feel he really looked that hard. He just wanted out of there so off he went. Next I called a local company referenced to me by a neighbor. They actually did go into my attic to look at my duct work. But they took a peak and told me I needed brand new duct work and wanted to charge me $3700. Maybe I did need new duct work but I know you can't tell after about 2 minutes looking at it. Finally I spoke to someone I know that works in the HVAC business and they suggested I call Cool Air Solutions. 1. First of all I viewed their website. Very informative and has a picture of all their people. So the first person showing up at my door I already could recognize. 2. I bought two annual maintenance programs for my 10 year old Lennox so he spent quite a bit of time working on the standard furnace tune ups for both units. At least an hour if not more. 3. Then he went through the duct work in my attic. He came down and sat down with me and we walked through his notes, drawings, and calculations. He did a very good job explaining to me what I have currently around duct work quality and airflow. He then went through what he thinks I need to help the situation in 3 different options. Simply put, my airflow was too low based on the duct work design. 4. Next he told me he would go back to the office and work up a quote with options. The next day I receive a quote by email from the office outlining clearly the cost of the 3 options we walked through the previous day. I had questions which were answered in less than an hour from the same technician who was on another job. 5. I chose an option and within 3 days the install crew showed up on time. They spent a few hours installing the run, cleaned up after themselves, showed me exactly what they had done and off the went. So based on my prior two experiences there is no comparison. Cool Air Solutions are very professional, very customer focused, very competent, very precise, and I trust what they are telling me because they take the time to show me. Both their office staff and their field people are very nice and easy to conduct business. If feels like they have the right company culture to have such good characteristics so widespread. We had a full HVAC installation (furnace and AC). Essentially, all we needed to do was a couple quick calls and open the door throughout the process. They make it very, very easy, taking care of everything from planning to final permits. And you can get them on the phone within just a couple rings every time. Very friendly and professional. I called Monday morning to ask how much the diagnostic charge was for a/c repair. It was $49. I called later that day around 5 pm to ask another question and got a machine on which I left a message. I called again Tuesday around 10 I think because I hadn't gotten a call back yet. I think they're busy. The lady on the phone was very nice and we set an appointment for Saturday. Ten minutes later she called back to let me know there was a cancellation! So I got an appointment for Wednesday 4-6. I was excited! Wednesday around 3 something, Jay calls me to tell me he's running early and am I available. I said yes please. He was very polite and professional. He uses those little booties to cover his boots when he comes inside the house. He vacuumed up the rodent filth around the a/c and fixed what needed to be fixed. I asked a million questions and he patiently answered all of them. Now our a/c works and everyone is happy. I recommend Cool Air Solutions. If you reach a machine, just keep calling. read more

Jay came out to see what the problem was with my furnace. He performed some maintenance and made some observations. He explained everything to me and didn't try to sell me a new furnace or new parts. He explained that the furnace is old and hadn't been maintained. With the maintenance he performed, the heat was flowing again. We had six HVAC companies bid for the job. Cool Air Solutions was the only one who brought up using the rebates from Energy Upgrade California program and the SCE rebate program. Justin was also the most knowledgeable guy to quote us out of all the companies who we asked to submit a proposal. As a result their bid was the best and included basic air sealing of the attic, insulation to R40 in the attic, replacing our can lighting with LED lights which use 1/4 the energy and give off no heat, replacing our shower heads, and most importantly they replaced and sealed new duct work and dampers, installed and sealed new intake and return bar style registers which provide much, much better airflow, sealed the return box from dust and dirt, added filter driers, and installed a reliable high efficiency Lennox furnace and A/C system that was sized properly after taking load calculations. In fact our A/C system got downsized because of the load calculations, which saves us money and energy! Bob was the job foreman and his skills and experience were quite evident from the start. He's also got a great sense of humor and personalty and was actually enjoyable to work with. His right hand man Anthony is also highly skilled and did the replacement of the A/C unit outside, replaced and installed all the ductwork, sealed the attic and ductwork, etc. Mike came by on day two to test the new ductwork for leaks as well as test the whole house for leaks using a blower door test. The install passed brilliantly and well within the requirement of the Energy Upgrade California rebate and SCE programs. He also taught me a couple of things about safely using our oven. We were also impressed by the coordination behind the scenes as a truck rolled up at just the right time to deliver new equipment, another to take the old equipment away, and a third to bring the blown-in insulation system to the job. I forget the insulation guys name (sorry) but he too did his job with a smile and was very nice. He and Anthony were up in the attic on a hot day at the end of the job blowing in insulation, which did not look like a fun job, yet they did it with a smile and did it until it was done right. The results are beyond what we had hoped for. For the first time in 23 years every room in our house is cooled comfortably, and quickly. You can feel the air reach the opposite wall in every room, which never happened before. No more rooms that never quite get cool enough! The house not only cools off fast but also stays that way, and the system is quiet too; we never used to run the A/C when we slept because of the noise of the old unit. This new system we don't hear, what a relief! The old system used to be so loud we'd also have to turn up the TV volume in the living room to hear, not so anymore! It's like living in a different house! In the end it was a very big job with lots going on but they did it with skill and experience, did it the right way and got us the most impact for our dollar. Our home is actually comfortable to live in for the first time since we moved here 23 years ago! I only wish we hired them many years ago, we had no idea it would make that big of a difference in the comfort of our home. Thank you Cool Air Solutions! We had our furnace and A/C replaced in December by Cool Air Solutions, and we have been very satisfied with the whole process - sales, installation and follow-up service. They were able to come up with a solution to our problem of the master bedroom being too hot in the winter and not cold enough in the summer without having to use a zoned system. They also installed vibration isolators to eliminate the noise of the compressor being transmitted through the walls. Jay came out to diagnose the problem with our AC unit and made the visit surprisingly enjoyable. He is definitely knowledgeable about his trade and was great to chat to while he worked on the unit. He was very upfront and honest about what we needed and didn't try to sell us any "upgrades" or unnecessary costly repairs. The price was very reasonable and he's sold us on signing up with the company for bi-annual maintenance on our heater and AC from now on. Not only will we save on repairs in the long run, the maintenance program members get a 15% discount on any work that might need to be done in the future. Just purchased a home two months ago and after turning on the heater two times, the Furnace was giving off Excessive Levels of Carbon Monoxide! Gas company came out and red tagged my furnace. I contacted CoolAir systems for a failure on one of our two AC systems. They responded within a reasonable time and repaired the systems capacitor. It resolved the issue and the system was backup. It lasted two hours and the system failed again. We requested sales contact us and see about system replacement. Darren Faught contacted me and we setup a meeting. We ended up financing a 5 ton replacement unit for the two 2.5 ton units we had. During the sales meeting, it was advised that they would repair the attic opening since the unit was bigger than the opening. When I offered the services of a known repairman, he assumed I was offering to pay for the repair to which I never stated I would have the repair performed at my expense. That was not the case, I was simply offering the services of a local merchant. He stated to me that CoolAir would repair the opening. He also stated he would contact me after the installation and show me how to operate the system. After the installation, no one contacted me to schedule the repair. We had a vibration issue in the wall from the refrigerant pipe touching the inlet and causing an unacceptable vibration noise in the house. They responded in a timely manner and resolved that issue. When I advised him of this and that I was still waiting for the repair of the opening, he responded that "I said I was going to repair it" and I had never said that. He then replied in an unprofessional manner that I did too, basically arguing with me about it. Typical salesman in my opinion. He also said he would contact me about going over the system after the installation which never happened until I called the office. Another issue we had was that the system fan was running 24/7 after the installation and nothing I did through the control panel would stop it. He had sent me his contact information and I had sent him an e-mail with an explanation of the problem. So after 72 hours of this fan running and driving us crazy, we called the office and complained. Daren contacted us about this and we had to shut down the Forced Air Unit, not the AC system as we had attempted to do, at the breaker box and bring it back up. It turned out that he had not added me to his contacts, so my e-mail went to his spam folder. I recommended that he contact the customer within 24 hrs to check on the installation and he stated I would have contacted him if there was an issue, (which I did) but obviously not enough ways like a text or phone call. Is not how you treat a customer that spent over $30,000 on a system? I think not. His failure to follow up and the other comment about how he should of put the repair responsibility on the paperwork was unacceptable to us. If he had done so, that issue would have been corrected right then. He was basically rude and argumentative in his communication. I would be very careful dealing with him. So in the end, he was a typical salesman that didn't follow up as promised and tried to push an expense back on the customer. The installation guys did a good job of replacing duct work and getting the system in, but in the end should have tried a little harder to resolve the vibration issue we advised them of after the installation. There was an error message generated after the restart that he knew about, but it has still not been addressed. We assumed maybe it was generated during the restart, but Darren said he would have it checked, we are still waiting for the to be investigated more as he promised he would do. So ,in the end, buyer beware and ensure you hold them to their promises by being the squeaky wheel. read more

In January 2013, I had to replace my A/C ,Heating Unit and Duck work on my Rental. I called 15 Heating and Air company's. I had eight of them come out to the property including Cool Air Solutions. I talked to the other seven on the phone and received phone estimation. Be careful there are a lot of bushiness that try to cut corners. Out of all of the seven Company's that gave estimates, Cool Air was the only one that went into the Attic and look at the Duck work. They where very professional They where in the same ball park in price also. When they came out to do the work , I over look the project and saw that they did not cut any corners at all. They did a very good and neat job and did many extra stuff that I didn't expect. They answer all of my question and were very nice. I have check out these guys and they are A+ in my book. Better Business burrow they are A+, Contractor Licence is all in order and out of the 15 company's them and one other company are Edison Certified. Today I had my 6 moths service done. The technician, Travis Raby, called and said he was on his way which I thought was nice. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and a pleasure to deal with. I will probably ask for him to do our next service. Cool Air Solutions is a great company and service provider and my wife and I are very pleased with their equipment install and subsequent service. read more
