Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the lady who answered the phone and made my appointments, but she was very kind, professional and knowledgeable. Matt came to do the maintenance. He showed me how horribly dirty the inside of the furnace was. Yikes! I should mention that our "periodic" maintenance was far from the recommended annual maintenance, and the furnace is old. Anyway, he cleaned it beautifully and inspected it. The air in the house even smelled better. And he recommended having the ducts cleaned.   Alexander came to clean the ducts. He showed me lots of dust and dirt, and apparently animal hair inside. When he was done, I could see how incredibly clean the ducts were, and how much ugly stuff he had vacuumed out. The house smelled even better!  Shortly after the duct cleaning, the furnace stopped heating. The ignition had worn out. It was working when Matt came, but it was just old and happened to wear out. So I had the pleasure of meeting Angel, who came and replaced the ignition the same day I called. I'd give this company 10 stars if I could. They have always provided an amazingly quick response, which I especially appreciated with a cold night on the way. And I was very impressed by the outstanding knowledge and attitude of every one of the technicians I met. They were willing to explain everything I wanted to know, and in a way that I could understand. I highly recommend 888 Heating to anyone looking for excellent heating or air conditioning service!

Unwanting to start an argument in my home with 2 men with tools in their hands, I paid and asked for a receipt for the service and claimed 2 year warranty. I still haven't received the receipt. This seemed like 2 guys with a shop vac and not an actual company from my experience.

Their service left us without air for nearly a week after paying $500 to "fix" the issue. Their subcontractors didn't show up when scheduled, gave 3 different diagnoses (all of which were wrong) and ended up adding too much Freon to the point where we needed a legit tech to come out and fix Sparks' work. They hide behind text message and refuse to pick up the phone to discuss the job they charged $500 for. Please don't repeat our mistake and give this "company " any business!

My Mother-in-Law's AC went out recently... she contacted her "regular" service provided that she…read morehad used the past couple of years.  When the Tech showed up they informed her that she needed to replace the entire unit due to corrosion.  Now this is the Company that had serviced and conducted "Maintenance" on the unit the past two years and installed a Furnace in September of 2015, still trying to figure out where the disconnect went on there term of Maintenance? Well this company advised her that a new unit would be $5000+ just for parts.  This is where I (Son in-law) stepped in.  I told my mother in law that she had a home warranty service and that I was going to contact them vs her us her "regular" provider which evidently didn't notice corrosion a couple months ago when he serviced the AC / Furnace?   The Warranty Company provided us the number for King Star and we contacted them immediately.  The Tech answered the phone and said that he was in the area and would stop buy with in a couple of hours... now keep in mind this is on a Saturday.  The service tech arrived within two hours, diagnose the condition, contacted the Warranty Company with his diagnoses which was to replace the unit due to corrosion caused from sentiment buildup... (yea.. last provider "Serviced & Maintained" the unit the past couple of years).  Warranty Company advised the Tech that the warranty would not cover replacement because of the condition caused from "Lack of Maintenance."  That's an entire different story that i wish not to get into. King Star Heating & AC quoted my Mother-In-Law $3800 for not only the parts but Labor and a year of Maintenance on the AC & Furnace. (Reg $169/yr)  WOW... that sounds like a GREAT Price... and after Research.. it is a GREAT PRICE!!!  Where do I sign!!! The King Star Tech said he would be back Tuesday to install everything. The Tech show on time and had ALL the components to install without having to leave or comeback another day to finish. He worked VERY hard and had it operational with in 5 hours. I personally talked to the Tech on the phone who sound VERY compassionate, professional and understanding, as my Mother-In-Law is a elderly lady and can be pretty gullible.    After the work was done my mother provided me this feedback to post on Angie's List and Yelp. See Below:  He was excellent! He spent 3 years training people on how to do these installs. He's 53 years old and loves his work. He's very responsible about his work and happy to share what he is doing at the time. I'd highly recommend both him and his company. I found King Star Heating and Air Conditioning in Aurora, Colorado to be very fair and honest in their dealings with me on my new air conditioner.  Everything was explained in detail from the different types and styles of air conditioners down to the prices and benefits and warranties offered on all the units.  The technician stopped by the first evening on his way home and then kept in constant contact with me throughout the process.  He arrived on time, was careful about my home, dressed in a uniform for the company and was exceptionally pleasant, congenial and educational (for me) at all times.  I would highly recommend this company and my technician.

If I could give warning in one line, do not use this company for any of your HVAC needs. We had a air conditioner and air handler installed into our house and I am now having to hire true professionals to get this handled properly. Also the owner has now stopped answering phone calls and this also goes for their new Business Aurora Mechanical and HVAC! Do not use either of these companies I will be complaining to the BBB about this owner and shotty work.

When I scheduled the appointment, I was told there would be a non-refundable $49 trip charge. What I was not told was that the $49, as the plumber later explained, "only gets me to your front doorstep." Once he arrived, I was informed that diagnosing the possible problem would cost an additional $289--even though he acknowledged that it might take only a few minutes to determine the source. The plumber himself was polite, honest, and professional. He seemed genuinely uncomfortable explaining the pricing and apologetically stated that it was corporate policy. My concern is not with him; it is with the company's lack of transparency when the appointment was scheduled. The plumber was also approximately three hours early and called to ask whether I could accommodate the earlier arrival. I rearranged my schedule to do so, only to turn him away after learning about the additional charge that had never been disclosed. I have no problem paying a fair price for professional work. However, charging a non-refundable $49 fee without clearly explaining that it covers nothing beyond arriving at the home--and that even a brief diagnosis will cost another $289--did not feel fair or transparent. I declined the service and am now out the $49.
