Just ordered from Coolidge Cafe and it was delicious. This cafe will definitely be a hit in my family

The food was delivered fast. The order was prepared perfectly. We received exactly what we ordered and nothing was wrong

We stopped in with our family relative who just wanted a simple diner experience. Coolidge Cafe is more than that! The recent remodeling makes this clean, cool and airy interior even more inviting. Though a large screen TVs are powered, they're muted for easy conversation. Comfortable booth and table seating is available. Did I mention how pleasant everyone was? From the hostess at the register who welcomed us, to the attentive server and her assistant who bussed our meal - smiled, spoke with kindness, and made every patron feel seen. We ordered breakfast items, and I had a Greek Salad. Wow!! Portions are large. The salad was fresh and beautifully plated. The tasty dressing was placed in covered containers on the side. The grilled pita bread was warm, crispy and tasted lightly-seasoned delicious. We will return. We will bring out of towners. Kudos to the Chef, the wonderful staff and the Management.

Very huge portions, warm friendly inviting atmosphere. It can busy extremely busy depending the time you visit. The staff is very polite. You can tell the customers are loyal repeat patrons. Pricing is normal but you get more for your money. Omelettes are gigantic as everything is....it all looks good. Taste does very a little depending on what you get. They went through a recent remodel, everything looks great.

My husband wasn't excited about trying this new spot out, it seemed a bit rough from the outside and looked a bit old and and dated inside as well. Zina is waiting on us. Tables are blocked off for social distancing. They have a 60% for their health violations. Zina hasn't come to our table yet, she might be doing the register too. No one has come for over 3 minutes at all, what's up that? She came a few seconds later, apologized for coming to our table late. Asked if we were ready. Ordered a vegetarian omelet with cheddar and hash browns and a side of rye. The bread options are white, wheat and rye here. I wanted a biscuit sandwich with eggs, fried well, cheddar cheese, turkey sausage and turkey bacon, well done and a side of hash browns well done with green peppers and onions. The biscuit was made to order and looked and tasted decent. The turkey sausage were links and there were two nicely crispy turkey bacon strips too. The biscuit was okay, a bit dry, but decent. The hash browns were perfectly crispy, not burned, just the way I like them. The food was out within minutes, it seemed. Food service is quite quick here. The veggie omelet was average, per my husband, the hash browns were average as well. They do use canned mushrooms for their veggie omelet, not fresh, as they had the look and rubbery feel of canned mushrooms. The line for carry out gets busy, then again it's lunchtime now. There are 8 people waiting for their food in line and now we are waiting again for our bill. All the waitstaff are focused on orders and pickups now. Food is waiting to be taken to guests, but there's no one to take it out yet. I finally had to go up to the counter and wait for Zina to hand me the bill and then I had to wait in line again to cash out. One couple left after they ordered their food and nothing was coming out. That food was still waiting to be taken out after I cashed out. I would be livid if that was my food I saw just sitting there getting cold. The service was unbelievably slow and frustrating today. It felt like I had to keep asking for someone to pay attention to us at all. The only plus was they did a good job of crisping up my hash browns today.

I had no idea I'd have such a fabulous breakfast at this café. I had two huge pieces of catfish with grits, scrambled eggs, and toast. My friend's He-Man breakfast was plentiful also with bacon, sausage, ham, two eggs, grits, and toast. Both of us enjoyed our meal and agreed that we had to return.

Walking in, there was very limited seating and about an hour wait, which clearly showed how popular this spot is. Thankfully, the hostess told us about their basement bar area where you can grab drinks and snacks while waiting. The downstairs area had such a cool speakeasy vibe dark ambiance, vinyl music playing, and honestly the perfect date night atmosphere. The drinks were REALLY good, and you can also order appetizers down there. Once we made it upstairs, we grabbed bar seating and talked to a few people around us who all said this was their favorite spot. Our bartender was amazing -- super attentive, explained the menu well, and gave great recommendations. We ordered the wings (perfectly seasoned and so good) and the chicken sandwich with buffalo added for a little spice... absolutely delicious. I also tried the pistachio martini, and wow definitely one of my favorite drinks I've had in a while. Overall, such a great experience from the atmosphere to the food and service. I'll definitely be back, and I've already been telling all my friends about this place!

As others have said, it is always busy here and the parking lot is tiny (and very tight). I knew I was in the right place when they had a whole section of the cocktail list dedicated to margaritas. Mango margarita is my favorite adult beverage and they make a great one here. I was skeptical about the pastrami sandwich, but it blew us away. This masterpiece could hold its own against any famous deli anywhere. It is piled high with thick cut pastrami. Perfectly tender, perfectly seasoned. Shoutout to the homemade potato chips and garlicky dill pickle it is served with. Looking forward to coming back to check out the downstairs vinyl room and make our way through the menu.

Ambiance: Nice. Casual with a tiniest bit of upscale. Nice buildout. Service: very friendly. Had the feel of a neighborhood place with better trained serves. Food: Very good! They have a bunch of cute outdoor seating, so we asked to sit out there. Rachel was our server and she was great - very friendly and attentive! I ordered the Avocado Scramble, but I made a couple of modifications. Unfortunately they forgot to address them, but Rachel took care of that right away and the dish was very good. My wife had the Eggs Benedict, her favorite breakfast dish. She said it was very good and she particularly liked the potatoes that came with it. One final note (and this was not reflected in my rating): the seating in the outdoor section is pretty tight and a couple with a large dog was seated next to us. I'm not a big fan of people bringing dogs to restaurants, but if they are well behaved, I can deal with it. Unfortunately, at one point this dog got excited by a dog coming by on the sidewalk and jumped up and started barking at the others dog, just inches away from me. It was quite startling and its owner was not particularly apologetic. With such a confined space, I think this establishment may want to reconsider whether it allows dogs in their outdoor seating area.

The people working here were so friendly and personable with literally everyone that walked in the door. The service was top notch. It is also the most adorable place giving vibes of Lamy's food counter at Henry Ford Museum. I loved all of the options on the menu and it was so hard just picking a couple items to try. We had chicken tacos. They were so good and so fresh, I loved the sauce on top. Honestly, I am not sure if it was cheese or a sour cream type mixture, but it was creamy and flavorful. I also had the torta which was absolutely incredible. It had the same chicken as the taco. The chicken was slow cooked or stewed and shredded and was so flavorful, like a homecooked chef's kiss. The bread was fresh. I loved the sauce poured over it, making it a dipped and soaked sandwich. The carrots and cilantro, sliced radishes and sliced fresh jalapenos added a level of crunch, freshness and deeper flavor profile. I would want to get this every time. We also tried their delicious "curly" fries, which were like julienned shoestring fries fired fresh. It seemed like every dish was made fresh and right in front of you. So worth it, plus the prices are great. I would love to try their fried chicken plate, their breakfast sandwiches, and their other desserts. We talked to the man behind the counter who seemed like maybe a manager. He gave us their famous chocolate chip cookie to try. It was fresh baked and delicious. I would love to take home more of those. It looked so simple but was better than many bakeries specializing in cookies alone. He also gave us an second order of fries to take home with my leftovers, just top notch kindness and service. This man told us that OWL owns other restaurants and we would probably like them. I am open to trying more of their group but I do want to return here. This is one of those diners you would find being profiled for best kept secret or gourmet home cooked foods under the guise of fast food.

The servers are all well trained, and highly professional. The food is fantastic. The menu is the standout; it is very creative and has something for everyone. Let's start with their breakfast. This is probably the best breakfast/brunch place in town. Too bad they're only open weekends for breakfast. Whenever we have family back in town or friends from out of town, this is our go to place. Casual relaxed, friendly with quality food. If you haven't been here for breakfast, I would highly recommend it. The only comment I have is they don't open for breakfast until a little bit later in the morning. Usually, there is a line out out front waiting for them to open. We've had most things on the menu and to be truthful, not one thing has disappointed. Dinner: we don't get here too often for dinner because in my mind, this is our go to breakfast place.
