You made my first time at the Breakfast Club a great Sunday brunch experience. The Breakfast Club is located on Woodward just north of 12 Mile Road. There is table and chair seating throughout including even intimate seating for two. They are open seven days a week. All our food was delicious. The portions were very nice too. I had the purist buttermilk pancakes with warm syrup and the jumbo sausage links. I did not care for the syrup being served in the cup on top of my pancakes. I would have preferred it on the side of the pancakes or on the saucer with my sausage links. read more

I wanted to like this place so badly but I have had 2 less than great experiences. First time was a delivery: I got the stuffed French toast, the breakfast quesadilla and a side of bacon. Stuffed French toast was soggy and a super small portion. Could tell strawberries were not fresh either. Bacon was thick cut & pretty good. The breakfast quesadilla had good flavor but the meat was greasy. Potatoes are nothing special. Second time was a dine in. I decided to try the crab cake Benedict which may have been a risky choice on my end, but normally even frozen crispy crab cakes aren't half bad. I also enjoy imitation krab so figured most possibilities would still be okay. What I received was absolutely awful. The crab cake was mushy and smelled extremely fishy. I'm not convinced it was real OR imitation crab as that has no blatantly fishy smell. The hollandaise sauce was extremely bland as well. Only thing that saved my meal was the panzanella which I had never tried and that was pretty good. Service was friendly which is the only reason it gets an extra star. read more

We tried this restaurant for the first time today for breakfast and it was a great experience. We ordered a breakfast sandwich and the Belgian waffle meal. Both were very tasty. My brother and sister and I went there for the first time based on reviews I'd read. Nice atmosphere and the service was really good. We ordered classic eggs benedict, omelet with gravy and regular breakfast with eggs, pancake, bacon and fruit. The food was tasty but not hot and the portions were unexpectantly small in comparison to other similar restaurants AND the prices were more. My sister normally orders the same at other places and get 3 eggs and 3 large pancakes, toast and hashbrown. We usually can't eat everything but this time it was easy to do. The waitress poured her 2 refills of hot coffee which she said was very good. The OJ was very good also. Our bill did come with 3 chocolate covered strawberries (forgot the picture). I'd be surprised if this location was owned by same people who have the location in Farmington Hills. The interior was not nearly as nice, the bathroom was dirty (had to tell our server their was fecal matter smeared on the toilet), and it was not the nice dining experience I've come to expect from them. This place came highly recommended. Which is a shame as we weren't pleased. We are tucked in a corner by the window which is not visible to the staff. East to become out of sight and out of mind. I had the seafood bowl. The smell of fish hits you hard as she's walking up and not in a pleasant way. The bowl has smoked salmon, lobster and crab. All you smelled was fish that was not quite right. It made this dish a complete turn off. I picked at the potato's a bit but the smell was so rank i had this removed from the table. My partners food was brought out in pieces. He received the eggs and bacon but not the pancakes. by the time he finished the eggs and bacon the pancakes arrived. I really despise when a server drops the food and bill at the same time. It shows you don't plan to check in (and she didn't) Don't lan to offer anything else (and she didn't) and don't really care if we are ok (and she didn't) We didn't even have all of our food yet so why do we have the bill?? We arrived as an unnumbered large group and when I say they made a space for us and had us seated as a group of seven in less than ten minutes.. then as our group added on another five they just added a table for us and accommodated us graciously!! I was on this side of town picking up holiday gifts and was absolutely starving. The Breakfast Club was literally on my way and since I had a few extra minutes before the store opened that I needed to go to, I dropped in on a Sunday morning for a quick bite. Walking in I didn't see a hostess station, but they did have a sign saying please wait to be seated. Not a ton of room to wait, but that's ok since I was seated immediately. Reviewing the menu, I kept it simple with two eggs, hash browns and toast. No drinks as I was already well caffeinated. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time and was actually very good. I enjoyed my meal and as I was dining I noticed that it had picked up with people coming in to eat. My server was a wonderful lady but near the end she kind of disappeared. To the point that when it came to paying my bill, I literally started to stand up and look for her. The hostess had to come by twice, once to ask if I needed anything and a second time to actually cash me out. I was starting to get antsy and really needed to go on and finish up what brought me to this side of town to begin with. Eventually I did get my bill paid, but it was only because the fabulous hostess helped me out. Never did see my server again. Yes, I know it's Sunday Morning but the restaurant shouldn't have been surprised and it was kind of annoying. The food here is good though. I've seen some mixed reviews, but my meal here was excellent. The breakfast "rush" is decently busy- but the inside is fairly big, so it doesn't feel crowded. The wait was minimal, coffee on the ready and some time to chat before food arrived. The crepes were phenomenal, and the portions were hearty! I thought the price was on-point for the food you received, but some may think it's a little steep. All in all, this place has a nice charm about it and the food was great. With high hopes we left very disappointed. We ordered the "fluffy" croissant sandwich which hey, basic sandwich should be good, bland bland bland. The salmon bene was awful, the salmon was beyond overcooked, the server replaced it with turkey sausage but all of us collectively agreed it was the worst thing we had ever tasted. Unsure if it was old patties or grease cooked on or both but it was awful. The most disappointing is our friend has to do gf and the gf pancakes were dense, grainy and disgusting. My husband and I have been wanting to come here for awhile now, and today we were finally able to check it out. When we arrived we were seated immediately. Water was brought over, and our drink orders placed all before our waitress came over to our table which was super nice. Coffee was decent. My water had floaters in the glass. I had a hard time deciding what to get but ultimately went with one of their specials, the chicken and waffles, my husband got the meat lovers omelette. After placing our food orders I feel like we waited quite a long time to get our food. The chicken and waffles were completely flavorless. Even the syrup didn't have any flavor. It did come with a side of country gravy that was the most flavorful thing on my plate. The chicken was very flat tenders that looked and tasted like they came from a bag from the freezer. The waffles also tasted like they were frozen as they were mushy and not crispy. This was supposed to come with fruit but I never received that. The meat lovers omelette and hash browns were also flavorless. Good portion size for an omelette. Hash browns were undercooked and soggy. They bring you chocolate covered strawberries when checking out which is a very nice gesture. The chocolate on the strawberry was probably the best thing we had here. The strawberry itself was very soft, made me think it was rotten and no longer good. This place is always so busy when we drive by so I'm not sure why we had such a terrible experience. TBC seems to be on the path to being in every city. We have been to their LH locations countless times. Interesting use of the wooden cabinet knobs to tie down the brackets holding up the swirled wood wall divider. There's some counter seating by the window. The food is always consistently good at the two other locations I have been to so far, so, I had the same expectations for this location, keeping in mind they recently opened and might need to work out a few bugs with the new staff serving here. My husband always get their Penny's favorite omelet. On more indulgent Sundays we like to start off our Sunday right with a big billowy, gooey cinnamon roll, that's if we have no plans but just couch goals for the day. ;) I like their veggie omelet with added turkey or their oven baked French toast or pretty much anything on their menu is always good. We moved from our first table by the soda fountain, it was cold and drafty. Moved into the more concentrated and densely seated area. We ordered a coffee, the penny's favorite omelet with hash browns, added green pepper and onions and well done. I got the protein harvest and a side of turkey patties. Great about topping off coffees. Cooks shouting out that he needs a runner is somewhat amusing, gives it that diner feel. The two tops are a bit narrow between aisles for the waitstaff and patrons. I could see potential accidents happening from abrupt arm flailing or head movements. The hash brown with the Penny's favorite omelet has a small and weak amount of green peppers and onions for a add on. It's weak for $1 add-on. The protein harvest is decent, piping hot. The turkey sausage is a bit oily but not over cooked and not dry at all. My husband enjoyed his Penny's favorite omelet. Our waitress was nice, quick and efficient, then we didn't see her after our food was done. Penny has brought us our bill and took our card too. Haven't seen my credit card for a while, maybe someone's skimming it while I wait? They need a lot of work still, I get it's their first week, but the service was poor today. I will give them a 4 because i know that they're good, they're always jam packed and I was recommended here. But my honest review is a 3 based off what I ordered, which was "the Irish" or something like that. It's Corned beef hash and eggs! My main complaint is that my whole order tasted like the griddle. Some of sections of my food tasted like mustard, other sections tasted like pancakes, and I didn't like the cheese that comes with the eggs but that's something that can be altered soo it's no biggie. Nestled away in a small strip center, located on a corner lot. The Breakfast Club is serving up delicious food for a fair price. With plenty of parking, this place is small but busy. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is clean and well kept, the food is great, and the location is wonderful. I tried the Michigan Salad with the Balsamic Dressing and it was great! Plenty of grilled chicken cubes sprinkled throughout, lots of yummy cranberries, blu cheese, and nuts on top. The romaine lettuce was fresh and crisp, just the way I like it. The meal comes with 2 slices of bread. My friends ordered a few other dishes that they really enjoyed as well. Overall, I really liked this restaurant and the people working there. Very friendly and sweet! I highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the area and are looking for a homemade meal. It tasted fishy and he started wondering how long before he would feel ill. Suffice it to say, he didn't eat it. The tomato panzanella is really savory bread pudding (with a lot of oregano). Service - - very slow. When they say 'your food will be right out', what they really mean is you're gonna be waiting.
