Three words: Chicken Tender Tacos. Holy mouth watering goodness! How did I just notice these on the menu this visit? Two flour tortillas filled with slaw, a chicken tender which is fried oh so perfectly, onion straws and drizzled with a sweet and tangy bbq sauce. Wow, just, wow. I love tacos and these were just superb. Cooper's itself is a really awesome place to go and grab a bite, hang out at the bar, catch some live music or hang out outside to enjoy the gorgeous weather. All of the staff here has been top notch every time we've been in. Today our server was Emily and she was attentive, quick and friendly. Very good fast service and waitress was very friendly. Had a delicious dinner here tonight with my friends and my husband. We went for happy hour and great prices and a good size menu. The food and service is excellent, the happy hour and daily specials are great. however we went Saturday night and 2 in our party wanted martinis they were mixed well but we were charged $20.00 per drink, $16.00 plus $4.00 upgrade for Kettle One vodka, a little over the top. if you go just order beer or wine as mixed drinks are way over priced. read more

Cooper's tavern is a gem. We walked in at 910pm thinking they may be closing soon and asked if they were still serving. They were super nice and sat us at the bar, we ordered quickly and i was not prepared for how good the food was. Pork nachos were 10 out of 10 amazingly delicious, highly recommend ordering those. I got the Hawaiian burger with the Mac n cheese cake and let me tell you, that deserves to win an award. Huge triangle of fried Mac n cheese draped with more gooey cheese. I would drive from Maryland all the time just to eat that, that's how good it was. Add on more brownie points for being nice and talking to us at the bar even though we walked in late. Stopped in because we have a family dog named Cooper, so we had to try it. Only negative was they didn't have any shirts or hoodies that said 'Cooper's Tavern' so we could bring them home! Definitely a locals place, but didn't feel completely out of place visiting from out of town. Their Bloody Marys were really great, but the waffle fries are to die for. Don't go there without trying them, that would be a serious mistake. Awesome outside patio too! read more

Fried Mac n Cheese...will blow you away We eat at Cooper's frequently and have never been disappointed. Usually eat late lunch so we miss the evening crowds, as the noise level at night is a little much. Service is always good and dining room is well kept. read more

Good local food and beer joint. I like the variety of the menu and the fact that I can get gluten free corn tortillas. Beer selection is very good, bartenders and servers are very friendly and helpful. When my companion's burger was screwed up, the server made sure that a fresh one was made even though the kitchen was closed. That's a big plus. Our first visit to Cooper's Tavern was so much fun! Since it was our first time, and we wanted to try several items from the menu, we actually ordered from the happy hour menu/appetizers. I thought we would probably be getting your basic bar food, but that was not the case. The salad ingredients were so fresh and they were several excellent choices. We got their famous mac & cheese, French dips sliders, and enormous yummy pretzel. All Staff was friendly and our server, Jake was outstanding! They have a small assortment of good craft, beer and large assortment of other beers. They also have other yummy cocktails, and wines. Cooper's has a relaxed atmosphere, sport TVs, and I could see why many people would consider this their go to place! What is a pleasure to highly recommend Cooper's Tavern! We were sick of pizza, fried food, and seafood. Also of the ridiculous prices. I just wanted an affordable chicken sandwich and we found it here! You can get any burger as a grilled or fried chicken sandwich. They had a few other menu items, everything we ordered was good. Only suggestion is a beer menu with price ranges. They carry many beer options but dont have a list. We don't normally spend $9 on a beer but that was how much it cost once we got the bill. read more

The fried oysters were very good, with no fishy taste. The pulled pork nachos were an interesting creation that included a honey or syrup-type drizzle. Also delicious. We knew this place would be great by the PACKED parking lot. We truly didn't think there could be any seats available. However, there is a large outside seating area, so we had no problem getting seats at the bar. The service and atmosphere were both great, but the food was outstanding. My wife went with the mini Mango mahi off the happy hour menu. It was a piece of Mahi topped with mango salsa and on top of coleslaw. She raved about it! I had the Southern Heat burger topped with Applewood smoked bacon, fried onion straws, pepper jack cheese, pickled jalapeños and kickin' BBQ sauce. All of these flavors complemented each other and were phenomenal. For my side, I had the fried Mac n cheese cake. Oh, wow, was this so good and not heavy, like I assumed. It was mac n cheese cooled and then cut like a slice of cake, battered and then deep fried and finished with more cheese on top. You gotta try it. I think this little place is really good. Granted I had a taste for pork nachos and they delivered. My pregnant wife enjoyed the mock tails (Bloody Mary without the alcohol!). and my parents enjoyed their meals. The portions are perfect to have a bit of leftovers. Would definitely recommend this place!!!! It is a bit loud to hear, but a good place to look around.
