We had a party of 7 yesterday and requested a reservation for 6:45. Taylor made it happen for us. We had family in from Long Island and wanted to take them to one if our favorite spots. We all enjoyed our dinner. Everyone loved the place. Thank you Talor for squeezing our reservation in. Perfect place to bring family & friends.

What a delightful experience we had at Cooper's. The place was very busy but we didn't have to wait long for a table. Our server was Nikki Nicole. She was extremely helpful and friendly. Checked on us often to make sure we had what we needed. The place was lively and fun. Great energy. We enjoyed our food. The pretzel was amazing!!!! We would definitely return to Cooper's!!!!

My mom and sister and I visited from Charleston and planned a trip to Little River specifically to have dinner at The Brentwood and take their ghost tour. The entire evening though was one disappointment after another: from the food to the service to the "ghost tour". Dinner was chaotic before it even began. The menu was changed multiple times by head cook Steve...first the chicken was unavailable, then it was duck, then suddenly chicken Marsala, then back to chicken Caprese. My sister and I went with the chicken caprese and our mom the short ribs. When we finally did get our meals, the chicken dish looked NOTHING like what was described and it was NOT good. It was almost like they just took whatever extra ingredients they had in the kitchen and threw it together to make some type of a chicken pasta dish. They were literally giving away additional plates of it to the other diners during the ghost tour experience for free. My sister and I both left our plates mostly untouched, and our server Lorena didn't ask a single question about why two entrées went back almost full. For the price, it was disappointing to leave hungry. Dessert didn't help either...no one around us finished theirs. And then there was the ghost tour. To call it a "tour" is generous...and it was somehow even worse than dinner. It started with reality TV clips from different ghost hunting show that we could've watched online for free. After that, our guide Steve (yes, the same person who cooked our dinner) led us on what was maybe a 15-minute walk while repeating the same stories multple times he'd already told us earlier in the evening. He seemed extremely disheveled and under the influence of something. His Levi's boxers were literally hanging out of his jeans the entire time. It was unprofessional and uncomfortable. When the "tour" ended, we didn't even bother sticking around to explore the historic property. We were over it. We ended up talking with another couple who had driven in (like us) to celebrate their anniversary, and they were just as disappointed and confused by the whole experience as we were. I absolutely would not recommend this restaurant or the ghost tour to anyone in its current state.

We were a party of 3. Two of us got a flounder and shrimp combo. Mine was blackened and my wife's was grilled flounder and fried shrimp. The flounder on both was severely overcooked and chewy. Unfortunately the waitress didn't stop by after we had a chance to check everything out. If she had we would have requested a replacement. After paying the bill including a full gratuity we asked the person at the door if we could see a manager. Tabitha came out and we described the situation. She offered to try to make things good but we just told her we wanted the kitchen to know that the flounder was far from meeting their normal standards.

We went on a Thursday night which is probably less busy than a Friday or Saturday night. We sat inside this time and we started with some fried green tomatoes which had blue cheese sauce on top. I actually loved it better than the usual aoili most places serve with FGT. I got the ribeye this time, medium rare and some creamed spinach. My steak was prepared as requested. Flavorful and delicious. The creamed spinach was also good. My entrée did come with a salad as well. I had the Ceasar which came with a flaky, buttery mini croissant. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his burger. Last but not least, I ordered the molten chocolate cake. Sadly, I was a bit disappointed as the molten part was really only some thick chocolate sauce on top of a slightly warmed (maybe via microwave) chocolate cake. The place was exactly as I remembered it. Service was quick and friendly and even though we were seated inside, we still had a great view of the marina and some parts of the water. I will always come back to Clark's for steak next time I am back in the area.

I have read some of the negative reviews and have not had a bad experience there. I hadn't thought of reviewing this restaurant but my return was as unpleasant as my first visit…read more I'll get to the atmosphere later in this review. Our second visit started out questionable with the parking lot unwalkable cause of the resent bad weather. Rain puddles and moon craters aplenty. Going in seemed awkward having the diners look at you because we brought in a rush of cold air. Everyone there was eating with thier coats on. Alot of restaurants have a tent breeze way but not here. One of the waitress gave a beeper and told us we could either wait out side or in our cars. It was cold that day. That wasn't a great option. My meal was a questionable experience. Once handed our menus they appeared dirty and manhandled. My last visit the rolls that were giving out weren't' bake at all. This visit the same way. Gummy at first not fully baked and if not eating right away hard as a rock. Thats the second time it was severed like that. I ordered the chicken strips. 4 in all. Not great. When I woke up the next day I was wondering WHY the roof of my mouth was torn up. This tells me that the breading was old and heated up. Look not every place can be like Chick Fill A. I get it. . The atmosphere was kind of depressing. The lighting was all over the place. Bright light bulbs not matching. LED's with regular bulbs. The first time I was there I thought that the waitress wearing rip jeans was maybe a fluke but there she is again. The same jeans. The rag she used to wipe the tables matched her pants. Very off-putting to say the least. I would think this place is popular causet there is'nt much dinning in that area of Calabash. I'm never going back. A sure sign of a place that is questionable the sign out front is awash with green mold. A good power wash could help that.
