I've gotten lobster rolls ranging from the Guppy (smallest) all the way to the Whale (largest, obviously). Yes, it's expensive but I don't think they skimp on any of their portions! 4oz always looks like 4oz, etc.. My favorites that I come back for are the LOBSTER FRITTERS, they are outstanding! The hot lobster roll and I also truly love, and their cold lobster roll with the citrus mayo. They have different selections of mayo for the cold rolls you can choose from... I believe there might be a truffle and then there's also classic mayo. My daughter had been there before, but this was my first visit, and we were both treated very well by the staff, including the Vice President of the Shinnecock Nation, who teased me for comparing their lobster rolls with ones I had tried previously at the original Lobster Roll in Montauk, Lunch in Southampton, and Cousins' Maine Lobster trucks back in Pennsylvania. He said theirs use fresh, not frozen lobster meat and are better. We both got the four ounce "Guppy" served Hamptons style - warm lobster topped with warm butter and chives over a bed of arugula served on a toasted brioche roll that came with a generous portion of classic shoestring fries and a pickle. Our sandwiches and fries were terrific, and I even got to try a Montauk iced tea, a local favorite that has half the sugar of Gold Peak sweet tea and came highly recommended by one of the private chefs in the Hamptons that I follow on social media. Just walking in, we were warmly greeted, then quickly seated. This place is "picnic style", so you're given menus at your table, but order at the counter (I personally like that vibe). Anyway, we ordered their 1/4 pound, five-meat sampler (pulled pork, pulled chicken, brisket, a competition-style rib and a whole smoked sausage) and they converted me.
