Been twice. They are open Thursday-Mon. They offer $30 menu with soup/salad, decent entree and dessert. I had delicious clam chowder, baked salmon with asparagus and rice and cheesecake. My husband and I don't drink and they had NA Corona and the best tasting non-alcoholic wine (Seaglass). If you are over 50 there is a 15% discount and no tax since it is on a reservation. All the staff are super friendly. To us it's a hidden gem and nice change of pace locally. read more

What a disappointment! While we knew the menu had changed since the old seafood/sushi restaurant, we had no idea the food quality would be this poor. For starters the bread was blah, the clams were oily and lacked fresh flavor. Our filet was 1/2 in thick and seemed to be marinated. The veggies were over cooked and greasy. The potato soufflé was not edible. The best thing on the table was the clam chowder and I am not even sure it was made in house. Our server was great. I hope they find a new chef to bring back the fresh food and delicious flavors the restaurant once had. read more

Almost didn't go here based on others reviews, but then realized most people are complaining about high prices. I will never understand how people can complain about that. You obviously know the prices when you sit down and if you think they are too high, then you should leave and not complain about it after you get your check. The food was good. We ordered the artichoke dip which was surprisingly flavorful. We also ordered the clam chowder which was decent in its own right, but nothing to write back home to mom about. And then we shared the bacon wrapped and crab stuffed large prawns. It came with a potato soufflé and vegetables. We enjoyed all of it, it was very good, and in addition to the food, my wife said that her drinks that she ordered were very good and the service was very good. The River Water Bar & Grille - Seafood Near Me - Olympia, Washington

Visited this place twice. Once in the restaurant and the second time at the bar. Both times service was good (better at the bar). Food came out faster at the bar and slower in the restaurant. My friend and I both times ordered the prime rib dinner, the stuffed chicken breast and a couple orders of oysters on half shell. The only difference is the first time we ordered oysters Rockefeller and the second crab stuffed mushrooms. The first time our rice pilaf was delicious, but the second time it was undercooked. The prime rib and stuffed chicken breast were good, but the chicken breast was so small that you might need a magnifying glass just to see it. The dinners came with soup or salad. French onion soup was good and the Caesar salad was just a Caesar salad. The oyster Rockefeller was way too chewy, but the raw were perfectly fine. I don't recommend the special sauces for the oysters. They taste pretty bad if you asked me. Just stick with the simple cocktail, tarter, tobacco and lemon. The star were the stuffed mushrooms. I guess it's just a hit or miss on the food. I would visit again for just the oysters and starters. read more

We made a RESERVATION for 8:45pm everything was great at the start, wonderful sweet server and attentive...at first...then it all went wrong. They brought out our bread took our drink order the. My small "double" (tasted more like soda water than anything) took 15 minutes to get to our table then another 10 for salads...all we ordered was the chicken and wild mushroom pasta and the trio medium rare. We watched 3 couples walk in after us and got their salads and drinks within 6 to 9 minutes at that point the server decided to tell us it would only be a couple more minutes for our food and run off never to be seen again until we complained. (couple behind us ordered the same trio steak as me cooked medium not medium rare.) After 30 minutes and watching 2 of the 3 customers ahead of us get their food we FINALLY asked just for the check if that we ate because at this point it was 48 minutes AFTER we walked in!! We were told the boss would be out to talk to us and instead it was the server who originally we had a great conversation and experience with tell us "well it matters what you ordered" and when we expressed the people behind us who ordered almost the SAME meal had already gotten things way before we did we were told no they didn't they got salads and soup witching 7 minutes of ordering it. When we finally complained the manager was NO WHERE IN SIGHT they sent out the server and as she was handing my check for the $15.00 drink which was all she brought and salads after 45 minutes the couple behind us was receiving their food!! Mind you the couple behind us got a steak cooked medium not medium rare and in any existence doesn't take as long as a medium rare steak (medallions not full steak) Avoid this place at all costs!! The severed will forget you exist until you're upset and then tell you it's your fault because of what you ordered then the "manager" won't even have the courage to come to the table to tell speak to you!!! Horrible service for what was supposed to be a celebratory night out and ruined our whole experience at Red Wind!!! read more

Our server was Tonya, a sparkling ray of sunshine, not to mention as beautiful as a summer sunset on Puget sound. The food on the other hand was over priced nursing home slop. The Crab stuffed mushrooms, hideous. They tasted like river water, the clam chowder was more like a clam gravy. Brussel sprouts boiled then served with balsamic vinaigrette...tasted of burnt hair. Chicken Dijon...lacked Dijon and over cooked. Halibut and chips was cod, the fries were excellent. The spaghetti dish with the lone meatball was raw in the center. The meal was less than stellar, tasted of low quality frozen food. Over priced for the quality I don't recommend. read more

This place is horrible. Its over priced hospital food. My aunt ordered a ceasar salad and they put hot fatty bacon on top of SPINACH with mushrooms!? The clam chowder tasted like they use progresso cream of potatoes, the crab cakes were fried hard like hockey pucks, and my creole pasta was disgusting. I'm mad at myself for deciding to come here but if you are reading this there is still hope for you. read more

The steak I had was good and juicy however h the e temperature of the entire platter was bordering on cold. The server Orion who I have been waited on before has a habit of forgetting about you so you have to send the busboy after him to remind him he has a customer waiting for their food or their check. The menu could use some additional items as the selections are limited. Love that the price is half off for players who are using points, this makes the trip out worth it. read more

We miss the old River Water Grill so much! Their seafood and steaks were great, and their sushi was the best! This "new" version is such a disappointment. We tried it a few months ago, and had a pretty blah experience. But then we saw them being featured on King 5 Evening Magazine showing that the quality of food was great, so we decided to give them another try. We were met with the same bland underwhelming food as before. The pan-fried oyster appetizer was excellent and the highlight of our meal. The dinner rolls were dry and boring. My "filet mignon" was less than 1/2 inch thick and cold, as was my baked potato. Hubby's crab-stuffed salmon was also room temp and had an odd sauce on top. Our server was wonderful, and this review in no way reflects on the hostess or the servers in the dining room. The lack of skill, imagination and execution in the kitchen needs to be addressed. read more

What do you think of when you think of a place called "DelMonico's"? Or maybe Alioto's? Or Bene Hana's? Now, after that, what do you think of when you think of "River Water"?? Well, you've got it right. They redid the restaurant at Red Wind Casino in high style. The prices on the menus don't have anything after the decimal point. But. . . . . They didn't do much else. The menu is quite sparce, and as Grandma used to say, "You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.". We made reservations for Thanksgiving dinner, --what used to be very, very, busy when they had the buffet -- Reservations, no less!! And when we got there at 6:00, there were about 6 tables full, and they were out of Turkey!. On thanksgiving!. Being the good sport that I am, I got the $48. 12 oz. steak. The surprise vegetable was brussel sprouts. WHO EATS BRUSSEL SPROUTS!!!? Anyway, the half-baked potato was almost warm, as was the steak. Medium, for the post-Denny's cooks, was medium rare. The $12. salad had TWO whole cherry tomatoes, and a slice of cucumber. I think, from my experience, they are over priced, and under-classed. I'll stick to the Rib Eye. read more
