A lil hidden gem in the far NW tucked in the guard gated community of Trilogy Sandstone, a 55+ community. Came here for the first time on a Sunday afternoon. Not many guests but we had just missed the brunch crowd and the dinner crowd. Our server, John, was super helpful. I was in the mood for salmon but when we asked John if it was farm or wild, sadly, he said it was farmed salmon so I had to pass. Ordered the Beet It. Beautifully plated beet hummus with olives, cucumbers, radishes, feta and pine nuts. Came with an order or pita bread. That was very tasty. I asked John if the ahi was wild and he said yes so I ordered it. Came with organic greens. The vinaigrette was great and the entire dish was scrumptious. Also ordered the chef's table stir fry. Although it had a lot of onions, it tasted amazing. Served with basmati rice and teri sauce..And for dessert, butter cake with vanilla ice cream. Everything was amazing. Perfect portions. No leftovers. We found out they have Happy Hour but don't serve happy hour food. Just drinks. I suggested to John that they should offer HH food and wild fish. We took a tour of the facilities with Bob, a resident volunteer tour guide, including the pool and fitness facilities. And I found out 2 people i know work in the fitness center. Small world lol Would definitely go back. Hope they add seasonal specials, wild caught fish and HH food. read more

We honestly stumbled across this place by accident, and what a find! It's tucked away inside the guard-gated Sunstone master-planned community at Trilogy (just tell the guard you're heading to Cooper's and they'll let you right through). The restaurant itself is intimate and beautifully designed, featuring both indoor and outdoor seating alongside a full bar with plenty of TVs. From the moment we walked in, the hospitality was top-notch--one of the managers gave us a super warm welcome, and our waiter was prompt, friendly, and gave great menu recommendations. We started with the cheesy bread, which was outstanding. For mains, my wife got the Margherita pizza and I went with the chicken parm over spaghetti; both were excellent. It's the type of place where the food tastes better the next day- let me explain. This was my 4th visit to Cooper's Kitchen. The first time, it was so packed on the weekend, we had to sit outside near the bar. The service was slow, it was hard to get anyone's attention. The food, however, was pretty good. I had the Chicken Pesto dish. It was okay, but I wasn't able to finish it, so I took the leftovers home. The firecracker shrimp- delicious. The cheese bread- soooo cheesy, you'll get amazing cheese-pulls! The next day, I heated it up and it tasted a lot better than the night before. We decided to give them another try, this time we brought friends with us. The service was painfully slow! I ordered the salmon- it was mid at best. But the cheesy bread- still bomb. The third visit- they were closed, so make sure you check if they're open before you go. They're closed on Mondays I believe. Last night we had reservations. We showed up, was asked to wait so she could clean the table for us. I noticed it wasn't busy at all, and there were other tables that hadn't been cleared. Not a huge deal, but there's room for improvement in that department. I had the chicken parm. It was so underwhelming I barely ate it, so again, I took it home. I heated it up today and it tasted much better. The butter cake desert was delicious, that was the best part of the meal. The server, John, was great though, no complaints there. My husband's meals have consisted of a sandwich and pizza, he said it was okay. The filet Mignon wasn't seasoned well, it tasted like meat and needed a steak sauce to make it palatable. Yesterday he had the pot roast, it too tasted like straight up meat. Are they not seasoning or marinating back there? Is it because they're located in a 55+ community? That's the only reason I can come up with, that they're catering to their more mature crowd's dietary and health needs, but I think that needs to be made clear to the public. What a beautiful brunch we had today at Coopers for Mother's day! Coopers is a casual American restaurant and bar located in the Trilogy Sunstone community that is Guard Gated in the Northwest part of Town. It is a hidden Gem. The restaurant has a rustic feel with a modern look as well and an open bar and amazing outdoor seating with fire pits as well. Community restaurant tucked away in a nice neighborhood in the Northwest part of town. Prices start at about $12. Happy hour is good here and it's a mix crowd as far as the clientele. Cooper's Kitchen is swanky. We had difficulty finding the restaurant as the neighborhoods surrounding it are still being developed, and lots of the entrances are locked with a gate. The main / guest entrance is at Trilogy at Sunset Pkway and Belong Rd. The ambience is awesome. There's a large bar in the middle that serves both indoor and outdoor seating. The menu has a good variety. We ordered a mahi mahi wrap and the hot honey club. The food was alright, but I'd definitely try something else next time. The service was awful, which is the reason for two stars. It was incredibly slow, compounded by the fact that their ordering/payment system went down right before we were going to pay. So they couldn't accept a credit card until the system was back up. Instead of apologizing and offering a discount or even comping the meal due to the unknown time of outage, our server just told us we needed to wait until it came back. After what felt like 30 minutes of waiting, I told her we needed to leave (which was true because we had our infant son with us and he was starting to get fussy as nap time approached). Sure enough right when I said something, the system came back and I was able to pay with a credit card. But they didn't offer a discount or even comped drinks that would usually be customary in the hospitality industry when something outside of the establishments control impacts the customer experience. read more

Ever since Cooper's opened, the food has been consistently good. The ambiance, energy, staff, great service, and of course the food, and drinks keeps us coming back for more. (It's also because we're residents here, and it's literally a hop, skip, and a jump away. Well, maybe just a hop away.) The restaurant is inside of a gated 55+ community just so you're not confused. It is inside of what looks like a premium clubhouse. It gives a local bar vibe (seems like a cool place to watch a sports game). The waiter took a while to get to us which was weird because it wasn't too packed but they were friendly once they came. I ordered the steak, it was good but felt like less than 12 oz. The old fashioned was delicious! I had them use woodford. The Mahi wrap was also great! Cooper's Kitchen & Tap is a New American Style Restaurant located in a gated community called Trilogy that is in the Centennial part of Vegas. You need to show your ID and have you license plate photoed while entering. I didn't notice a sign on the restaurant so it is hard to find. You need to drive to the right to find it and it is located on the other end of the clubhouse that is just past the pool. I read about this restaurant on Yelp. It is convenient to where I live and the menu did sound very nice with a lot of variety for lunch or dinner. They also had a 4.5 star average on Yelp so I thought this would be a good choice. We enter and the restaurant has a rich and attractive atmosphere. The music is slightly too loud. It's lunch time on a Saturday and the place is almost empty. So many people live here and so much is around here I thought that was strange until I tasted the food here. We ordered and a half hours passes by and soon afterwards a man in a jacket approaches and says that they didn't turn on their rice cooker in time to serve me rice with my stir fry. He asked me if I wanted to wait another 20 or 30 minutes (after I already waited over 30 minutes) for my stir fry. I said I would still like my stir fry but would take a substitute for the rice. He said that I could have quinoa instead. I said that would be great. About ten minutes latter our meals arrive. The better of the two was my husband's Bucatini Bolognese. It's not the best and doesn't resemble the other Bucatini Bolognese dishes photoed on Yelp. This one is very bland and over cooked. It is missing seasoning, herbs, and dollops of cheese. (Look at Jeremy T's Photo from only a week ago). Sadly my stir fry is hardly edible. The best part of my stir fry was the salmon. It wasn't bad BUT EVERYTHING ELSE ABOUT this plate is another story. I got a few HARD CHUNKS of quinoa in the plate that might have been a total of a teaspoon. I didn't get any bok choy or broccolini in my dish that was in the description on the menu. The sauce was GOD AWFUL TASTING. so much so that only a toddler can concoct something like like this. But maybe the worst part was all the DRY RAW KALE in my stir fry that WASN"T STIR FRIED. ALL THIS RAW KALE DOES NOT BELONG IN A STIR FRY! Nobody on all of EARTH would want to eat this. Even people in Jail must get better plates of food to eat. This was so awful that they are lucky that I am not a violent person because I felt the urge to snap or call the police because serving this was a crime. To the restaurant - If you are out of things that should be in what you sell don't you think you should say to the guest that you are out of bok choy and broccolini? Or maybe 86 or take that plate off the menu for the day? To the server - When you take a plate out to serve shouldn't you look at it to see if it is finished or made correctly? If I was the server I wouldn't serve either plate. The server did seem understanding and volunteered to take my meal off the check. Now I know why the place was empty. This is the perfect neighborhood restaurant, clean friendly and beautiful inside. My waitress Stephanie provided top notch service even though she was very busy. The recommendations she made for my dinner were spot on. My bucatini was very flavorful. The ricotta cheese on top added the perfect creamy flavor to the sauce. For desert she recommended the butter cake and this desert was prefect. Crunchy crust, delicious fresh berry flavors and a nice big scoop of french vanilla on top. We visited on Thursday for lunch, with a party of two, and it was a very nice experience. We arrived and were seated in a spacious booth. The waiter arrived and took drink orders, their margaritas are strong and refreshing. We started with appetizers; Cast Iron Meatballs, Sesame Seared Ahi Tuna, and a Wedge Salad. All were very fresh and well prepared. From there we went with a Figgy Piggy Pizza and Grilled Sesame Salmon. The entrees were cooked perfectly, steaming hot, and tasty. The service was outstanding, the waiter was friendly, prompt and professional, He even boxed up our leftovers. Now a couple of things we did not enjoy: This restaurant is in a gated community and you have to provide ID to sign in at the gate, a bit of a pain. Also, they had the large doors to the patio open, so basically you were eating outside. We don't enjoy the flies and winds gusts, just our preferences. This place is beautiful. The restaurant itself is so clean and modern. The area is fun. They have outdoor seating as well . They had outdoor games which im not for sure if the non residents can use. Theres a pickle and pool area too that would be cool to enjoy if they its accessible to non memebers. Since they do ask for.id and take pictures of the license plate i would imagine yes? But the food was super delicious. We have the firecraker shrimp and they were yummmmmy. Then i had mahi mahi wrap with sweet potatoes fries which both were delicious. My friend had the asian salad and she said it was good good. They were busy of course we went on a sunday right 12pm so cant complain cause its to be expected. The service girls were nice. This review represents my second time eating at Coopers. A group of 7 of us came for a week day lunch. We started with beat hummus that was served with pita wedges. I enjoyed the hummus as it was impressively flavored and topped with veggies. As we had vegans in our group we had the feta on the side. Several in our group ordered salads and enjoyed them. Another ordered a sandwich and it was gigantic. I got the stir fry that had a nice assortment of veggies cooked vibrantly that came with white rice. All r around a nice lunch with decent service. My only note is to bring a sweater as it's quite cool inside and the music is a bit loud so it's sometimes difficult to hear others at the table. read more

Stumbled upon Cooper's Kitchen while researching new restaurants in this area. It's a small establishment that we drove to for lunch, and we're pleasantly surprised. You'll need to go through a gated security checkpoint, but just let them know you're going to Cooper's and show them your ID to get in. I'm really stuck between a 3 and 4 star rating but I'm going with a 4 because the service and location are great! We live just 4 pick minutes from Coopers and how exciting it is when you live in Sunstone and can be at a nice place to eat in just 4 minutes! We made a reservation for dinner for the 6 of us but my 2 year old grandson decided he didn't need a nap that day and instead of disrupting a whole restaurant we ordered food to go and picked it up. When I called to place the order the young lady who helped me was so nice! She was patient and answered all of my questions. She gave me the total and told me she would call me when it was ready so we could just drive over and pick it up without having to wait. And that's exactly what she did. Our food was all packaged up and double checked for accuracy when we arrived. We ordered 3 burgers medium well, a club sandwich, a pasta dish and a stir fry with chicken along with an order of Brussels sprouts and chicken wings. When we got home we served everything on the table and it was all there along with plastic ware to eat with and an abundance of ketchup packets for the fries. Two of the 3 burgers were WAY undercooked- one of those burgers was for my 2 year old grandson so sadly we had to put it in the microwave to finish cooking. (Negative points for not having a kids burger on the menu and having to pay $19 for this big burger for the baby- he hot 2 meals out of it though). The pasta was good, the club sandwich was just ok. The stir fry was also good as well as the wings. I do want to go eat at the restaurant instead of bringing it home. From what I could tell it's so pretty inside! Maybe in the summer (probably more like spring) we can go over and enjoy the patio. I'm sure we will return to this location and try some other dishes, this was just a bit of a miss with the undercooked burgers, oh and the fries weren't all that great. read more

The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and the booths are comfortable. The food arrived quickly. We had a millionaire burger and spicy chicken sandwich. Both were very good and the sweet potato fries were hot and delicious... they seemed house made not frozen. There were a lot of menu items that appealed to us. The first time we went, the food was great. Went tonight and ordered the filet rare. It came out light pink, almost grey. After cutting into it, I took two bites which were tough and dry. I let the server know that it was overcooked and that she could take it and I would share with my daughter. I was very disappointed to see that the overcooked steak was still on the bill. She offered a comp dessert but we were done. I'm really disappointed and don't think we'll be back again due to the handling of this situation. I wish I had taken a pic of the steak to post here. And it's surprisingly excellent. After a quick ID scan with the gate attendant, a short drive brings you to Cooper Kitchen + Tap, a restaurant that perfectly blends comfort and sophistication. The ambiance is both casual and refined, with plush booths, a lively bar topped by TVs, and retractable doors that invite in the desert air. There's even an outdoor firepit for those perfect Vegas evenings. The menu, crafted by catering chef Jose Jimenez, offers a fresh take on New American cuisine with something for every palate. I'll admit, I half-expected the food to lean bland given its "retirement community" setting -- but that couldn't be further from the truth. My wife and I simply don't eat the portions many do so we usually share a few courses: Wedge Salad ($14): A giant, crisp wedge of refreshing iceberg lettuce topped with blue cheese crumbles, ranch-flavored croutons, and heirloom tomatoes. But the real star? The candied bacon -- absolutely addicting. Crispy Brussels Sprouts ($13): Served with Marcona almonds, feta, sweet herbs, and Calabrian chile agrodolce. The flavors were balanced and satisfying, though I'd have loved a few more almonds and a bit more heat from the chiles. Grilled Mahi Mahi ($24): A generous portion of perfectly charred, flaky and moist fish over coconut basmati rice, with a spicy red pepper coulis, asparagus, pineapple salsa, toasted coconut, and cilantro garnish. The coulis was reminiscent of a mild red curry, and the rice leaned toward a coconut congee (a rice "pudding" popular in Vietnamese cooking) texture -- a touch sweet for my taste, but overall a beautifully composed and flavorful dish. Sugar-Free Coconut Cream Pie ($8): A standout. Coconut filling, whipped cream, chocolate shavings, macadamia nuts, and toasted coconut in a gluten-free crust -- and completely sugar-free. Brilliant move for a restaurant catering to an older crowd, and frankly, a welcome option for anyone. Overall, Cooper Kitchen + Tap is a wonderful surprise -- warm, stylish, and serving food well above expectations. Even better, it's walking distance from home. We really wanted to like this place. Off the beaten path, takes reservations, and has a variety of seafood options. Checked in with the guard shack at the gate, and drove to the restaurant. Parked on the street and walked in. Whoever thought it was a good idea to tile a bar & restaurant had no sense of how sound reverberates. For being half empty, it was loud!! We were seated promptly by the hostess, and that's where the service ended. After 20 minutes we got water and our order was taken. That would be to last time anyone checked on us or refilled our water. 40 minutes later, our food still hadn't arrived and no one had checked on us. After flagging down a food runner, we got more water and he checked on our food which was finally being plated 45 minutes after we ordered it. Beautiful atmosphere inside and out. Food was beyond delicious and for the price you get a great amount. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Coopers Old Fashion was on point. A Friendly Duel: Two Sandwiches Enter, Both Win at Cooper's Kitchen & Tap Having too many excellent choices at Cooper's Kitchen & Tap is a very good problem to have. After our ambassador shift last Sunday, we were more than ready to settle in for dinner at one of our favorite spots. I've been making a conscious effort to branch out and try different menu items so I can share fresh impressions with you, but when something is already a favorite, resisting it can be tough. Enter the evening's challenge: a sandwich showdown. In one corner, the familiar and beloved Rocket Bird, grilled chicken topped with coleslaw and sriracha honey. In the other, the cold-weather siren song of the Prime Rib Dip, layered with Swiss cheese, caramelized onions, and served alongside a rich au jus. To complete the experiment, we added both regular fries and sweet potato fries, which we'd never tried before. Chef Jose offered a crucial insight before we ordered: while the Rocket Bird is excellent grilled, he prefers it fried. His reasoning? The sriracha honey clings to the crispy breading, elevating the entire sandwich. We followed his advice. A house white wine and a Cali Squeeze IPA rounded out our selections, and then it was time to judge. The results were clear. Chef Jose was absolutely right, the fried Rocket Bird is the way to go. The crunch of the chicken paired with the sticky heat and sweetness of the sriracha honey made every bite pop. It's a sandwich that knows exactly what it's doing. The Prime Rib Dip, meanwhile, was just as impressive as we remembered: juicy, deeply flavorful, and perfectly comforting. My wife and I have been here 3 times. Dinner, brunch, and Easter Sunday. Every time was a great experience. Super friendly staff. The vibe is upscale but relaxed. The food is all good. I wouldn't say it will blow you socks off but with the reasonable priced menu the value is there. Don't let the one star naysayers to influence you. Those people obviously had a bad day and want the place to be something it's not. It's a friendly neighborhood vibe with good drinks. Go had fun. Have a good drink.
