The waitress behind the counter called me a b** after i tried to ask for a glass of water. I then continued to be ignored. The bartender actually went through big lengths to actually avoid eye contact with me. The lady next to me actually told me that she had been waiting for a long time for service and if i just wait a bit, ill get a drink. I gave up after waiting for 10 minutes only to come back to my bf who went and got the water for me from the same bartender girl who called me a b**. He got served right away and thankfully i was able to get a glass of water to which the very unprofessional and rude bartender was too "busy" to get for me but apparently, not my bf. read more

I feel mixed about this spot since I have been twice with different experiences. I went for the first time a couple weeks ago to see a favorite comedian. I found the drinks to be overpriced but the drinks and service was good considering how many people 1 server was serving, but the second time I went to see a comedian I have never seen and the openers were better than the comedian. Now I won't hold that against CB Live but what was frustrating is that it took 30 minutes to get our first round of drinks. We had other servers stop by 4ish times to ask if we had already ordered and when we told them yes but we have been waiting for a bit we never saw them again. The worst part is the exact same thing happened with our second round. Like why spend the money on overpriced drinks that come super late? I would go again to see if this was just an off night but it was a bit of a bummer. read more

On the search for a soccer jersey, we happened across Copper Blues Live and thought it looked like the coolest place we had seen all day. The concert posters that line the bottom of the windows give off such a cool vibe that we drawn in immediately. Entering the restaurant side of the venue, the interior decor is incredible. The Beastie Boy mural across the back of the space, the green groovy Jimi Hendrix painting framed on both sides by green grass squares, and in the center, the bar with a stage above for live music. We were visiting town for a concert and this was our scene, we were in heaven. Sitting at the bar, we thought we would get quicker service, this was not the case. I think we came in near the shift cross over as the lone bar tender was pouring drinks for 6 waitress's that seemed more interested in huddling in their corner instead of trying to help the bar tender catch up (granted I know there are limitations on what certain people can and can't do and if they have the proper training). One of the waiting could have come and taken our order, reducing one thing off of the to do list. We ordered the chicken nachos and a margarita pizza. It didn't seem to take too long to get our food, but 3 orders of nachos were delivered to us, and no one knew where the other orders were supposed to go. When I dug in, the surface was luke warm and lacked in the flavor department. Luckily I was able to have some of the pizza, but I wouldn't recommend the nachos. As both of our beer glasses were empty, and fearing we would never get another beer, a new bar tender came in and saved the day. If it weren't for the second bar tender and having friends that were in the industry, I would have said something stronger against the bar tender, but I know she was doing the best she could with the circumstances. The additional bar tender helped out and made the second beer worth it. This seems like a pretty cool place and if I am ever back in Phoenix, I could see trying it again to give it a second chance. If nothing else, the interior decor is on point, even the exposed piping used in the restroom sinks! Go check out the decor and have a beer, just maybe don't sit at the bar. read more

We have been looking to spend more time and money in our local area versus traveling to lower Scottsdale, midtown and or downtown Phx to enjoy the latest destinations for social activity and dining. Following a movie at Desert Ridge we came across Copper Blues (CB). Took the plunge and we were overwhelmed by the people and the dining. Turns out one of their Manager's, Scott, had come here from True Foods Kitchen-a fabulous Fox Restaurant concept. This should have been our first clue. Yet it was Kimmy, our very professional & caring Server who walked the talk of both the highlights of their concept and how well they can execute on it. She could not have been more responsive and attentive. It did not hurt that we dined in between lunch and dinner so this helped. We also chatted at length with Scott about what CB is hoping to achieve here in both dining and on the entertainment portion. What a beautiful layout and the entertainment venue looks remarkable. Owners have major DNA in the music and comedy space, so this destination will surely get considerable more run as the year goes on. The food was crazy amazing, especially if one desires healthy, tasty and clean entrees. Veggie tacos, black bean burger and the gourmet salads are to "live for". We asked to speak to their Executive Chef Maribel. Wow, what a talent and what a commitment she and Scott are making to uber- optimize these delectable dishes. CB is a huge win for this part of the Valley and we could not be more thrilled. read more

I was surprised that CB Live also does a nice brunch! I have been both to the comedy club and the music side. Both are a fun time.

From the decor to the energy, CB live is awesome. I love the music and (most) of the talent brought in! It's such a great place and the age range is scattered which is awesome. The food needs help, like, a lot of help. This place is amazing and having better food would help so much. The burgers and sliders do not have any flavor - I literally only tasted the lettuce! I didn't taste the burger, bacon nor the onions and neither did my friend. The brussels were burnt to a crisp to where it tasted like charcoal and they were sour and not cooked correctly. I just think it would help to have better food or experienced cooks because the food is whack. Other than that, go get a drink and enjoy this place! read more

My original review for this place was a tank. Tonight we recovered. They had some growing pains but have definitely matured. Absolutely AMAZING. Best venue ever, service 5 Star, show 5 star, food 5 Star. So grateful for the opportunity to check this place out again. I would recommend to anyone. West side, north side, had nothing until CB live. Great night out! Definitely buy tickets you will not be let down!!! Music venue is great too. Same level of service and entertainment. Everything came out burnt, eve the nachos?!? The kids chicken was practically dehydrated, they re cooked them and said their having trouble because of the batter. The cut the chicken into smaller pieces but still burnt it. It was louder than a Metallica concert and it was a country band?? We couldn't wait for it to open and now we can't wait to forget it. read more

Service was atrocious. Went in with a group of 7 and after being seated for quite sometime a waitress came to take our order. She didn't write our order down and sure enough she forgot some of our orders and sides. The biggest disappointment was our food came before most of our drink orders! This should never happen at a restaurant and it wasn't even that busy. She even forgot a couple people's drinks and at that point after eating they didn't want to have a drink. Giving it 2 stars instead of 1 because the food was okay. Will not eat here again especially with better options for eating nearby. read more

If you're over 50, love bad cover bands, don't enjoy talking and waitresses who never smile, this is the place for you! The music is SO loud you cannot talk, order drinks or generally enjoy yourself. Waitresses never smile. Fire department was there for a long period of time in the women's bathroom due to someone being ill. This place is a giant, loud disappointment. read more

This location provides entertainment to an area that is further from Tempe and main Phoenix districts so it saved us a lot of time and driving. We saw Adam Conover here who I LOVE but the set up was strange with someone opening for him who didn't fit the crowd at all. Otherwise the food was really good and even being so busy the servers were very attentive. Such a fun place to go for live music. Every time we make a reservation we are sat immediately at a table with our name on it. Happy hour prices are great as well! Service is usually ok. They get busy so order a drink 10 minutes before you are ready for your next one. read more

The show was great but this place is so poorly managed and run. You buy tickets online but still have to check in at their box office which has 1 single person doing this job. Stood in line for 45 min to just get in. Then wait staff is short with 2 bartenders trying to make drinks for the whole place. Waitress did her best and was really nice. Didn't take our card at the beginning so I can see how people just leave without paying their bill. This place could be great but they have got to get the management details figured out. read more

Truly the service was awful, the only reason I'm giving three stars is because management, Sonia, was wonderful. The bartender was extremely rude and ignored us for about 20 minutes while we were just waiting to close out our tab. We politely asked the bar back for our tabs, and he told us the bartender would be right with us. (the barback was very polite and understanding). The bartender still never got to us and continued to close out others and make more drinks while we were waiting. We had to leave so we left enough cash to cover the tab on the bar top, and of course as soon as we leave the bartender decides to notice our existence. She yells at us that "we can't just walk out on our tab", which we didn't, and even made sure that the barback saw that we put cash down. If you're going to come here, I don't recommend sitting at the bar. read more

Terrible from the time we walked in. Had reservations. Place was empty. Our reservations were not accommodated because they were clueless. Ended up finding a table in the bar area on our own. Service was so incredibly slow. Hostess was dumb. Server that finally showed up was dumb. Manager came by to give us free tickets to a comedy show because he knows everyone is dumb that works there. Great comedy venue. Good view from everywhere. Good sound. Good performers. Went to show 8/3/19. The problem? Service. We waited over 30 minutes for our drinks (one drink was a water). Had to ask 6 different employees for napkins until we finally got some about 15 minutes after we asked. When it came time for the check, all parties at our long high top table were waiting over 10 minutes after showtime for their checks. This place would have made double what we paid if service would have been better. Very disappointing. read more

It takes them a while to seat you, then it takes more time for someone to actually take your drink or food order, then it takes even more time to get your food and check out. We went there not knowing what to expect on Friday night and were we disappointed. Salad was bland, my wife's food the same and they served our Iced Tea in these ridiculous small plastic cups... like we at a picnic or something. Super easy to find, and don't believe those bad reviews! Servers were attentive and fast even during the comedy show. Austin the waiter is a BLAST! Food was great and so were drinks, although they were expensive. Show was amazing, and I could hear ever word the comedian said even with a band playing next door. The only con would be being seated next to strangers on a VERY small table top. Definitely not big enough for 4 platters (sat with some really great ladies though) All in all pretty trendy place and definitely somewhere I would go again. read more

I also had a Female with me who was not being taking Care of. Our waitress Ermenia did a great job managing our large group and keeping drinks in front of us. By the end of the night she knew us all by name!
